Jonah Hill Tries to Convince Stewart That Brad Pitt Is a Nice Guy (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 7th 2011 3:30AM
While both men agreed they wished Brad Pitt was a huge jerk, Jonah Hill tried to convince Jon Stewart that it simply wasn't so. How could a man be that handsome and a great guy? Alas, according to Hill on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), that's exactly what he is.He even let Hill stay in his house in New Orleans for months while Hill was filming a movie. Hill did admit to having a lot of fun with the tourists who were stopping to see the famous Brad Pitt house. They'd get all psyched when he pulled up, and then confused and let down to see that it was just him.
When Stewart asked if Angelina Jolie was staying at the house as well -- was Pitt that nice? -- Hill had to admit that there is a limit to what Pitt was willing to give.
Jonah Hill Tells 'Late Show' About Getting Pranked by Brad Pitt (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 3:00AM
Last night Jonah Hill stopped by 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) and talked about his 'Moneyball' co-star, Brad Pitt."He is incredibly skilled at pranking people," Hill said, and he even brought photographic evidence of one of Pitt's more elaborate pranks during filming.
Apparently, Hill was excited that for the first time he got a golf cart that was just for him to get around the set. Knowing how thrilled he was about it, the cart became the focal point of a great prank.
Not only did Pitt decorate the golf cart with a doctored photograph of him and Hill as if they were members of '80s pop duo Wham!, but he rigged the cart so that any time it was turned on, it played their hit 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.'
Johnny Depp Laughs About Filming a Sexy Scene With Angelina Jolie (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 8th 2010 3:11AM
On the new 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), Johnny Depp cracked up while discussing a sexy scene involving himself and Angelina Jolie. Still, for some people -- possibly including Depp's girlfriend -- this might not be a laughing matter. And things are made more complicated by the fact that Depp has worked with Angelina's partner, Brad Pitt.Johnny and Jolie co-star in the upcoming thriller 'The Tourist.' Depp's latest film contains a link to his first major acting job -- his role on the 1980s teen drama '21 Jump Street.' Mr. Brad Pitt was on that show too (here's a fairly hilarious video featuring the two of them). But all of that was a long, long time ago ...
Catherine Zeta-Jones on Looking Good for Leading Men (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 15th 2010 1:30PM
Throughout her career, Catherine Zeta-Jones has worked with her fair share of handsome leading men, including Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Antonio Banderas. The only downside is that it puts pressure on her to look good all the time, even at early-morning makeup sessions before filming, she said on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated)."The worst thing is... when you're really tired ... and you think of the solace of a makeup room," said Zeta-Jones. "Sitting next to Brad Pitt and George Clooney when you look like you-know-what, it's not nice at 6:00 in the morning. I don't think any woman should have to do it."

Brad Pitt Proposes to Joy on 'Til Death' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 14th 2010 11:58PM
A porn mustache on Brad Pitt in real life is just ... ugh (though, let's face it, it's better than that Allen Ginsberg beard he's been sporting). But even worse when he's a cartoon character. That's just what we got on 'Til Death' (Sun., 7PM ET on Fox), when an animated Pitt proposed to an animated Joy. His kids were there, but no sign of Angelina Jolie. Just as well. She probably would have pulled a 'Lara Croft' and kicked Joy's ass. Hmmm ...

Whoopi Goldberg Credits Brad Pitt for Katrina Relief Efforts (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 9th 2010 4:00PM
On 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Whoopi Goldberg credited Brad Pitt for his efforts to bring green, affordable housing to New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward after being ravaged by Hurricane Katrina."It is extraordinary what's going on down there," Goldberg said. "I'm tipping my dreads to Brad Pitt because he put his money where his mouth is. He's always been a guy who did stuff, but he doesn't talk about it."

Rosie O'Donnell on 'Glee,' 'Family,' Team Coco and Love
by Michael Maloney, posted Jan 26th 2010 9:30AM
Rosie O'Donnell may not be voicing her opinions on 'The View' anymore, but she's still letting America know how she feels. The outspoken and philanthropic Daytime Emmy-winner's next project is the HBO special 'A Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration,' set to air Sunday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. The documentary's goal is to heighten America's understanding of nontraditional families.
AOL was on the scene at the recent TV Critics Association's winter press tour when O'Donnell shared her thoughts on her HBO show, the pros and cons of TV versus radio and possibly guest-starring on 'Glee.'

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:
- There's a new website called Glyde that lets you buy and sell DVDs quite easily. Now you can get rid of all of those ill-advised Zac Efron purchases that you're hanging on to.
- Viggo Mortensen is getting ready to star in The Road, the adaptation of the Cormac McCarthey novel. He has some crazy eyes in that movie, which could either be a big plus or a big minus, depending on your stance on the hotness level of dudes with crazy eyes. In any case, Cinematical has an interview with him.
- I actually had no idea that there was going to be a fourth Shrek movie, but apparently it is, and it's titled Shrek Forever After. It's supposed to be the last film in the series... for now, at least.
- I was never going to see Old Dogs, but the fact that I was forced to sit through billions of trailers for it while watching ABC On Demand makes me want to find every print and make a giant bonfire. A brave soul at Cinematical reviews it.
- Fight Club is the film that finally made me love Brad Pitt. Cinematical rewatches it to see how it holds up after ten years.
Six reasons the Oscars will probably stink - VIDEO
by Allison Waldman, posted Jan 23rd 2009 10:03AM
Do you remember what film won the Oscar for Best Picture last year? (No Country for Old Men). What about Best Actor and Actress? (Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard). If you didn't remember, don't feel bad. You're probably like most people. Most of us weren't watching in 2008. Even though they were celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Academy Awards, it was the lowest rated and least watched telecast ever. As I perused the Academy Award nominations yesterday, I couldn't help but think that this year's broadcast is going to have a hard time drawing a huge TV audience. And considering that the only thing you can usually count on with the Oscars is that they'll run over three hours long, the show will probably leave something to be desired, too.
In fact, here's six reasons the Oscars -- which will be broadcast live on February 22 on ABC -- will probably stink.

