Carrie Ann Inaba Says Yes to Boyfriend's Marriage Proposal Live on 'Regis' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 31st 2011 12:15PM
'Dancing With the Stars' judge Carrie Ann Inaba got a surprise proposal from her boyfriend Jesse Sloan on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) this morning -- and she said yes. Earlier in the show, Regis Philbin had set things up by talking about marriage with Inaba, who noted she had been waiting for Sloan to propose.Later in the show, Philbin read what was supposed to be a reader's question about finding the right time to propose as the lights dimmed and romantic music began to play. "And after that, pal," Philbin said, theoretically still addressing the viewer, "all you need is the ring." That's when Sloan entered, seeming to catch Inaba off guard.
"I struggle to find the words to express what you mean to me," said Sloan on bended knee. "You're an inspiration, you're beautiful, you're wonderful, you're everything to me. Will you marry me?"

Shannen Doherty Talks 'Dancing' Elimination Conspiracy Theories (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 1st 2010 1:05PM
Shannen Doherty, the first celebrity given the boot on 'Dancing With the Stars,' came face-to-face with 'Dancing's' Carrie Ann Inaba on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated)."I have to tell you, after all the seasons we've done, you're elimination was the most surprising," Inaba told Doherty and her 'Dancing' partner Mark Ballas. Inaba was so shocked, she said she text messaged somebody asking, "How did that happen?" while she was on set. Regis Philbin, always quick with a comment, informed Inaba that it happened because "the judges didn't help them!"
Philbin tried to get the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' bad girl to gossip, but she wasn't falling for it. Bravo, Shannen.

Carrie Ann Inaba Reveals Connection to Janet Jackson (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 1st 2010 12:45PM
Janet Jackson once drove Carrie Ann Inaba to binge eat on nachos. The 'Dancing With the Stars' judge filled in for Kelly Ripa on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) and took a trip down memory lane with Jackson.Jackson knew the situation well. It was the late 1990s and she was going on tour, taking four female dancers along, but a young Inaba was not one of them. Jackson had cut her after the audition.
"You cut me and I was devastated," Inaba told Jackson.
But, before you start sending the angry letters to Jackson take note, Inaba later went on tour with Madonna.

Carrie Ann Inaba and J-Lo Didn't 'Fly' Together on 'In Living Color' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Mar 15th 2010 8:05PM
Dancer and 'Dancing With the Stars' judge Carrie Ann Inaba was on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), discussing her early career as an 'In Living Color' 'Fly Girl dancer in the early 1990s. Jennifer Lopez was also a Fly Girl, and Inaba told Williams that people would confuse the two, even though "she's Latin and I'm Asian." "Were you guys friends?" Williams asked. "Well, we worked together ... not always ... when you have a room full of five girls with strong personalities you don't always get along." OK, Carrie Ann, we'll take that as a no.

Carrie Ann Inaba on Home Renovations, Cats and Boyfriends (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 1st 2010 3:00PM
'Dancing With the Stars' judge Carrie Ann Inaba appeared on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) and dished on her hectic life, which currently includes home renovations, a menagerie of five cats, and a boyfriend.A recent stay in a spacious rental home inspired Inaba to impulsively tear down walls in her house, which distressed her sizable number of pets. Inaba said she already had three cats of her own before she started dating her boyfriend, who came equipped with two more felines. Needless to say, the sheer number of animals in the Inaba household raised a collective eyebrow from Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.

Recap: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 10
by Michael Pascua, posted Nov 24th 2009 1:52AM
(S09E20) It's the finals of Dancing with the Stars and the trophy was placed in front of the judge's table. Tom announces that three couples have three new dances; technically Mya was part of Team Paso Doble in week seven. The second round was the megamix, and I would rather have them return to the group dance-off format. The three couples dancing at the same time was too much to handle. I missed individuality.
I was very disappointed with the Freestyle round. There's free reign and it didn't seem like anyone even took it. I was expecting Kelly to rock out and Mya to pull off a tasteful hip-hop piece. Alas, I got neither.
Dancing with the Stars: Performance 1 Results

