If the folks behind the 'The Hangover' franchise are looking for a plot for their third installment, maybe they should just look at the behind-the-scenes antics of the making of '30 Minutes or Less.' Danny McBride was on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC) and revealed what happened when co-star Nick Swardson finally agreed to go out drinking. He'd resisted for a while, blaming several fasts, but when he finally said he was good to go, McBride said he saw why Swardson doesn't drink often.
"At one point, Aziz [Ansari] and I are in the back of the kitchen making sushi in some restaurant and a P.A. is bringing Nick in, who was sleeping against a street lamp outside," McBride explained. He then said they came to in a pool at 4:30 in the morning at a hotel none of them were staying at. And roll opening credits for 'The Hangover 3'!
Bianca Kajlich Talks About Her Topless Scene in '30 Minutes or Less' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 1st 2011 2:45PM
Bianca Kajlich plays a stripper named "Juicy" in the new film '30 Minutes or Less,' a role that's a tad more revealing than Jennifer on 'Rules of Engagement.' But her co-star Danny McBride helped put her at ease when they were filming the topless scene, even though they had to shoot it two different ways, said Kajlich on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC)."Danny McBride is such a professional," she said of filming her risque scene with the actor. "He's such a fun, great guy and he made it totally comfortable. And it was fun." Billy Bush was a little suspicious of McBride, wondering if the film was an elaborate plot to see Kajlich nude. "Suspiciously, we actually shot it two different ways, so we had to do double the takes," Kajlich said.

Thanks to a fortuitous flight to London during which he met Adam 'MCA' Yauch of the Beastie Boys, Danny McBride finds himself a part of the band's forthcoming new video. On 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS), McBride talked about the video, which is a follow up to the 1987 smash '(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).''Make Some Noise' features McBride as MCA, as well as Seth Rogen and Elijah Wood to round out the on-screen representations of the Beastie Boys themselves.
In featuring a clip from the video we saw the star-studded cast that McBride was talking about. Ted Danson, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Rainn Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Jack Black were all there, many of them featured in a "dance contest from the future."
Wearing Knight's Armor, Danny McBride Talks Bawdy Little People at World Dwarf Games (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 31st 2011 5:15AM
In reference to his role as the brave knight Thadeous in the comedy 'Your Highness,' Danny McBride traipsed onto the stage of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) riding a horse and wearing medieval armor (with jeans). The host joined in, donning a knight's helmet and breastplate. They didn't discuss the film but instead another event simultaneous to its production in Belfast, Ireland: the World Dwarf Games.
While McBride was "just trying to be very cautious not to insult anyone," the little people would "hit on every single girl that was in there with just stuff that you could never get away with."
Kimmel tried to coax some examples from the actor, but McBride said their comments were too risqué for broadcast TV. He added that the women would "go with it because, what are they gonna do? And it's kinda cute too."
'Eastbound & Down' Star Danny McBride Talks Marrying Longtime Girlfriend (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 4th 2010 7:30AM
'Eastbound & Down' star Danny McBride flashed his new wedding ring on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC). The actor and his wife had dated for six years, were engaged for three, and finally tied the knot a few weeks ago.His only participation in planning the big day involved picking out the ring and "choosing what sort of tequila was going to be at the after-party," (nay, "reception") he explained.
His wife was excited to be mentioned in the celebrity gossip mags, but very disappointed when "they said that we met like three month ago ... She wanted credit for the time she's put into this." That's understandable.
Clickable: The Sexual Wisdom of Kenny Powers (VIDEO)
by Ryan McKee, posted Sep 21st 2010 11:48AM
Danny McBride's character Kenny Powers from 'Eastbound and Down' is arguably the filthiest character to ever be the focus television show. He also has bursts of unique charisma and unwavering confidence in the face worldwide failure. Those latter characteristics get him laid. And in an odd way, his usual repulsive attitude also sets him up to score since it makes any real humanity he shows that much more impressive and surprising. Maybe you couldn't tell from that first paragraph, but we love Kenny Powers. He is all of those bad things and we still cheer for him. That is why we can't wait for the premier of 'Eastbound and Down's' second season on September 26th. And why we love Nerve.com for compiling a hilarious montage of Powers' animal magnetism.
Danny McBride and Rhys Darby Heading to 'The Office'?
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 10th 2010 4:40PM
Get ready, because the 'Who Should Replace Steve Carell on 'The Office'' debate is heating up with the first two possible outside candidates entering the mix. According to The Ausiello Files, NBC has reached out to Danny McBride ('Eastbound & Down') and Rhys Darby ('Flight of the Conchords') about possibly joining the cast this season.
Showrunner Paul Lieberstein has yet to confirm whether McBride or Darby could end up replacing Carell's Michael Scott after he leaves next year. All he'll say is that the writers are "having discussions" about bringing in a new salesman to shake things up in Scranton.
'Eastbound and Down' Halloween Costume: Kenny Powers
by Kim Potts, posted Oct 16th 2009 1:00PM
The Costume: 'Eastbound and Down' former Major League Baseball pitching sensation Kenny Powers (played by the hilarious Danny McBride), who's still a legend in his own mind. What You'll Need: Jeans, a T-shirt with the sleeves cut off, a beer can in one hand, a baseball glove on the other and facial hair manscaped into a circle beard. Essential to pulling off the Kenny Powers look: the perm/mullet wig, because Kenny is all about business up front and some serious, get-down-with-your-bad-self partying in the back. And by the way, we do mean wig, because we hope you're not trying to rock that look with your own hair.

Anyone else looking forward to season two of Eastbound & Down?
by Mike Moody, posted Apr 8th 2009 6:05PM
I didn't expect to be charmed by a show about a dude who snorts blow off a loaded rifle. HBO's Eastbound & Down turned out to be my favorite new comedy of the year. The show, produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, seemed like a one-note joke at first. It stars Danny McBride as Kenny Powers, a deluded and self-obsessed former baseball star forced to move back to his hometown and work as a middle school gym coach.
Surprisingly, this thing got funnier and more addictive with every episode. Danny McBride is great as the extremely vulgar Kenny Powers, and the show has a lot more going for it than most of Ferrell and McKay's juvenile big screen comedies.
Eastbound & Down had an abbreviated first season – only six episodes – but HBO just renewed it for a second season.
Will Ferrell Developing HBO Comedy Series
by Brett Love, posted Sep 20th 2006 12:32PM
When I first heard this, my initial reaction was 'Good grief, not another behind the scenes of entertainment show.' Thankfully, that's not the case here. Along with his producing partner Adam McKay, Will Ferrell has sold a new series called P.E. to HBO. According to those mysterious 'sources', this is one of HBO's richest development deals to date. The story is of a burnt out major league pitcher who returns to his hometown to work as a P.E. teacher. Along with the struggles of dealing with his new life out of the limelight, he also has to face up to those people he turned his back on when he became successful. P.E. will be written by Jody Hill, Ben Best, and Danny McBride who were discovered after their indy film, The Foot Fist Way, screened at Sundance.
