Just when you thought there was absolutely, totally nothing else to build a reality show around, SpikeTV comes up with a new concept that blows that theory out of the water. The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed is reporting that the network has picked up the new reality series 'Auction Heroes.' Produced by Gurney Productions, the series will showcase two friends who make their fortunes by purchasing storage containers at auctions and re-selling their contents at pawn shops for a profit.
According to the cable channel, the show will highlight the this new frontier of uncovering riches that can be as cutthroat as Wall Street. Though not too cutthroat, as the production company will have exclusive access to one of the larger storage chains in the nation.
Eight 30-minute episodes of 'Auction Heroes' have been ordered by Spike. The stars of the show and the premiere date have yet to be announced.
