Angie Harmon Talks About the 'Rizzoli & Isles' Winter Episodes (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 28th 2011 3:00PM
Angie Harmon stars as Detective Jane Rizzoli on TNT's highly-rated detective drama 'Rizzoli & Isles,' which makes its midseason premiere tonight at 10PM ET and features a cameo from Bill O'Reilly. Harmon stopped by 'Live! With Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) where she talked about the five-episode "winter season" that will conclude the show's second season, and the challenges of balancing her work and family life.

Harmon told Kelly Ripa and 'Live' guest-host Neil Patrick Harris how the mini-season came into being. "We signed on to do a certain amount of episodes... and because the show is loved ... they added five more episodes ... to which I was like, 'Yay! Wait ..." Harmon's ambivalence stems from the extra time she had to spend away from her family, who lives in North Carolina, while the show shoots in L.A.

Bill O'Reilly Refuses to Give Letterman a High Five (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 14th 2011 10:50AM
Bill O'Reilly earned himself a new nickname with his latest appearance on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). David Letterman proposed the notion that America turned Iraq into a hotbed of terrorism that it wasn't before our invasion.

Then, in a move that clearly surprised him, O'Reilly essentially agreed with him that our going in was a mistake. He supported it initially based on claims there were weapons of mass destruction there, which turned out to be false.

Letterman then decided to seal their moment of agreement with a high five, which O'Reilly was not inclined to do. At one point, he even chastised Letterman. "We're having a good conversation. Sit down," he ordered.

Did Jon Stewart Just Get Aroused by Bill O'Reilly on 'The Daily Show'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 3:45AM
Bill O'Reilly, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart have been fostering and nurturing a love/hate relationship for years now. But it genuinely seems to be one built on a mutual respect for one another, which is refreshing to see.

On O'Reilly's latest trip to 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), though, it seemed to shift categorically in one direction.

And it's all because the two first agreed on a point O'Reilly made. And then O'Reilly used the world "sympatico" to describe their mutual understanding.

"You know, when you speak a foreign language," Stewart said slowly. "It is oddly arousing."

Jon Stewart Doesn't See Downside of Bill O'Reilly Quitting Over Tax Hikes (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 22nd 2011 3:45AM
'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'When making an argument against potential tax hikes against the richest Americans, Bill O'Reilly chose the wrong way to go about it. At least, it was wrong if you're Jon Stewart. He was delighted on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) about the possibilities O'Reilly presented.

He showed a clip of O'Reilly talking on his own show about the potential tax hikes. "If Barack Obama begins taxing me more than 50 percent, which is very possible, I don't know how much longer I'm gonna do this," he said. "I like my job, but there comes a point when taxation becomes oppressive."

When it cut back to Stewart, he had a devilish little grin on his face. "So if taxes are raised, Bill O'Reilly might quit his Fox show?" he asked rhetorically.

Stephen Colbert Asks Keith Olbermann If It Hurts To Know Bill O'Reilly Won (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 16th 2011 1:30PM
Keith Olbermann talks about Bill O'Reilly and Current TV on 'The Colbert Report'The last episode of 'Countdown with Keith Olbermann,' aired on January 21, 2011. Olbermann's departure from MSNBC ended, perhaps temporarily, his long-running battle with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly. With Olbermann returning to TV on June 20 on Curent TV, he stopped by 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30pm ET on Comedy Central), where Stephen Colbert asked if losing that battle hurt.

"Has it been painful in these last 145 days to live with the knowledge that Bill O'Reilly won?" asked Colbert. "He jacked you so hard you landed in Current TV." Olbermann laughed it off and said that O'Reilly was responsible "for my promotion and my raise."

Bill O'Reilly: 'Fox News is the Most Powerful Media Agency in the World' (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Nov 23rd 2010 5:35PM
Bill O'Reilly is easily the most watched and probably the most influential personality on Fox News. Does that make him the most powerful media figure in the world? Well, reading between the lines of what O'Reilly said on Monday's 'Factor' (weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News), he just might think that he is.

"Here at Fox we have emerged, and correct me if you think I'm wrong, but I think Fox News is the most powerful media agency in the world, not just the country, but in the world," O'Reilly said to media expert Bernie Goldberg.

Goldberg disagreed, suggesting the New York Times wields more influence because it sets the agenda of the traditional broadcast networks. O'Reilly countered by arguing that "Fox News can sway public opinion much faster than the New York Times."

What do you think? Has Fox News become the world's most powerful media organization?

Bill Maher: Republican Party a Bunch of 'Religious Lunatics, Flat-Eathers and Civil War Reenactors' (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 30th 2010 3:27PM
Bill Maher and Bill O'Reilly squared off on the state of conservatism in America on Wednesday night's 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News.)

O'Reilly began the segment by telling Maher that he remembered that Maher used to be a lot less liberal. Maher agreed, but said that wasn't because his political philosophy shifted, but rather because "the left moved to the center and the right moved into a mental institution."

"There used to be ideological differences that were understandable," Maher explained. "That has gone away."

"The Republican party now is just a bunch of religious lunatics, flat-earthers and Civil War reenactors,' Maher continued, making O'Reilly laugh with his characterization. "So I don't think it was me who changed so much."

Maybe someday Maher will tell us what he really thinks.

Bill O'Reilly Explains Jon Stewart's Ongoing War With Fox News (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 22nd 2010 4:00PM
Bill O'Reilly tries to make sense out of Jon Stewart's ongoing war with Fox News on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on FNC), declaring Stewart as an emerging "point man for the left-wing media" who is "genuinely offended" by Fox News.

"With the decline of the New York Times and other liberal newspapers ... [Stewart] is now the face of the left on television. He's far more influential than Bill Maher, Michael Moore, all of these other bomb throwers. And he, himself, is smart," O'Reilly said.

