by Chris Harnick, posted Nov 28th 2011 11:10AM
Bethenny Frankel Talk ShowBad news for Bethenny Frankel: The reality star has been left out in the talk show cold, according to New York Post's Page Six.

The former 'Real Housewives of New York City' star had a talk show set up at Telepictures, but after failing to find a syndicated home for the daytime series, the company has reportedly dropped the project.

The daytime landscape has gotten mighty crowded as of late. Anderson Cooper's 'Anderson' has been picked up for a new season and Katie Couric, Jeff Probst, Ricki Lake and Steve Harvey all have landed talk show deals and homes for their series.

Did Bethenny Frankel Fake Being Lost at Sea for Her TV Show?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 11th 2011 6:45AM
Bethenny FrankelBethenny Frankel has parlayed being a cast member of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' into a flourishing business empire and reality TV show franchise. Now, however, questions are being asked about how "real" her reality show is. Are some scenes faked for the cameras?

Last month Frankel said that she and husband Jason Hoppy were lost at sea off of the Massachusetts coastline for 20 hours: "It was traumatic. Absolutely traumatic."

Sounds scary, right? Well, maybe not. Frankel's rescuer Tim Russell says that she was never lost at sea, or in any danger, and that the whole thing was a phoney, staged for the benefit of the Bravo camera crew on board the boat with her.

Denis Leary Angles for a Cut of Bethenny Frankel's 'Skinnygirl' Millions on 'The View' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 12th 2011 6:00PM
Denis Leary wants some of Bethenny Frankel's Skinnygirl money on 'The View'Before she was a 'Real Housewife of New York City' or a millionaire entrepreneur, Bethenny Frankel was a cook for the show 'Rescue Me.' Tuesday on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC), 'Rescue Me' star Denis Leary and Frankel were reunited, and Leary reminded her of a particular nickname he thinks gives him a claim to a slice of Frankel's "Skinnygirl" cocktail empire, which she sold for $120 million in April.

"I want a cut on the 120 million," said Leary. "First of all, I always talk about myself, and you probably remember this, I used to refer to myself as 'The Skinny Bitch.' That's my nickname for myself. Okay?" No dice. Frankel reminded him her imprint is Skinnygirl, not bitch. Leary said he'd settle for just a million.

Bethenny Frankel Filming Talk Show Pilot

by PopEater Staff, posted Jun 16th 2011 7:30AM
Bethenny FrankelBethenny Frankel is one busy lady combining her role as wife and mother with successful careers in business and reality TV. Now she's taking on yet another project: It's been announced that she's started working on a pilot for her own daytime talk show.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Frankel started taping footage for an advice-based show earlier this month, and that she's been getting tips from Ellen DeGeneres, who is also involved in the project with Telepictures.

Frankel has long hinted that getting her own talk show -- as opposed to her Bravo reality series, 'Bethenny Ever After' -- was something she really wanted and saw in her future.

"I would like a daytime talk show because my conversation with my fans right now is through social networking, and my TV show communicates what I'm doing, but it isn't really a dialogue or a conversation," she told PopEater earlier this year, adding, "Most of my business wishes come true."

Jill Zarin Tells Leah Remini She'd Make a Great 'Real Housewife' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 15th 2011 5:10PM
Leah Remini on 'The Real Housewives of New York City' on 'The Talk''The Real Housewives of New York City' is missing its most recognizable face this season without Bethenny Frankel. But that hasn't hurt the show, said Jill Zarin on Wednesday's 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). Zarin said she was happy for Frankel and all of her post-show success, and then got into the details that make the show popular, the interpersonal friction between the different housewives.

At the insistence of Leah Remini, Zarin addressed her troubles with fellow housewife Ramona Singer. "Have you sat her down, seriously, off camera and said, 'Ramona, come and watch the show and look how you look," said Remini. Zarin said she was having problems with Singer lying about small details, like whether Zarin owned the Ferrari she drove in season one.

Remini was so passionate about the feud that Holly Robinson Peete asked Zarin if she thought Remini would make a good addition to the cast. Zarin said she would, and Remini seemed open to the idea, saying she loves the show.

'Real Housewives of New York City' Ratings Do Just Fine Without Bethenny

by PopEater Staff, posted Jun 11th 2011 2:00PM
Bethenny Frankel
Maybe Bethenny Frankel wasn't as integral to the success of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' as we thought -- ratings for the Bravo show have actually increased since Bethenny Frankel left the show.

"During filming and again just prior to our fourth season airing, many articles popped up stating that RHONY would flop after Bethenny's departure," a current cast member told Rob Shuter of AOL TV sister site PopEater. "Many of these seemed to be veiled leaks by B and her team, designed to hurt us and boost her own spin off. Unfortunately for them, those plans didn't pan out."

"I'm always lookin for a gig," he replied gamely.

Bethenny Frankel Explains How She Helped Hoda Through 'Social Constipation' (VIDEO)

Bethenny Frankel helps Hoda Kotb loosen up on 'Today'Bethenny Frankel was on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) promoting her new book, 'A Place of Yes: 10 Rules For Getting Everything You Want Out of Life.' Apparently Hoda Kotb was a beneficiary of Frankel's ability to get to "yes" earlier this year when Frankel matched Kotb up with her current boyfriend, Jay. It was something Frankel doesn't believe Kotb would have done herself.

Kotb was at a book signing event when Frankel got Jay's daughters to convince him to come out so he could meet Kotb. "Hoda is here right now, get him down here, maybe he's cute, she's in a big group of people," Frankel remembers saying.

