'The Good Wife' Season 2 Preview: Will Alicia and Peter Work Things Out?
by Kelly Woo, posted Sep 27th 2010 5:30PM

Look for 'The Good Wife' to get a little naughty in season 2.
When the CBS hit returns Tue., Sept. 28 at 10PM ET, it will have a tremendous first season to live up to. Last year, 'The Good Wife' racked up both viewers (an average of 13.1 million per episode) and awards (including an Emmy nomination for Best Drama).
And the show aims to keep the momentum going by raising the stakes even more.
Good News on 'The Good Wife' (VIDEO)

Peter's lawyers have been working diligently all season to get his charges dropped. On 'The Good Wife' (Tue., 10PM ET on CBS), newbie lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni isn't as flaky as she seems, and Eli Gold has a card up his sleeve as well. [Spoiler alert.]
"For Mr. Kozko to be murdered, one key thing is required that we overlooked," says Tascioni to the courtroom judge. That key thing involves an ATM machine and the Cayman Islands...?
Peter Breaks Parole to Talk to Alicia on 'The Good Wife' (VIDEO)

On 'The Good Wife' (Tue., 10PM ET on CBS), Peter thought embracing religion would help his defense in court, but it led to something else entirely when Alicia spied him seemingly up to no good during the church service. Watch the video after the jump.
Peter Finds Condoms in Alicia's Drawer on 'The Good Wife' (VIDEO)

Uh oh. It's always a bad sign when you come home from prison and find condoms in your wife's bedside drawer. Why? Because she has an IUD. Oh, she had it removed? Then who are the condoms for?! Who?!!!You can just tell that the scene where Peter finds the condoms in Alicia's drawer on 'The Good Wife' (Tue., 10PM ET on CBS) is going to escalate into a knock-down drag-out fight. Of course, it would help if Peter was trustworthy in the marriage department. Time will tell on that score.

Awww ... Peter returned home to Alicia and the kids on 'The Good Wife' (10PM ET on CBS). It was a nice homecoming, though a little awkward with the law enforcement guy and silver briefcase in tow. You've gotta think there are lots of emotions stirring in Peter and Alicia's simple "Hi" and hug. And lots of adjustments going forward, too.

Alan Cumming to appear on The Good Wife
by Allison Waldman, posted Jan 26th 2010 10:00AM
When last seen on TV -- by me -- the super-talented Alan Cumming was singing "That's Life" on the M&M float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Well, in his next TV gig, there's no music on the agenda. Alan Cumming will be guesting on The Good Wife, playing a character by the name of Eli Gold.
Robert Keck interviewed Graham Phillips, who plays Zach Florrick on the show, the teenage son of Chris Noth and Julianna Margulies' characters. Graham revealed that Gold is brought in to rehabilitate his dad's reputation.

Golden Globes: Best TV Actor Odds
by Gary Susman, posted Dec 12th 2009 3:00PM
Usually, the Golden Globes are a little more cutting-edge than the Emmys, a little quicker to recognize new talent on TV. When this year's nominations are announced on Dec. 15, however, you can expect a battle of Globe warhorses, as veterans will largely elbow newcomers out of the way in the struggle for each of the five slots in the Best Actor categories, drama and comedy.BEST DRAMA ACTORS

So who is Van Buren's mystery guy on Law & Order?
by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 26th 2009 2:59PM
Kona told you recently that Benjamin Bratt is coming back to Law & Order for a short time. S. Epatha Merkerson's Van Buren character has been diagnosed with cancer, which always gives shows a chance to bring back old characters. But it also gives a show a chance to bring on new characters, and that's what's going to happen starting this Friday.Ernie Hudson is joining the show for several episodes. He'll play a guy that's "the love of her life."
Benjamin Bratt back on the beat at Law & Order
by Kona Gallagher, posted Oct 25th 2009 11:06AM

I started watching Law & Order during the Briscoe and Green days, so I don't know a whole lot about Detective Rey Curtis, Briscoe's former partner from '94-'99. What I do know is that Benjamin Bratt is pulling a Chris Noth and returning to the show that gave him his big break.
Bratt, whose A&E series, The Cleaner, was just canceled, is reprising his role as Detective Rey Curtis on the original Law & Order. However, it doesn't look like the current crime-fighting duo of Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) have anything to worry about: Bratt is only signed up for one episode.
Sex and the City 2: movie spoilers
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Oct 12th 2009 9:02AM
Almost a year ago, it was announced that there would be a movie sequel for the hit TV series Sex and the City. It took years for producers and actresses to agree to a first movie, but a few months to decide a sequel was needed. Then again, with the popularity of the Sex and the City movie, it was inevitable that a sequel would follow.Production is underway for the movie, set to be released at the end of May 2010, which means spoilers are leaking on the web! As expected, all four main ladies are back. But what is in store for them? Who, besides the ladies, will star in the movie?

The Good Wife: Pilot (series premiere)

You might think that you're watching a variation on Law & Order when the first few minutes of The Good Wife commences. It's not just that Chris Noth is in the scene, looking every bit like Mike Logan. It's more that the scene is ripped from the headlines. Disgraced politician -- Elliot Spitzer, David Vitter, Jim McGreevey -- caught in a sex scandal. His innocent, good wife, standing beside him.As Alicia Florrick, the wife of a Chicago prosecutor who was caught sucking the toes of prostitutes and forced to resign, Julianna Margulies masters the shell-shocked, distant gaze. Her eyes, in fact, fixate on a stray thread on his suit. But the fog lifts quickly and away from the podium, reality comes in the form of a smack in the face. She delivers the smack, and from that moment, you're on her side. Maybe it was a cheap trick, but it worked.
Greatest TV Bad Boys

Oh, bad boys, what would we do without you? While in real life you're more trouble than you're worth, on screen your sulky swaggering, tough talk and icy eyes almost always belie a tender heart beneath the bravado. And that's where you're best enjoyed -- from a safe distance. Here's a look at the TV desperados who made our hearts melt, in our countdown of TV's Top 20 Bad Boys. -- By Liane Bonin
TV Squad previews CBS's new shows
by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 2nd 2009 2:00PM
Generally speaking, CBS had a strong 2008, developing one bona fide hit drama -- The Mentalist -- even though shows like The Ex-List never found an audience or a critical plaudit. Ironically, I liked The Ex-List based on the screener I reviewed last summer, so go figure. Sometimes a preview can inform you about a show's potential and sometimes it's just the best it'll ever be. CBS has shared previews for the new season and we've had a chance to take a look. There are star vehicles for Jenna Elfman, Alex O'Loughlin and Julianna Margulies, which would seem logical based on the success of Simon Baker as The Mentalist. CBS is counting on familiar, popular TV stars to win over audiences. Will the strategy work? It's probably too soon to tell.
