Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen Talks About Getting Roasted (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Sep 16th 2011 2:45PM
Charlie Sheen seems to have come out on the other side of his public breakdown, which culminated with his firing from the popular sitcom 'Two and A Half Men.' Speaking with Matt Lauer Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Sheen sounded almost normal, as if he were talking about someone else who went nuts and lost his job.Of course, he's already heard everything bad everyone could say about him, having taped his Comedy Central Roast last week. It got personal, but Sheen understood. "It was entertainment, but I think if you're gonna roast a guy like me, there can't be any boundaries," he said. "There can't be anything off limits. You know? I was sitting there, and I thought, okay, I volunteered for this. You know? And that was an odd feeling because, who would do that?"
Charlie Sheen Roast Promos: Charlie Rides the Roast Express (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Aug 30th 2011 12:20PM
Charlie Sheen has been accused of many things over the past year, but no one's ever said he isn't a self-promotional dynamo. After yesterday's announcement that Mike Tyson would be among the esteemed roasters to skewer our depraved anti-hero, Comedy Central has followed up the news by releasing two new Roast promos.
The videos feature Sheen riding a (crazy) train, nicknamed the Roast Express, to Goddess Harbor, Warlockia, Winnington, and Tiger Valley. They're stocked with visual representations of Sheen's catchphrases, and he tries to coin a few more. "Comedy Central's trying to roast Charlie Sheen? That's like trying to duct tape the wind to the ground."
Charlie actually looks like he's in good-health, embracing the whole thing, and dare we say ... TV ready? Heaven help us all.

Prepare yourself for another barrage of tiger blood and winning jokes -- Comedy Central announced this morning that its newest roast target is none other than the bitchin' rock star from Mars himself, Charlie Sheen. The 'Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen' will tape in Los Angeles on Sat., Sept. 10, and will air on Comedy Central on Mon., Sept. 19 at 10PM ET, the network confirmed. That means Sheen will return to TV the same night as 'Two and a Half Men' premieres its first episode with Ashton Kutcher, although the sitcom airs at 9PM on CBS and won't be direct competition.
"You could say I've been providing kindling for this Roast for a while," Sheen said in a statement. "It's time to light it up. It's going to be epic."
