Fat Chefs and Foodies to Get Their Own Weight Loss TV Show
You know the old adage: Never trust a thin chef ... Well, if a new TV series has its way, there are going to be a few more untrustworthy chefs running around. The brains behind 'Kitchen Nightmares' and 'Celebrity Fit Club' have finally decided to blend the two biggest movements in reality TV right now -- cooking and weight loss -- and are putting together a new show that aims to help overweight food industry workers lose weight and get fit.
Lest the concept conjures up images of obese guys in toques being abused by Gordon Ramsay as they run on a treadmill while cooking Michelin Star-worthy food, the casting call aims to appeal to just about everyone involved in the food industry.
"If you are 75+ pounds overweight or potentially unhealthy & have a job in the food industry, this is your chance to turn your life around!"
Kevin Federline Apologizes to Shar Jackson on 'Celebrity Fit Club' (VIDEO)
Kevin Federline has had a tangled romantic past, to say the least. And on the newest episode of 'Celebrity Fit Club' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1), the ex-husband of Britney Spears confronts part of that past. Federline's former fiancee (and mother of two of his kids), Shar Jackson, is also a contestant on the show. And so K-Fed took time out from trying to lose weight in order to apologize to Jackson, whom he left for Ms. Spears.Watch the video after the jump.
'Celebrity Fit's' K-Fed, Bobby, Nicole Tested on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
Since Kevin Federline, Bobby Brown and Nicole Eggert are being tested physically on 'Celebrity Fit Club,' Jay Leno decided it was time to test them mentally. He quizzed the contestants on last night's 'Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). So how did they do?Well, Nicole knew a tomato is a fruit (not a vegetable) but didn't know why, and then wondered about the kiwi.... Jay was relieved to hear none of Kevin's four kids is home-schooled. And even entertainment knowledge was a stumper, as Bobby Brown completely flubbed the title of a Brad Pitt movie.

Tanisha Takes an Ambulance Ride on 'Celebrity Fit Club' (VIDEO)
Tanisha Thomas, former star of 'The Bad Girls' Club,' may not be the most natural contestant for 'Celebrity Fit Club' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1). For instance, she's already a "Bad Girl." It says so right in her biography! Still, we can't really blame Thomas for what happened on the latest episode of 'Fit Club.' While running down a hill, Thomas took a tumble and twisted her knee pretty badly; so badly that an ambulance had to come take her away.

K-Fed on Loving and Losing Britney Spears (VIDEO)

Boxing Match Turns Sexy on 'Celebrity Fit Club' (VIDEO)
Things got super awkward on 'Celebrity Fit Club' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1) when a boxing match between two guys got sexy. Seriously, those words should never all be in the same sentence together, but Jay McCarroll is really glad they are."My favorite part of the whole experience was at the end," said McCarroll. "He punched my ass, and it felt great."
And thus, the new sport of Hot Boxing is born.

J.J. Abrams Lands Fox Medical Comedy & More TV News
J.J. Abrams books a medical comedy series for Fox, Clifton Collins joins 'Southland,' Bill Condon reteams with Laura Linney on Showtime's 'The C-Word' and more of today's top TV headlines. An open letter to Kevin Federline
Dear Kevin,I've recently read on VH1's blog that you were going to be on Celebrity Fit Club. I have a problem with this: you are not a celebrity. Sure VH1 may stretch the definition of "Celebrity," but having a resume that includes backup dancer and being on WWE doesn't suffice. I don't care if you were married to Britney Spears; you're not married to your meal ticket anymore.
I've recently Googled pictures of you and boy did you let yourself go. Maybe you should stop drinking beer. You shouldn't be on Celebrity Fit Club, you need to be on The Biggest Loser. Not only does the title fit you better, you need a smack down from Jillian Michaels.
Seven people we'd like to see on Dancing With The Stars - VIDEO
Well, it's official. Yesterday, ABC announced their new line-up for the eighth season (!) of Dancing With The Stars. And, as usual, the names chosen range from weird to ... even weirder (really, David Alan Grier?). Not that we necessarily disagree with the producers' choices, but we'd like to take a moment to suggest seven potential choices of people we believe to be fully primed for a spot on the dance floor.Listen up, DWTS producers. Season nine is just around the corner, and Alan Alda is probably waiting by the phone. (...In our wildest dreams, that is.)
A history of reality television (part seven): Celebreality - VIDEOS
Americans are utterly obsessed with celebrities ... particularly their lives away from the limelight. Numerous television "news" programs and magazines highlight stars doing normal things that many of us would do on a daily basis. So, it was only logical that reality series have been built around some of these personalities to highlight their time away from the camera.
Yet it didn't work out as was intended. Rather than showing that these personalities were normal people, they showed the viewers how messed up they, and their families, really were. In some of the earlier Celebreality programs, they even showed unknown weaknesses that fans never knew existed. Despite all of this, viewers have been tuning into these shows each and every week to watch ... just like they would if video of different train wrecks were aired each week.
This fan base has given many of these stars a second, third, or fourth chance at success -- even if their boat sailed a long time ago. Such is the case during the Reality Revolution, where even the most famous can receive fifteen more minutes of fame.