100 Most Powerful Celebrities List: Which TV Stars Made the Cut?

by Catherine Lawson, posted May 19th 2011 8:00AM
Bethenny FrankelForbes has published its annual list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities List, and this year it contains a few shockers: Oprah's been knocked off the top spot, there's a teenager in the Top 3, and reality star Bethenny Frankel makes the cut.

Oprah Winfrey's ceded poll position to Lady Gaga, despite earning roughly three times as much.

Gaga's moved up from No. 4 on the list, which measures celebrity power through a combination of entertainment-related earnings, media visibility and social media popularity.

Although 'Forbes' estimated Gaga's earnings in the last year as $90 million -- as opposed to Oprah's mighty $290 million -- it also noted the huge importance of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers.

'Forbes' editor Dorothy Pomerantz explained that, "Lady Gaga beat Oprah this year because of her social media power. She can use Twitter and Facebook to work the 'little monsters' into a frenzy that leads to record sales and media attention. She's the best example of how celebrities will need to manage their careers in the coming years."

Billy Bush Asks Bethenny Frankel for Money (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 11th 2011 5:20PM
Bethenny Frankel on 'Access Hollywood Live'Bethenny Frankel's money has been the source of some back and forth recently, centering around the sale of her Skinnygirl Margarita business. The sale has been reported to have netted $120 million for Frankel, although today on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC), Frankel wouldn't give Billy Bush exact numbers. But Bush assumed it was a multi-million dollar deal. And he could use a little help.

"Give me a million," he said. Frankel said she didn't have cash on her. "Give me your shoes," he asked. Frankel pointed out they weren't expensive shoes. Bush praised her for being frugal.

Kit Hoover's concern was more for the booze, as she held up a margarita and said she hoped that Frankel was "laughing all the way to the bank." Probably so, but cheap shoes and margaritas aren't a good combination for traveling.

Wendy Williams Tells Ramona Singer: 'Get Over It' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 10th 2011 6:45PM
'The Wendy Williams Show'On Tuesday's 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Williams stepped into a feud between two of the women from the 'The Real Housewives of New York City.'

On TVSquad.com's sister site, PopEater.com, Ramona Singer said she didn't think Bethenny Frankel actually sold her Skinnygirl Margarita business for the reported price of $120 million. Singer has her own alcohol business, the Ramona Pinot Grigio line of wines.

Singer said she thought Frankel might have made $30 million, split between partners. "I don't care if that is an inflated thing," Williams said on her show, "if you cut that in half and cut it in half again, that's still 20 million dollars that she didn't have when she started as a housewife."

Williams reminded Frankel, who was not on the show, that she is rich and has a husband and a baby, and advised Singer to "Get over it." What might help is a lot of wine.

Bethenny Frankel, 'Bethenny Ever After'Bethenny Frankel premiered the SkinnyGirl brand in 2009, and now on the season finale of 'Bethenny Every After' (Mon., 10PM ET on Bravo) she was contemplating whether to sell.

When she and her husband Jason sat down to talk about it, he described the offer by telling Bethenny "You're gonna be a very rich woman." It was the culminating moment of all her work, and she vowed to go through with it because she never allows herself to celebrate.

"I want Skinny Girls coming out of the faucets," Bethenny said. "You will be flushing the toilet bowl with Skinny Girls swirling around it, okay."

Jason and Bethenny Steal a Quiet Moment of Love on 'Ever After' (VIDEO)

Bethenny Frankel, 'Bethenny Ever After'During their Christmas celebration, Bethenny and Jason found a quiet moment together on 'Bethenny Ever After' (Mon., 10PM ET on Bravo). On a wagon ride that was almost away from the trappings of civilization -- except for that pesky highway blasting right by -- Jason got a little sentimental about their new lives together.

"Don't make me cry," Bethenny told him not once, but twice. Nevertheless, Jason would not be stopped and he made her cry anyway. But they were good tears.

"My family has not had a lot of happiness in a long time, and you've brought that happiness to us," he told her. Bethenny could do little more than echo his words in the moment.

Bethenny and Her 'Ice Husband' Bicker Behind the Scenes of 'Skating With the Stars' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 26th 2011 1:13AM
'Skating with the Stars' - 'Bethenny Ever After'We can't help but think these episodes of 'Bethenny Ever After' (Mon., 10PM ET on Bravo), chronicling her behind-the-scenes adventures as a cast member on 'Skating with the Stars,' would be more compelling if that show hadn't been a colossal flop. Now it's like watching her compete so hard on something that ultimately nobody's going to care about.

Still, for those who did watch 'Skating,' now they can see how smooth the relationship between Frankel and her professional partner Ethan Burgess wasn't.

Between his complaining and wincing in pain and her snapping and barking orders, it's a wonder they were able to get it together to come in second on the short-lived competition series.

Nanny Gives Salty Defense of Bethenny's 'Skating With the Stars' Effort (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 19th 2011 4:00AM
Bethenny, Jason on 'Bethenny Ever After'After Bethenny Frankel's first performance on 'Skating With the Stars' last December, the judges -- and everyone else in America -- lambasted her effort. On 'Bethenny Ever After' (Mon., 10PM ET on BRAVO), she and Jason are shocked by the other contestants' scores and the many rude comments Bethenny received.

"Why are you so mad at me?" Bethenny wonders of the judges. "I came here to ice skate, make a fool of myself. Why can't you just say, 'Oh, nice outfit, nice ass, nice anything'?" She also contests that Vince Neil scored better, though he fell down and she didn't.

At least their baby's nanny is on her side. She leaves a voicemail message saying, "You looked beautiful. You danced beautiful, a wonderful job. But you know what I'd like to do? I'd like to..." and a stream of expletives pours forth. However she'd like to get back at the judges for their critique, it's so bad that the entire thing is bleeped out -- and it's a lengthy sound.
