Glenn Beck Feuds With James Cameron (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 25th 2010 3:37PM
Glenn Beck Feuds with James Cameron'Avatar' director James Cameron is currently in a war of words with Glenn Beck, the controversial Fox News pundit. The feud gets a little complicated, but we'll break it down for you.

Three years ago, Beck called Cameron "the Antichrist" for making 'Titanic.' (Apparently, Beck is not a big fan of the film, or of the Celine Dion song that accompanied it.) Cameron recently heard about the remark and replied by calling Beck -- and we quote -- "A f--king a--hole."

Now, on 'The Glenn Beck Program' (weekdays, 5PM ET on FNC), Beck strikes back. While wearing 3D glasses, he mocked Cameron and 'Avatar,' saying that Cameron made a billion dollars off of a "Smurf-murdering movie,' and adding: "It's time to step away from the CGI, just for a minute, Jim."

Considering that Glenn Beck is involved, we're guessing that this feud is only just starting to heat up. Watch the entire clip to get the full story!

Celine Dion Talks Pregnancy, Miscarriage on 'Larry King Live' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 16th 2010 3:55AM
Larry King Live, Celine DionCeline Dion was on 'Larry King Live' (weeknights, 6PM ET on CNN), and opened up about her desire to have another child. It's been a struggle, and she's suffered through four attempts, including a miscarriage, but she and her husband persevere.

On adopting, she says, "Until the doctor says that's it, you cannot try anymore, then I will turn the page, and then I'll see my options." No doubt, she's helping others going through the same thing.

Stars Gather to Record 'We Are the World' Remake (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 10th 2010 11:25PM
Entertainment Tonight, Barbra Streisand, We Are the WorldDozens of stars gathered to out-sing and out-diva each other for 'We Are the World - 25 for Haiti,' a remake of the song that brought in $63 million for the Ethiopian famine 25 years ago. New footage of the recording was shown on 'Entertainment Tonight' (weekdays, 7PM ET on CBS).

Sure, it's a great cause, and we're sure director Paul Haggis will do it justice. Still, we have a feeling that Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and all the rest will show up on an episode of 'The Simpsons' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX) real soon.

Celine Dion Talks About Her Miscarriage on 'Oprah' (VIDEO)

by Harley W. Lond, posted Feb 10th 2010 6:12PM
Celine Dion finally talked about her recent miscarriage on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Dion announced that she was pregnant last August but soon had a miscarriage.

"We were saddened to hear that you had a miscarriage," Winfrey said. "It's life. You know? A lot of people go through this," Dion responded. She told Winfrey that she didn't want to come out right away with the news of the miscarriage because it came so soon after the initial reports of her pregnancy. "They said that I was pregnant, and a couple of days after, we were not pregnant again. We didn't want to feel like we were playing yo-yo. 'I'm pregnant. I'm not pregnant. I'm pregnant. I'm not pregnant.'"

"We tried four times to have a child," said Dion, who has a 9-year-old son with her manager-husband of 15 years. "We're still trying. We're on the fifth try. And I tell you, if five is my lucky number, this fifth try has got to come in."

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 9th 2008 7:45PM
Miley Cyrus(S07E29) Well, this is what you've all been waiting for, right? What's that? Finale? Yeah, I guess that'll be cool, too. But if you've listened to Ryan all season then you know TONIGHT is really what it's all about! If you're looking to find out who got eliminated by vote last night you're going to have to wait until tomorrow. But if you're looking for two-and-a-half hours of entertainment chock full of celebrities and song and charity, then you're looking for "Idol Gives Back."

Last year's inaugural edition was very good, and Kristin's report of the Idol Gives Back taping from this past Sunday was also very positive. We don't have any pesky (non) eliminations to deal with like last year, so just kick back, donate and enjoy. And, if you want, join us online and chat about it in real-time with other giving Idol fans.

You can join the chat starting just before 7:30/6:30pm CDT by following this link. Look for the full episode review right here later tonight.

Martina McBride mentors Top 7 Idol contestants during country week

by Liz Finn-Arnold, posted Apr 16th 2007 6:04PM
Martina McBrideThis week, Martina McBride will be coaching the remaining seven Idol finalists with their country music selections. McBride, considered the "Celine Dion of country music," will also perform her Top-5 single "Anyway" during Wednesday's live results show (April 18) on FOX.

Oh boy, this is going to be a rough week for me. I'm not much of a country music fan, so the songs aren't going to be familiar (unless they all perform Shania Twain or Faith Hill). The contestants already butchered Latin-themed music last week, under the guidance of Jennifer Lopez. But, I have a feeling that this week could be worse.

NBC wants a piece of American Idol

by Anna Johns, posted Feb 11th 2006 1:19PM
celine dion nbcNow that we're five seasons into American Idol, NBC has realized that it's a ratings powerhouse. And it wants in on some of that action. So, NBC is bringing another European singing contest across the pond (American Idol was based on the British Pop Idol). This time, it's the Eurovision Song Contest, which launched the careers of Celine Dion and ABBA. Yeah, it's been around for a bit. 50 years, to be exact.

NBC will begin its search for talent online to find singers from each state. I'm not sure if it's the same thing as this online talent competition that NBC has planned for this summer because NBC does plan to air most of the Eurovision Song Contest on its network. Just like on Idol, voting is up to the viewers. Let's just hope they don't make Celine a host.
