Bristol Palin Gets BIO Reality Series
by Chris Harnick, posted May 9th 2011 2:00PM
Bristol Palin has scored her own reality series. The daughter of Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska, will star in her own series on BIO.According to BIO, the show will follow Palin as she moves from Alaska to Los Angeles with her baby Tripp. She goes to work at a small charity and moves in with fellow 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant Kyle Massey and his brother Christopher.
"Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to," David McKillop, executive vice president of programming, A&E Network and BIO Channel, said in a statement. "Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she's opening up her real life, with her son and her friends the Massey Brothers."
The project is currently untitled.
Want to hear some celebrity ghost stories?
by Mike Moody, posted May 12th 2009 8:02PM
...the Bio channel hopes that you do. Bio is looking to expand its programming schedule for the new TV season with a number of new shows and pilots, including Celebrity Ghost Stories. The show will offer eight hour-long episodes featuring celebs like Carrie Fisher, Joan Rivers and Scott Baio talking about their real-life run-ins with ghosts.
OK, this show sounds crazy, but I'm gonna watch it anyway. I'll skip the Joan Rivers ep (she's nuts, so I buy that she sees ghosts, giant purple elephants and God knows what else all day), but I'm curious to hear what Carrie Fisher has to say.
Press Kits Unwrapped: 'Til Death
by Adam Finley, posted Sep 7th 2006 1:25PM
Ah, Brad Garrett finally returns to television after playing Ray Romano's secret transsexual lover on Everybody Loves Raymond for nine seasons (I never watched the show, so I'm just assuming). At any rate, he's back starring in 'til Death, a series about a couple that have been married for almost 9,000 days who get new neighbors, a young newlywed couple who have yet to realize just how trying a marriage can be once that initial spark dies down and reality sets in. The series debuts this evening at 8, but before you tune in, let's take a gander at all the cool stuff FOX included in its press kit for the show.
What you (don't) know about the creator of My Name is Earl
by Adam Finley, posted Jan 23rd 2006 4:03PM
Anyone with an eye for detail knows that the Internet Movie Database isn't always accurate in
its bio or trivia sections. This isn't so much the fault of the site as it the fault of people who submit information,
but in the case of My Name is Earl creator Gregory Thomas Garcia, he has only himself to blame. It seems that
Garcia actually submitted some information about himself for his IMDb page which stated he was the grandson of
Cantinflas, a Mexican comedian who passed away over ten years ago. The thing is, it's not true. Garcia was just having
a bit of fun, but that little tidbit has made it's way into a few news stories about him. I've always found the truth
to be overrated, anyway.