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their latest musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- So, if in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Brad Pitt starts off as a tiny old-man, why wouldn't he end up as a giant baby? Cinematical has the answer.
- When we were in high school, my friends and I got together with a VHS camcorder and made Scream 4. It was pretty amazing. What's weird is that even though we didn't get a film deal, Scream 4 is heading to theaters. Neve Campbell needs a job, people.
- Granted, I've missed a lot of movies in the theaters this year, but I still think The Dark Knight is one of the best films of the year. What do you think? Check out Cinematical's top 10 list.
- Hey, want to see something really creepy? Jerry O'Connell and his wife, Rebecca Romijn, are putting her maternity leave to good use by making Mystique and Me, a new Funny or Die video. It's quite funny and quite disturbing.
- As much as I enjoyed The Dark Knight, I don't think Maggie Gyllenhaal and Christian Bale had a ton of chemistry -- at least not enough to make it onto the Cinematical Seven's Best On-Screen Chemistry of 2008 list.

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their latest musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- Watch the first ten minutes of Sex Drive: I had initially written this movie off as another low-budget, 10-years-too-late American Pie ripoff, but people have had good things to say about it. Watch the beginning and decide if it's worth shelling out the big bucks for this weekend.
- Cinematical asks the burning question: Can you believe Angelina Jolie in a role, or is she just too damn pretty?
- What about her paramour, Brad Pitt? Will you spend the entire time you watch Inglorious Basterds just staring into his eyes? Check out Cinematical's first look at the awkwardly-spelled Inglourious Basterds.
- Didn't Matt Damon say that the the third Bourne movie would be his last? Because it looks like the guy who wrote The Bourne Ultimatum is writing Bourne 4 as well.
- Watch the Dear Zachary trailer and have a good cry. No, really. I literally cried.
American Idol: Idol Gives Back 2008

(S07E29) Well, this is what you've all been waiting for, right? What's that? Finale? Yeah, I guess that'll be cool, too. But if you've listened to Ryan all season then you know TONIGHT is really what it's all about! If you're looking to find out who got eliminated by vote last night you're going to have to wait until tomorrow. But if you're looking for two-and-a-half hours of entertainment chock full of celebrities and song and charity, then you're looking for "Idol Gives Back." Last year's inaugural edition was very good, and Kristin's report of the Idol Gives Back taping from this past Sunday was also very positive. We don't have any pesky (non) eliminations to deal with like last year, so just kick back, donate and enjoy. And, if you want, join us online and chat about it in real-time with other giving Idol fans.
You can join the chat starting just before 7:30/6:30pm CDT by following this link. Look for the full episode review right here later tonight.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith -- A look at the pilot script
by Brett Love, posted May 8th 2007 3:03PM

ABC had garnered a fair amount of press over this one because of the obvious tie-in to the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie movie. The big news is that the creators of the movie are back for the TV show. Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Swingers) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand) have signed on to try and transform their movie to the small screen.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith pilot finally gets the go ahead
by Brett Love, posted Jan 2nd 2007 12:01PM
Sometimes the wheels of TV production turn mighty slowly. In August of '05 Adam posted about Doug Liman signing a deal with NBC. Then, last January there was talk about his first project being a series adaptation of the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. A year later, and the show is finally getting the go ahead for a pilot, but not at NBC. Somehow the show has now ended up at ABC. Liman, who directed the big screen version, will direct the pilot. It will be written by Simon Kinberg, who wrote the movie. Kinberg says of the series, ""It's essentially Married With Children with guns." Casting is under way with nobody officially attached to replace Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at this time.
I'll be curious to get a look at it, just because it's Doug Liman, but my real hope for the show is that it will somehow lead to a DVD set of the completely unrelated CBS show, also called Mr. & Mrs. Smith. You might remember that from the fall of '96, starring Scott Bakula and Maria Bello.
Brad Pitt charging E! network with trespassing
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 29th 2006 2:30PM
The E! television network is in big trouble with Brad Pitt. He is seeking trespassing charges against an E! producer and cameraman who allegedly strolled right onto his Hollywood Hills property last week. A rep for Pitt says he is exploring other legal options against the television network. Here's the weird thing: apparently TMZ.com originally reported on the producer and cameraman entering Pitt's property. So now the gossipers are blowing the whistle on each other? Maybe the entire business will self-destruct (yeah, right).E! says it's investigating the claim and has since fired the two employees in question. It's surprising news about E!, really, since it seems to kiss celebrities' asses, while TMZ likes to stalk them.
