So You Think You Can Dance: Top 16 Perform
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 25th 2009 12:42AM
(S05E09) Things were getting too exciting during the competition episodes, so the producers brought in Toni Basil to join Nigel and Mary on the panel. Even though it's a big deal to be receiving a prestigious award, I still found myself dozing off when she started talking about it.This year, the competition is so tight that it's hard to figure out who's going to be in the bottom three from week to week. So many of the contestants are really impressive in picking up the different styles, and that continued tonight.
What also continued was couples who were great last week being not so great this week. And there are still so many couples that there are only a few favorites sprinkled throughout. In other words "What have you done for me lately?" is in full effect. So what did they do?
Dancing With The Stars: Week 7 results
by Brett Love, posted Nov 6th 2008 1:10AM

(S07E15) After a night off so we could all take in the results of the big election, it was time to head back to the ballroom and knock six teams down to five. Tom opened the show by calling Monday the wildest night yet, noting that the gap between top and bottom has never been so great. That disparity is, of course, the result of the ridiculous team judging. Would it lead to another shocking elimination? The results, as well as a look at musical guest Lionel Richie, two pro performances, the return of Dance Center, and stars of dance with Dave Scott (pictured), is after the jump.
Mythbusters set to bust moon landing hoax myths
by Brad Trechak, posted Mar 14th 2008 9:42AM
Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel will be airing a special about the "hoax" of the original Moon landing. I guess they're going to determine if the 1969 Apollo mission happened or not.The team of Kari, Grant, and Tori went to the Marshall Space Flight Center to use a vacuum chamber. While there, they will be recreating Dave Scott's famous hammer and feather drop from the Apollo 15 mission.
So You Think You Can Dance: Week 8

(S03E20) Holy smokes. Call me crazy if you don't agree, but I'm calling this the best episode of the season. There hasn't been a standout number one performance every week, but there has always been something that didn't quite work, or didn't quite measure up to the rest. I didn't find that here. It would seem that the talk about the choreographers stepping things up wasn't just talk as all of them delivered great routines for the dancers to perform. The criticisms were few and far between this week, from me, and from the judges. That would be Nigel and Mary as usual, joined this week by Debbie Allen. After the jump, we'll get to all of the performances, and a rant about Fox scheduling.
So You Think You Can Dance: Week 2

(S03E08) It's becoming quite apparent that this is going to be a tough race. The competition is just entering the second week and there really isn't anyone that sticks out as being noticeably below the rest of the group. Depending on the styles drawn each week, every team in the competition has the potential to have the best performance of the night. It should make some difficult decisions for both the voters and the judges. This week Nigel and Mary were joined at the judges table by Mia Michaels for what turned out to be quite an impressive group of performances. She told Cat that she was disappointed to see Ricky leave and that America got it wrong, putting the best three male dancers in the bottom three. I didn't agree with Ricky being let go last week, but I think she's going a little far there.
