'America's Got Talent': Colbie Caillat Performs, Four Wild Cards Move On (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 18th 2011 12:43AM
It was an eclectic wild card round on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC), but only four acts are going to move onto next week's semifinals. To lighten the festivities we got a very beautiful performance from the cast of 'Les Miserables,' and Colbie Caillat lit up the stage with her song 'Brighter Than the Sun.'!!SPOILER ALERT!!
As it turned out, though, these were the only musical acts to have a great night, as none of last night's vocalists made it through to the next round. America sent through the creepy West Springfield Dance Team, illusionist Landon Swank and in a surprise vote, The Kinetic King. While his act is pretty unique, we're not sure it's Vegas material.
Colbie Caillat Talks About Her Unsuccessful 'American Idol' Auditions on 'Today' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 12th 2011 1:30PM
Colbie Caillat has put out hit singles, won a Grammy for her work with Jason Mraz, and been nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album. But in spite of all those accomplishments now under her belt, there was a time when Caillat couldn't get through the initial stages of two 'American Idol' auditions. Tuesday on 'Today' (7AM ET on NBC) she spoke about her journey with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, and performed with her band."I'm shy," she said of her unsuccessful 'American Idol' tryouts. "I'm nervous. I don't audition well. And I honestly gave bad auditions. And the second time I auditioned with 'Bubbly,' which is kind of funny. But I didn't look that great. I get it."
Review: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 7 Results
by Michael Pascua, posted Nov 4th 2009 1:05AM

(S09E15) Last night on Dancing with the Stars many of the dancers grew stronger than ever. With Mark & Anna T. on the bottom, it guaranteed that they were either going home or dancing for their lives. Instead of having one performer singing two different songs, we have three performances thanks to DWTS pimping the Ballas Hough Band.
Encore Performance - Team Tango - The second time around, the performance still had the sizzle and the strongest timing. Kelly had this dazed look this time, possibly because she was nervous for the dance-off. Joanna still was the strongest of the night, possibly because Derek's choreography that he gave her was the strongest.
