A School Teacher Plays 'You Deserve It' For a Widowed Friend (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 22nd 2011 4:15AM
ABC is back in the game show business, but their latest entry has a philanthropic twist. In 'You Deserve It' (Mon., 9PM ET on ABC), contestants participate in the quiz show with all of their winnings going toward someone else. Someone in their life who they think deserves it.It creates a whole different kind of anticipation and tension, especially because they're not letting the recipient of the winnings know how things are going until it's all over. But for the player, they get that sense of doing something wonderful for someone they care about.
Who Took Home the Money on the 'Bachelor Pad' Season Finale?
by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 13th 2011 7:00AM
So, it was the season finale at last on 'Bachelor Pad' last night. Time to pack away the thong bikinis and swim trunks as one lucky couple was awarded the $250,000 grand prize. For the others, it was rejection time. (Again.)And the winners are: Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano. Yes, the on-again off-again couple walked away with the win despite the fact that Holly has already gotten engaged to housemate Blake Julian after a whirlwind romance.
That's right, she's engaged to Blake, and if you didn't already know that before the finale then you weren't alone. Michael didn't know either.
'Bachelor Pad': Top 5 Awkward Moments in the Season Finale
by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 13th 2011 5:00AM
Another tear-stained season of 'Bachelor Pad' has come to a close, filled with more fights, more feuds, and more than a few revelations (even though many of them were ruined by the media long before the episode actually aired).Jake and Vienna, Vienna and Kasey, Melissa and Blake, Blake and Holly, Holly and Michael, Erica and gavel -- it's hard to keep track, but by gum, I tried!
Summer is most certainly over and we have blah-blah-Ben to "look forward to" as our next 'Bachelor,' so let's savor the trashy triumph of 'BP' while we still can and look back at the top five most awkward moments from the 'Bachelor Pad' season finale.
Emily Maynard is Not the Next 'Bachelorette' (Yet)
by Catherine Lawson, posted Jul 13th 2011 7:25AM
It seems as though the rumors of Emily Maynard's continuing reality TV stardom may have been premature. 'The Bachelor(ette)' host Chris Harrison has shot down reports that the newly single Maynard is in the running to be the next 'Bachelorette.'Harrison told 'Access Hollywood' that "Rumors of Emily being the 'Bachelorette' are greatly exaggerated. It is way too early, way too presumptuous of anybody to say she's 'The Bachelorette'."
He added that, "As far as TV goes, we don't go into production on 'The Bachelorette' for six more months. We would never pigeonhole ourselves ... this early."
Emily Maynard Confirms Brad Womack Split, But She's Still in Love With Him (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 12th 2011 1:03AM
Emily Maynard came back to the mansion where she met Brad Womack on 'The Bachelor' to talk about and confirm their break-up. The interview aired as part of 'The Bachelorette' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) and saw Maynard adamant in her support of Womack."I'll always be in love with Brad," she told Chris Harrison. "No one will ever hear me say a bad word about him, nor will I tolerate anybody else saying anything bad about him."
So be careful what you say in the comments, as Maynard may be reading and she will not tolerate any Brad-bashing!
How Much 'Bachelor' Is Too Much 'Bachelor'?
by Kim Potts, posted Mar 8th 2010 4:00PM
The recent season finale of 'The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love' drew 15 million viewers, and helped make the season the show's most watched since 2003. Obviously, despite the fact that many fans are still scratching their heads over 'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka's choice of Vienna Girardi to receive his final rose (not to mention an engagement ring), and that the show has so far resulted in just one marriage, 'The Bachelor' is getting much love these days. But with spin-offs, televised weddings, 'Bachelor' stars on other reality series and now, even a 'Bachelor' video game on the way, are we in the midst of 'Bachelor' overkill?

Because of what happened, we feel it's now impossible to ... form a meaningful relationship with Jake [Pavelka]," host Chris Harrison said. Bachelor producer fired for sleeping with contestant
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jan 4th 2010 7:27PM
Call it an unfortunate coincidence or a bigger publicity stunt tragedy than unleashing a cage of rabid cougars in a mall to promote Cougar Town. A producer for ABC's The Bachelor has been fired for giving one of the show's female contestants a rose of his own.
Chris Harrison, the show's host, confirmed the affair on a Los Angeles radio show and called it "incredibly unfortunate" and "embarrassing." That means ABC is going to hype the s#*& out of it in the new season. Sounds to me like the reality show producer did his job.
