Rose McGowan Talks About Her Witchy Look in 'Conan the Barbarian' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 17th 2011 3:15PM
Rose McGowan has sported some strange looks in movies before, but her role as Marique, the witch daughter of a warlord in the new 'Conan the Barbarian' movie is one of the strangest. McGowan told Kit Hoover about the film and Marique's bizarre look on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC).McGowan, as Marique, has no discernable eyebrows and an enlarged forehead, which she called a "tenhead." "The studio asked if I would shave my eyebrows and my hairline back to here," she said, indicating a line several inches above her forehead. "And I thought, sure, if you give me five million dollars."
Jason Momoa Says 'Game of Thrones' Helped Land Him 'Conan' Title Role (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 16th 2011 3:00PM
Playing a muscle-bound TV warrior gave Jason Momoa the opportunity to play a muscle-bound warrior on the big-screen. The actor told Kit Hoover Tuesday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicate on NBC) that his intimidating performance as Khal Drogo on HBO's 'Game of Thrones' landed him the starring role in the movie reboot of 'Conan the Barbarian,' which opens Friday. On 'Thrones,' Drogo is a chieftan who leads his hordes into battle. Momoa said his performance impressed the 'Conan' people. "I did the haka," said Momoa, "which is like this Maori war dance, war chant, and it's very intimidating and scary, and obviously the same casting director was there for Conan.
Former Baywatch star is Conan the Barbarian

Yes, I know what you're thinking... David Hasselhoff, right? No, I'm sorry. That is incorrect. The actor playing the title role in the upcoming Conan the Barbarian remake is television actor Jason Momoa, best known for his roles on Baywatch Hawaii and Stargate Atlantis. If Momoa's most visible roles involve a franchise name followed by a location, then perhaps a better title for the flick would be Conan the Barbarian: Middle Earth. Even better, they could have Conan the Barbarian: New Jersey. I'm just saying.
Mind you, there have been rumors for years about a remake or continuation of the Conan movies. If I recall correctly, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was attached to the lead role at one point.
One can only wonder if the recent controversy surrounding another guy named Conan sparked this particular announcement at this time. Or maybe, as Doc Brown says, it could just be an amazing coincidence.
Conan O'Brien puts his future in your hands
by Danny Gallagher, posted Jan 19th 2010 7:30PM
Once again, Conan O'Brien has put the future of his career in his fans' hands. Not a smart move if you ask me. Isn't his ratings what finally did him and Jay Leno in, even if Conan has more public support than Superman and Batman combined if they were doing battle with Lex Luthor, The Joker and Jeff Zucker?
The soon-to-be former Tonight Show host has gotten a ton of other offers from a personal invitation from Kurt Sutter to play an IRA gun runner on next season's Sons of Anarchy to a starring role in a Pink Visual porno called Conan the Bangbarian. Now ol' "Conebone69" himself has asking his viewers to vote for his fate in an online poll at the show's official website.
As of Tuesday afternoon and of no surprise to anyone with a working central nervous system, the porno offer is in the lead with 34 percent.
