NBC is pulling out all the stops to make sure we're ready for the series premiere of 'The Voice' on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 9 PM ET. They've blanketed the airwaves with ads, and then they decided to take it a step further with a full-blown preview of 'The Voice' (Thu., 11:35PM on NBC) premiere last night. With 'American Idol' getting a lot of criticism of late for some of its recent results, and people saying it's more of a popularity contest than a true singing competition, there couldn't be a better time to launch an alternative take on the genre.
And to prove they've got the right superstars leading the charge as Coaches on 'The Voice,' the preview kicked off with the four of them proving their own mettle. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera performed a fantastic version of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy.'

A former security guard at the 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) studio used to tell the host that he was Cee-Lo Green's brother. She believed him.Handler then showed a picture of the supposed sibling about to give her a spanking, joking that, "I like to let black men slap me on the ass when they come on the show." She thought allowing him to do that "would maybe help me get you on the show."
"Never settle for second best," joked the 'F**k You' singer. Turns out, Green doesn't even have a brother.

Cee-Lo Green was forced to revise his popular 'F**k You' single when he appeared on 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on COM). "As this is a family show, we can't be dropping the F-bomb here," explained Stephen Colbert (who then used the word seconds later). He suggested "something positive" to replace the phrase. How about "Fox News"?Green humored Colbert with his revamped edition, singing, "Saw you driving 'round town with the girl I love on Fox News / Didn't see one politician that wasn't corrupt on the Fox News, and I got the blues..."
