Michael Fails to Impress With an Original Song on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 5th 2011 3:16AM
Perhaps to help her understand their more urban roots on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT), three of the "city" bachelors got to treat country girl Devin Grissom to a New York experience on a day trip. While Pete Westwood took her onto the streets and treated her to a sidewalk hot dog, which is an authentic New York experience, Michael Chadwick opened up a little and showed her his musical side. He told Grisson that she'd inspired him to write for the first time in six years.
"When Michael sings to me, I don't know whether I should laugh or kind of cheer him on," Grissom lamented. He proved himself quite adept at lifting phrases from popular songs and rearranging them awkwardly to suit his needs.
ABC's Conveyor Belt of Love will literally treat people like meat
by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 9th 2009 11:10PM
ABC has officially found a way to turn dating reality shows into a literal metaphor. The network has approved a one-hour special called Conveyor Belt of Love in which prospective bachelors are presented to blushing bachelorettes on (you guessed it!) a conveyor belt like so much pre-packaged meat.
The show is being produced by the game show powerhouse Endemol, which produced a similar dating show back in the day called Chains of Love in which people were (you guessed it again!) chained to their dates. Let's hope these literal freaks never produce a dating show It's Time to Cut Him Off.
Check out the show's official trailer after the jump. Watch it with someone you love who reminds you that you don't have to grovel for affection on television anymore.
