Betty White Decides to Start Naming Names on 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 30th 2011 3:00AM
Betty White, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Watching the progression of the show from backstage, Betty White had a stark realization that she revealed on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central). She's been going about her celebrity all wrong, striving to keep her personal life private.

Instead, she should be naming names. The drawback, though, is that she's pushing 90 now -- which by the way isn't an accomplishment, it's just something that happens -- and it's hard to remember the guys she's had.

Jon Stewart suggested she use headshots to remember them, but you don't always want to remember what they looked like. Sometimes the hazy glasses of memory will make things far better than they really were, and that can be a very good thing.

Neil Patrick Harris Sneaks a Kiss From Betty White (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 29th 2011 12:30PM
Yesterday, 'Live! With Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) guest-host and 'How I Met Your Mother Star' Neil Patrick Harris joked that he wanted to make out with Betty White. On Tuesday he got his chance, as the 89-year-old comedienne stopped by 'Live' in advance of the 'Hot in Cleveland' Season 3 premiere (Wed., Nov. 30 at 10PM ET on TV Land.)

The two talked about a potential White 'HIMYM' cameo that never came to be. Before White's late-career resurgence, Harris wanted White to guest-star on the show as sexy cougar that his character Barney Stinson would hook up with. White shared that she was thrilled after getting a call from a 'HIMYM' producer asking her to be on an episode, but never heard back about it.

To make up for the missed opportunity, Harris asked White for a kiss on the cheek. When she leaned in, he turned his face around snuck one on the lips. Something tells us she didn't mind.

by Stephanie Opella, posted Nov 3rd 2011 5:30PM
Ace Frehley, aka the Spaceman, landed in the 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) studios to talk about his life in and out of the glam-rock band, KISS. Matt Lauer got right to the point: "I think anybody who watched KISS over the years, probably the thought crossed their minds that you guys dabbled in drugs." Ace fully copped to embracing the '70s lifestyle.

"You gotta realize, Studio 54 and that whole scene in Manhattan in the '70s, a lot of people were doing cocaine." So much so that the band had a code name for the party-drug. "Well, we called it Betty White," he said, giggling.

Betty White Proves She's 'Still Hot' in Luciana Music Video (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 13th 2011 1:30PM
Betty White is America's favorite senior citizen, and she's still sassy after all these years. The comedienne is still going strong at 89-years-old, starring on 'Hot in Cleveland' and now appearing in a new music video from techno rapper Luciana aptly titled 'I'm Still Hot.'

In the video, White sits on a throne and eats cake with a bunch of shirtless, buff younger dudes while singing the song's chorus. According to 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) White appeared in the video to raise awareness for the Lifeline Program, which provides information on financial options for seniors. In addition, part of the proceeds from the song's iTunes sales will be donated to the Greater Los Angeles Zoo association.

Betty White Announces She's Running for President on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 11th 2011 6:15AM
Betty White, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Betty White is always a hoot when she makes her frequent stops to 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She usually spotlights some zany new job she has and passes sexual innuendos back and forth with Craig Ferguson, but this time she had some serious business to talk about.

White has decided to run for president, and she's doing it for a reason many Americans can relate to in these tough economic times. "I needed some cash," she said. "I'm flat broke."

Unfortunately, she didn't put as much thought into her campaign posters. She brought one to show Ferguson, which mimicked the color style of the Barack Obama 'Hope' posters. But her message might be misconstrued. The posters read 'White Power.'

Kathie Lee Tells Betty White a Dirty Pirate Joke (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 30th 2011 2:35PM
Kathie Lee Gifford's been taking a vacation from 'Today' (9AM ET on NBC) this week, and spent part her time off on the set of 'Hot in Cleveland,' filming an upcoming cameo. The location gave Gifford the perfect 'Funny Friday' audience, as Betty White has never met a dirty joke she didn't like.

Gifford told White the joke in her dressing room. It began, "A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel down his pants," and ended with America's lovably crass grandma cracking up. We won't spoil the punchline, but it rest assured, it included them both making their best pirate "Aaarrrr," noises.

Betty White on Luciana's video set on 'Good Day New York'You won't find many 89-year-olds in front of the cameras in a pop music video. Unless, of course, that 89-year-old is Betty White, who stars in Luciana's new video for 'I'm Still Hot.' 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) got a look at the making of the video, which features White sitting on a throne surrounded by scantily clad male models.

"It's a switch for me, I'll tell you," said White. "It's fun, but they gave me these nice young men to work with. They're build like little brick outhouses."

Behind-the-Scenes Look at 'Hot In Cleveland' Proves Even Betty White Can't Always Keep a Straight Face (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 11th 2011 3:30PM
Betty White getting fresh on the set of 'Hot In Cleveland' Because we can't get enough of Betty White riffing off of her naughty image, Wednesday's episode of 'Hot In Cleveland' (Wednesdays, 10PM on TV Land) provided a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show, featuring White fondling crew members and laughing about some suggestive lines of dialogue.

