Colin Firth Wants to Host 'SNL' Again
by Mike Ryan, posted Nov 21st 2011 10:15AM
People forget this, but seven years before Colin Firth became an Oscar winner for playing the King of England, and before Firth became the no-doubt-about-it household name that he is today, he hosted 'SNL,' back in March of 2004. Firth is currently promoting his new spy thriller, 'Tinker Tailor Solider Spy,' but took some time to reminisce about his hosting duties and made it clear that, yes, he wants to host 'SNL' again. The ball is in your court, 'SNL.' (And, yes, 'SNL,' you should totally let Colin Firth host again.)Fridge Repairman Changes Colin Firth's Mind about 'A Single Man' (VIDEO)

Well, thank goodness for Colin Firth's refrigerator repairman. The actor's been nominated for an Oscar for his role in 'A Single Man,' but he almost turned down the role via e-mail. "I didn't press send. The doorbell rang. A guy came to fix my refrigerator, and that was enough time for me to reconsider," he said on 'Oprah Winfrey' (weekdays, syndicated). "It was just that pause before pressing send."
There's a reason those repair guys get the big bucks. We hope Firth tipped him well and remembers to thank him in his acceptance speech.

Colin Firth and Craig Ferguson Talk Pornography (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 16th 2010 5:34AM
When Colin Firth and Craig Ferguson get together, the conversation naturally turns to pornography. Do they watch it? They both decide that if it's on the British airwaves, it must be alright. And Ferguson says he'd rather be in it than "sadly weeping in the hotel room."Pornography aside, we just think it'd be a blast to be in any room with these two. Since that's probably not going to happen anytime soon, we'll have to amuse ourselves by watching 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' (weeknights, 12:35AM ET on CBS).

Leno Weekly: Chelsea Handler, Dr. Phil, Ewan McGregor and more!

Hey, a lot happens in five shows. Let's get right into it!COMEDY CORRESPONDENTS
Arsenio Hall was featured twice this week. His first appearance was in a segment that had potential called "This Is What They Said/This Is What They Meant." I was expecting to see video clips of celebrities, politicians and the like spouting their same bullcrap, and then having Hall tell us what he thinks they really meant. Instead, it was Leno reading quotes, including historically famous ones like Julius Ceasar's "Et tu, Brute!" The gag didn't make sense anymore, and even worse the bits weren't funny.
Luckily, he came back later in the week with an on-site spot at Yankee Stadium, where he interviewed players from both teams and even set up a bet against a Yankees player and Phillies fan Kevin Eubanks involving Snuggies.
The Daily Show: April 24, 2008 - VIDEOS

Jon must have had some overenthusiastic audience members who didn't have anything better to do all day but wait in line for the Daily Show. Just for the record, you normally don't have to wait earlier than 1:30 - 2:00 p.m. to get the first spots in the queue. However, if crazy 10:00-ers happen to come on the same day, then you're out of luck, at least in terms of getting the "hardcore fan" bragging rights of being first in line. It doesn't necessarily guarantee the best seats in the house, as I had to find out the hard way.TV Squad Hot Topics
