'Lewis Black's Root of All Evil' (10:30PM, Comedy Central) 2nd season premiere
This one should be a battle royale. Which is more likely the root of all evil: ultimate fighting or bloggers?
Tough call, but comedians Patton Oswalt and Andrew Daly will make their best cases in the season opener of the show that, at its best, is a great excuse for host Lewis Black's trademark rants.
Last season, Black presided over the mock court as Oswalt, Daly and fellow comics argued the inherent evilness of everything from Donald Trump and Viagra to high school and 'American Idol,' with Daly compiling a 2-0 record to Oswalt's uneven 2-2 tally.
Here's hoping the funny dudes finally get a chance to take on the match-up that, according to Black, has been banned so far: The nefarious natures of Scientology vs. Disney.
The Baby Borrowers -- An early look - VIDEO

NBC has a new reality series called The Baby Borrowers. When I attended NBC / Universal's Summer Press Event, I got to hear about it and meet some of the cast (two of whom are pictured to the right, Alicea and Cory). I also picked up the few first episodes and watched them this week. The show is a social experiment where teens are put on the fast track to adulthood as they have to run a household and care for children in different stages of life.

On Friday I attended the All-American Summer Press Event held by NBC Universal. The event was held at the Langham Hotel (formerly the Ritz-Carlton) in Pasadena, CA. It included the casts and producers of the following shows: American Gladiators, Nashville Star, Shear Genius, and Last Comic Standing. NBC also held panels for two new shows: Celebrity Circus and Baby Borrowers. Find out what Wolf said and what's in store for next season on NBC and Bravo after the jump...
NBC developing British series The Baby Borrowers
by Adam Finley, posted Mar 15th 2007 12:03PM
A six-episode commitment is in place for The Baby Borrowers, a new reality series for NBC in which teenage couples are taken through the gauntlet of parenthood in just one month, during which they must care for a baby, then a toddler, then a pre-teen, and finally, grandparents. The new series is based on the popular British series of the same name, and the five couples featured on the show will be supervised at all times. Otherwise, the show would be called something like, Abandoned Babies, which doesn't exactly sell commercial time.
