'Celebrity Fit's' K-Fed, Bobby, Nicole Tested on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 2nd 2010 7:25AM
Since Kevin Federline, Bobby Brown and Nicole Eggert are being tested physically on 'Celebrity Fit Club,' Jay Leno decided it was time to test them mentally. He quizzed the contestants on last night's 'Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). So how did they do?Well, Nicole knew a tomato is a fruit (not a vegetable) but didn't know why, and then wondered about the kiwi.... Jay was relieved to hear none of Kevin's four kids is home-schooled. And even entertainment knowledge was a stumper, as Bobby Brown completely flubbed the title of a Brad Pitt movie.

Whitney on Oprah, day two
by Allison Waldman, posted Sep 15th 2009 8:36PM
If you tuned in to watch the first part -- day one -- of Whitney Houston's interview with Oprah Winfrey yesterday, you weren't alone. The overnight ratings were gangbusters for The Oprah Winfrey Show, the best premiere in three years, which is just what Oprah had in mind when her producers booked Whitney on her comeback trail. And Whitney benefited, too. Her new CD debuted at number one on the Billboard chart, a fact confirmed at the end of the second half that was broadcast today. So Whitney won and Oprah won and Clive Davis was happy and smiling, probably because he had orchestrated the whole thing behind the scenes.
Whitney on Oprah: part interview, part intervention
by Allison Waldman, posted Sep 15th 2009 3:12AM
Judging by part one, it was a pretty powerful interview for Oprah. She was on her game. The setting was an empty theater, just Oprah and Whitney. Presumably, this was a no-holds-barred session, so I expected Oprah to ask the tough questions about Whitney's dysfunctional marriage to Bobby Brown, her drug use, the days she spent holed up in a stupor. It wasn't exactly A&E's Intervention, but for Oprah, it was penetrating.
Whitney Houston's cringeworthy GMA appearance
by Allison Waldman, posted Sep 2nd 2009 6:26PM
If you just watched the crowd while Whitney Houston performed in Central Park on Good Morning, America today, you might have thought that Whitney was doing great. However, if you had the volume on, you know better. Sadly, Whitney Houston's GMA appearance was sad. Her voice cracked and she seemed to be struggling to sing one of her biggest hits, "I'm Every Woman," which ironically was used as the theme for The Oprah Winfrey Show for years. I say ironically because Whitney explained to the fans at one point that her voice was a wreck because she had talked too much during her appearance on Oprah earlier in the week. Ouch!
The entire appearance was enough to make you cringe. At one point, Whitney called her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, out to the stage to sing with her. Bobbi has grown into a beautiful young woman from the teenager she was on Being Bobby Brown, the infamous Bravo reality show starring Whitney and then hubby Bobby.
Hell to the yes: Whitney Houston's coming back to TV
by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 23rd 2009 1:00PM
As it often is in show biz lore, Whitney Houston is on the verge of a comeback. On September 1 will be releasing a new CD called I Look To You, and some time in the preceding week, ABC will air a one hour Whitney Houston special. No word yet on whether it's going to be a concert format or an extended set of music videos or a mix of both, but the ultimate goal is clear: present Whitney in the best possible light and show off her big voice, one of pop music's most celebrated. It will hopefully be a positive change of pace for La Houston. The last time Whitney was all over TV was when she "co-starred" on the Bravo reality series Being Bobby Brown. That slice of life, unscripted gem might have been the worst thing Houston ever did in her professional career.
Maureen McCormick reunites with Brown and Wilson for reality show
by Erin Martell, posted Jun 9th 2008 7:05PM
If you're one of the dozens of people who watched Gone Country, CMT has another reality show for you. Maureen McCormick is joining up with former co-stars Bobby Brown and Carnie Wilson for Outsider's Inn. The actress will manage a bed and breakfast in rural Tennessee with Wilson and Brown's help. Brown is the inn's entertainment director, and Wilson is the chef. The eight-episode season of Outsider's Inn will premiere on CMT in August. Viewers can expect to see the unlikely team of entrepreneurs handle day-to-day operations of the inn, interact with guests, and engage in bizarre behavior. I can't imagine the kind of entertainment Bobby Brown will arrange for the B&B.

Whitney and Bobby selected Tackiest Couple
by Joel Keller, posted Dec 20th 2005 4:42PM
There were lots of pretty obnoxious and tacky couples in the
"news" this year. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes. Paris Hilton and whatever Greek guy she's engaged to this week. But, as far as Star magazine is concerned,
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown out-tacky all of them. They selected the stars of Being Bobby Brown as the Tackiest Couple of 2005. As this
article shows, the competition was fierce, although it's quite surprising that Whit and Bobby are tackier than,
say, Flavor Flav and Brigitte Neilsen, but I guess the evidence is all out there on their various reality shows.Makes our girl Jen Aniston look a lot classier right now, doesn't it?