(S09E03) Two nights, two eliminations, and a lot of unnecessary crap until the eliminations. Thus is the Dancing with the Stars elimination process. And we're live. Unfortunately, no outbursts from Macy Gray tonight.
Encore performance – Kelly & Louis – Viennese Waltz – One thing that I loved about the performance was the way that they incorporated the dress into the performance. It still brings Sharon chills.
After a quick recap of the women's performance last night. The eliminations begin with the men first. The first two couples safe are Louie & Chelsie and Aaron & Karina.
Carrie Ann Inaba and Chris Harrison on the Hosting the Emmys Red Carpet, 'Dancing With the Stars' and 'The Bachelor'
by AOL TV Staff, posted Sep 18th 2009 5:19PM
Memorizing the bios of 16 celebrities and dancers for 'Dancing With the Stars' and roughly 30 contenders for 'The Bachelor' is a breeze compared to the homework that judge Carrie Ann Inaba and host Chris Harrison are doing this week. The ABC reality folks are researching dozens of nominees and multiple categories in order to handle hosting duties for the TV Guide Network's Red Carpet coverage of the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards set to air Sunday, Sept. 20 (6pm EST - 8pm EST). AOL TV caught up with the duo at a press reception at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel to get the scoop on their Emmy strategy and what's coming up this season on 'Dancing' and 'The Bachelor.'
So You Think You Can Dance: Top 14 Perform
by Michael Pascua, posted Jul 2nd 2009 12:43AM
(S05E11) You know that there is going to be a lot of unnecessary fluff when there are seven couples and two hours to fill. The show decided to give us highs and lows of the dancers. Damn time wasters. Did anyone notice the credits took twice the amount than they normally do? Our guest judge was Mia Michaels who admitted that her harsh opinion of Brandon has changed. Cat in her hot fuchsia dress mentioned a "big announcement" near the end of the show, as if she didn't want us to switch over to America's Got Talent. Unfortunately, it wasn't Michael Jackson related.
Dancing with the Stars: Expendable judges?
by Michael Pascua, posted Apr 30th 2009 10:55AM
This week on Dancing with the Stars, Len ruffled some feathers by announcing that Ty should go home and that potential professional dancer Mayo was too tall. Both proved him wrong. This caused an uproar from several viewers that Len is too old, stuffy, biased, or mean. This led me to wonder if the judges are expendable. The show shouldn't go the way of American Idol and add a judge, because the time allotment would go bonkers and the scores would confuse viewers (getting a 30 is a lot easier than getting a 40). Let's take a look at the positives and negatives of our three judges.
Dancing with the Stars: Week 5
by Michael Pascua, posted Apr 7th 2009 1:16AM
(S08E08) With the passion of the Paso Doble and the grace of the Viennese Waltz, most of the contestants have proven that they deserve to be here. Even Steve-O has improved leaps and bounds since week one. Carrie Ann was on the attack the whole night. She had to be angry at her hairdresser and took it out on the contestants. This week was one of those weeks where the lift continues to be debated. She accepts Shawn for being artistic, but penalizes Melissa for a flub. More analysis after the jump.
Dancing with the Stars: Week 3
by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 24th 2009 1:07AM
(S08E04) Dancing with the Stars heated up tonight. This is the first night where we got to see the opening, and I'm saddened that the disco ball openings are no more. The kaleidoscope is still there, but now the show attempts to take advantage of the widescreen. Although Tom mentioned that everyone had the same amount of time to practice, you have to think that the four weeks before the show started is an advantage for endurance and teamwork. There was a three-way tie for first place tonight. If this week is the precursor of who the final three will be, Gilles, Shawn, and Melissa seem to have it in their hands. I can definitely see Lil Kim fight her way in there; her strength is definitely the Latin section. More information and analysis after the jump.
Dancing With The Stars: Week 10 The Finale
by Brett Love, posted Nov 26th 2008 12:15AM

(S07E21) In the grand tradition of Dancing With The Stars, everyone came together for the glorious task of turning 3 minutes of results into a two hour ratings bonanza. If you have seen the finale before, you know how it all went down. Take a couple of musical numbers, interviews or dances with all the eliminated contestants, and add in a whole lot of replays as the show looks back at all that has gone on. It's not the greatest recipe for a two hour show, but after 20 episodes of top ten numbers, I suppose they've earned it. I'll not spoil the big surprise before the jump, so hit the link for a brief look at all that went on, and to find out who took home the mirrorball.