This particular piece of salty dialogue called for White to say that her screen name was "Bender Over," and she lost it. With the cast assembled in directors chairs on set, Wendie Malick reminded White of that shoot. "That night when you did 'Bender Over,' you just could not hang on," she said. "You absolutely could not."

Jennifer Love Hewitt Plays Victoria's Daughter on 'Hot In Cleveland' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 28th 2011 6:15PM
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Betty White on 'Hot In Cleveland'Victoria (Wendie Malick) has done some things in her life she'd rather not see made public. So when her daughter Emmy (Jennifer Love Hewitt, appearing in a guest role) decides to write a tell-all book, she has to think quickly to convince her not to, and enlists Elka (Betty White) to play Emmy's old nanny and talk some sense into her. That was the plot for this week's 'Hot In Cleveland' (Wednesdays, 10PM on TV Land), which also involved bad accents and Indians tickets.

"Just like your book, it could make everyone feel sorry for your mum and ... and she gets all the attention," Elka told Emmy. The bad Irish accent is because Emmy's old nanny was Irish, and Elka was trying to play the part. She did it well enough to convince Emmy to change her mind, and she declared she would cancel the book deal. And the movie deal, the one where the producers wanted Emmy and Victoria to play themselves.

Doris Roberts Gets Punched by Betty White on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 21st 2011 6:45AM
'Hot in Cleveland'It was an emotional roller coaster when Elka (Betty White) ran into her former best friend Lydia, played by Doris Roberts, on 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land).

Their friendship had ended when Elka caught Lydia in a tent with her husband. So when she saw her old friend, she did what anyone would do. She knocked her out with a hard right hook.

Lydia tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding, and that Elka's husband was only warming her because of frostbite. It was pretty convincing when she showed her three-toed foot, but it turned out to still be a fantasy.

Still, it wasn't all bad. When Lydia's son showed up, Elka saw so much of her deceased husband in him. So much that despite her anger at Lydia, she couldn't bring herself to tell the truth to the son her husband had with her best friend. She simply enjoyed the chance to look into her husband's eyes again.

Elka Gives Victoria Pointers on Acting Old on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)

'Hot in Cleveland' - 'Love Thy Neighbor'For probably the first time in her entire life, Victoria Chase wanted to be older on 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land). She was trying for the lead part in a local production of 'Driving Miss Daisy,' but the director said she was too young for the part.

Not to be outdone, Victoria decided to prove it to him by going deep into character as an old person, and she tapped Elka to help her get the nuances right.

"Good speed," Elka said as Victoria slowly shuffled into the room in her track suit, thick glasses and white wig. "Now feel the lack of burn."

The Ladies Enter a Battle of the Bands Contest on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 7th 2011 3:46AM
Betty White, 'Hot in Cleveland'With Melanie's bucket-list book being expanded into a column for a magazine, the girls decided to enter a Battle of the Bands contest on 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land). Unfortunately, as happens with so many great bands, infighting led to them breaking up before the gig.

That left Joy vulnerable to Rick's advances toward getting her to join his band. The problem for the ladies is that Joy was the only one who could sing. So when competition time came, and Rick ratted out their attempts to use autotune, they were left vulnerable ... and frankly, rather awful-sounding.

"What they need is a singer," Rick laughed. But Joy turned the tables on him and joined her friends on stage to save the day. This is a "classic" sitcom after all. How did you expect it to end?

The Girls Get a Shocking Late Night Visitor on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 23rd 2011 10:10AM
'Hot in Cleveland'The women of 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land) were terrified that an ex-con was coming to get them, so when they heard a noise outside in the middle of the night, they expected the worst.

Luckily, Melanie was prepared with her ... sunscreen? Well at least Elka was packing heat, as if you'd expect anything less. Her "Polish pellet gun" looked more like something you'd take down an elephant with, but at least it was harmless, right?

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Not so fast, as it went off when Joy threw it on the couch, firing through the window and inadvertantly hitting their late night prowler. To make matters worse for Joy, it wasn't an ex-con or any other sort of prowler that you wouldn't feel so bad about shooting accidentally.

The episode saw the 'HiC' gals searching for Elka (Betty White), who Victoria (Wendie Malick) found in the unlikeliest of places after a rough night in Ohio's Amish Country.

Betty White on 'Late Night'Betty White took a stroll down Memory Lane on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC).

The veteran actress took on host Jimmy Fallon in a game of 'Password.' White was a frequent guest on the original 'Password' network TV game show, which aired in the '60s and '70s.

In fact, White's involvement in the show went further than just guest-starring on it: She married "the man in the middle," Allen Ludden.

'Password' host Ludden became White's third husband in 1963 and they remained together until his death in 1981. In fact, in a touching moment, White told Fallon that her appearance on his version of 'Password' marked what would have been her and Ludden's 48th wedding anniversary.

So, after a such a lovely story you'd have thought that Fallon would let her win, wouldn't you?