TV 101: How Keith Olbermann And Glenn Beck Eat Your Soul

by Jay Black, posted Mar 3rd 2010 2:02PM
Are these the two most evil people in America? Trick question: they aren't human!America, we need to talk.

There was a time when you were my favorite country in the world. Sure, you invented the Snuggie and insisted on airing multiple shows about making cakes for some reason, but you were always pretty stable. Well, that's changed and I think I know why.

You're addicted, America. You're addicted to something more insidious than nicotine or cocaine or Pokémon: you're addicted to Opinion Based News Shows.

Don't deny it! I've seen the signs! What started as an innocent attempt to have more talking points at parties has begun to rage out of control. Sometimes it seems you can't even make a move without a little taste of Keith or Glenn just to get you "right".

Well, I'm not going to watch my friend go down without a fight. This is your wake-up call America. This is your intervention.

Seth MacFarlane: 'Down Syndrome Actress Doesn't Need Sarah Palin's Pity' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 22nd 2010 12:20AM
Real Time With Bill Maher, Seth MacFarlane, Sarah PalinBlend together Seth MacFarlane, Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin, and a Down syndrome actress, and things are probably going to get a little touchy.

On 'Real Time With Bill Maher' (Fri., 10PM ET on HBO), MacFarlane discussed a 'Family Guy' clip depicting a character with Down syndrome talking about her parents -- an accountant and the former Governor of Alaska.

The actress who voiced the part actually has Down syndrome and released a statement. "It was basically saying Sarah Palin has no sense of humor," said MacFarlane. "What Sarah Palin, I think, was doing was coming out and saying 'I'm here to defend you,' and what Andrea the actress had said was 'I don't need you to use this piece of cartoon footage to inspire phony pity for me, because I'm very happy and very content with my life.'"

Thoughts on this? Is the 'Family Guy' clip funny or offensive? Was Palin right to try and defend the actress?

Bill O'Reilly Tones Down the Funny in Final Part of His Jon Stewart Interview

by Danny Gallagher, posted Feb 5th 2010 5:29PM
Bill O'Reilly wrapped up the final portion of his interview with Jon Stewart on last night's 'O'Reilly Factor' and if you tuned in hoping for a night of hilariousness, well...you still got it. But this time, you got it from the right person.

Jon Stewart, the host of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show', kept his trademark charm and wit at high volume during the third and final portion of their edited interview, even though the tone and substance of their discussion got a lot more serious.

And thankfully, O'Reilly put down his red nose and took off his clown make-up for this portion of the interview. As Joel mentioned yesterday, O'Reilly is painful to watch when he tries to be funny. Screw waterboarding; the NSA should have hired him as the emcee for their interrogations.

Jon Stewart Talks Sarah Palin, Iran on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly on 'The O'Reilly Factor'Another Jon Stewart segment aired on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weeknights, 8PM ET on FNC) (check out last night's), and the talk turned to Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, Iran, and the possibility of Bill O'Reilly running for President with Stewart as his Vice-Presidential running mate.

That's hard to wrap your head around, and no doubt some folks would rather have Stewart as President. Either way, both of these guys can be somewhat annoying. There, we've said it. How about a smackdown in the squared circle? A little 'Wrestlemania' action between these two would be awesome!

Why Does Bill O'Reilly Keep Trying to Out-Funny Jon Stewart?

by Joel Keller, posted Feb 4th 2010 4:01PM
Bill O'Reilly has been on top of the cable news heap for fourteen years now, and for a good reason: whether you agree or not with his politics or his interview style, the man does a great job of putting his interview subjects on the spot and making them squirm. And, let's face it: squirmy interviews make for compelling TV.

One thing O'Reilly doesn't have is a sense of humor. At all. He's just too intense of a personality who takes himself too seriously to be funny. But, for some reason, whenever he gets in Jon Stewart's presence either on 'The Daily Show' or his own 'The O'Reilly Factor,' he spends half the interview belittling 'TDS' and its audience and trying to keep up with Stewart joke-for-joke instead of interviewing him on substance. And it never, ever works.

Here's the first half of the first part of his interview with Stewart, which aired on the 'Factor' last night. The second half is after the jump.

Bill O'Reilly Points Finger at Jon Stewart on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 4th 2010 2:30AM
The O'Reilly Factor, Jon StewartJon Stewart appeared on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weeknights, 8PM and 11PM ET on FNC) last night, and was given a little what-for on how he presents Fox News on 'The Daily Show.' After some frightening finger-pointing by Bill O'Reilly, Stewart finally conceded a few things.

"Fox News is the most passionate and sells the clearest narrative of any news organization, if that's how ... are you still referring to it in that manner?" said Stewart.

O'Reilly answered, "Right, that's how the poll referred to it. Nobody had any problem with it. Only you."

Jon Stewart Goes on 'The O'Reilly Factor' Tonight

by Brad Trechak, posted Feb 3rd 2010 10:00AM
Jon Stewart on FoxIt isn't the first time that these two opposing television forces of Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly have collided. Their last match-up was in 2004. However, tonight on the Fox News Channel you can see the first of two parts of the big O'Reilly/Stewart smackdown during 'The O'Reilly Factor.' Two out of three falls! For the Championship of the World!

Well, maybe not any of that stuff, but it will likely be entertaining. Considering that I've watched O'Reilly on 'The Colbert Report' (Papa Bear came home) and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (it was edited for content), I can't see this particular meeting of the minds as anything major.

Of the two, Stewart seems the more savvy but it's likely that O'Reilly will be the winner of any political debate that occurs. After all, he controls the editing room.

Oh please leave political rants in the comments! I beg you! Please, please, please!
