Evelyn Lozada Explains Her Jump from Basketball to Football Fiancee (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 15th 2011 5:45PM
Evelyn Lozada of 'Basketball Wives' on 'Good Day New York'Evelyn Lozada was once a basketball fiancée, engaged to former Boston Celtic Antoine Walker. And while she's still on the VH1 reality show 'Basketball Wives,' now she's a football fiancée. On 'Good Morning New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox), Lozada talked about the experience of being a two-sport fiancee, and explained how she met her current man, New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, on Twitter.

Clearly, she has a thing for athletes, but Lozada is quick to point out she's no groupie. "Listen, this is what I attract," she said, recalling meeting Walker at a party in New York. "I'm not one of those girls, I'm not sitting outside of your hotel or scouting where they're hanging out. It just happens. I was following Chad on Twitter, and we ended up meeting that way."

Evelyn and Chad Ochocinco Talk About Their Relationship on 'Basketball Wives' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 2nd 2011 2:31AM
'Basketball Wives'Chad Ochocinco took center stage, sort of, on 'Basketball Wives' (Mon., 8PM ET on VH1), showing himself to genuinely be into fiancée Evelyn. He's also pretty clearly into himself and enjoying his negative public image, but she's a part of it.

Their beach picnic was actually quite sweet. Chad was sweet as well, but Evelyn seemed a little reserved and concerned when talking about their high-profile relationship. Yes, there's a certain irony to her saying this while starring in a reality show because of that relationship, but there it is. It can still get uncomfortable inside a self-created bubble.

Chad's comments about his desires to be the most hated athlete of all time are certainly interesting. We could see it as him trying to embrace the cards he's been dealt and have some fun with it as best he can rather than struggle, but it comes across a little off-putting.

FX's 'Always Sunny,' 'Archer' and 'The League' Bring the Funny... Just Not to the Press Tour - TCA Reports

by Joel Keller, posted Aug 3rd 2010 11:34PM
Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito at the TCA 2010 panel for 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'
When I noticed the schedule for FX's TCA panels today, I was happy to see that the cable net bunched all the comedies in the afternoon, when the critics were supposedly punchy and might have wanted a good laugh.

But something odd happened: All three of the comedy panels -- for 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' 'The League' and 'Archer ' -- weren't all that funny. And they weren't even trying, for the most part.

Who knew comedy was such a serious business?

The 'Always Sunny' crew was supposed to do a table read, but with Charlie Day off doing a movie and unable to attend, that got scuttled. So it was 45 minutes of Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson talking in relatively serious tones about how the show has grown and the issues they wanted to tackle. Even the normally wacky Danny DeVito became unusually reserved after the first few minutes. Maybe the FX folks saw Cloris Leachman's funny but scattered performance during yesterday's panel for the FOX show 'Raising Hope' and didn't want that to happen two days in a row.

On 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Wendy Williams criticizes Chad Ochocinco for not having enough black women on his reality dating show 'Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch,' saying that she was "insulted and offended" by the show's predominately white and Hispanic pool of contestants.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #8: Results' Recap

by Michael Pascua, posted May 19th 2010 1:00AM
Melissa Rycroft and Joey Fatone's Tango(S10E17) There have been 99 eliminations on 'Dancing with the Stars' and tonight's elimination brings the 100th. Somehow the mixed amount of contestants in all the seasons left the most poignant elimination in the 10th season. Len's recap reminds us that we have the best semi-final ever. Quickly afterward, Evan & Anna are the first couple in the finals.

Purdue beat UC San Diego last week, even with lower scores. Our last two formation teams Rutgers and Utah Valley faced off to see who will take on Purdue.

Encore - Evan & Anna's Paso Doble - One of the best pluses of the performance was the fact that Evan benefited from a Paso cape solo. He had the best solo section because of the passion he had in the dance. He gets a standing ovation again.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #6: Results' Recap

by Michael Pascua, posted May 5th 2010 2:00AM
Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel dance to Train's 'Drops of Jupiter' on the 'DWTS' week 6 results show(S10E13) Last night's 'Dancing with the Stars' provided several of the celebrities' personal best scores including the first 30 of the season. The group dances forced the scores closer to each other.

The results begin and I'm taken aback to Brooke Burke looking like a poor man's Carmen Electra tonight. We start off immediately with Nicole & Derek and Erin & Maks. While Nicole & Derek are safe, Erin & Maks are in the dreaded bottom two.

Len's recap basically hyped how much he thought the episode went. It was because after Jake's elimination the dead weight is gone. It turns out that Nicole's dress was stuck when she did her low spin and landed on her bum thus causing the giggle moment I complained about last night.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #6' Recap

Derek Hough spins Nicole Scherzinger(S10E12) It's the dreaded team challenge on 'Dancing with the Stars' and for once, both teams are dancing the same style: the cha-cha. I never understood why the team dances were totally different styles anyway. The images of Susan Lucci trying her best to cha-cha back in Season 7 flashed as Pamela started to struggle to remember her choreography, but both teams coped well with the producers whims.

Tonight judge Carrie Ann Inaba considered Nicole to be the best celebrity dancer she's ever seen. Clearly she's been drinking the tainted water. I haven't seen a female contestant get close to the great dancing skills of Kristi Yamaguchi. Nicole continues to still be hard in dances that need a gentle nature though she made strides this week with her waltz.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #5: Results' Recap

Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower
(S10E11) We're at the halfway point on 'Dancing with the Stars' and I still can't tell much of a difference between Brooke's execution with Samantha Harris'. Her clothing choices are still questionable and only once in this episode did she have any genuine emotion. The show quickly announced that Erin & Maks are safe. Later on in the episode, when several safe couples got interviewed by Brooke, I realized that Erin should take Brooke's job; her sarcasm and quick wit could match Tom's.

Encore - Chad & Cheryl's Argentine Tango - I'm still convinced that Chad stands too long for several bars in the dance while Cheryl does more of the work, but that is the standard in couple dancing. The dance is smoldering and with Chad not flirting with Cheryl as much, it wasn't bad.

(S10E10) With Kate Gosselin gone from 'Dancing with the Stars,' the show can finally get to actual competition. Her disappearance from the bottom of the score board has now vanquished scores below 20. The contestants have two dances: either the Samba or Argentine Tango and the Swing Dance Marathon.

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #3' Recap

Jake trips on Dancing with the Stars(S10E06) The format of 'Dancing with the Stars' continues to borrow from other reality shows by creating different themes each week. This week the contestants will be scored by both technique and performance. The scores are still out of a 30. For the rumba and the tango, the judges will be looking for three specific dance moves.

As the couples walk down the stairs, Maks tries to signal someone by tugging his ear and almost trips down the stairs. Kate continues to tell her children that she loves them via bad hand signs.

I had a problem with Brooke tonight. Not only did the crossing ribbons on her midsection make her look fat, was she pronouncing celebrity names incorrectly? Luckily, the filler this week were very interesting demos from professionals that didn't make the cut this season.
