David Letterman started off his 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) interview with Herman Cain by making fun of himself. "I'm no stranger to sexual scandal," he said, which drew a big chuckle from Cain. But then Letterman got serious about the sexual harassment allegations that have been leveled against Cain by several women, asking him if he would drop out of the race if they were proven true.

"One of two things will happen ... you'll be exonerated just like Justin Bieber ... or they will prevail and there will be somebody else coming forward" with documentation and more evidence. "Now will you resign if that's the case?" he asked.

Cain continued to deny that he had done anything wrong. "Let's be very clear about the allegations that have already been made. The reason that I went front and center in front of the media is that I knew there wasn't anything to it. There's no further documentation has come up. So we have moved on."

Then Letterman got even more incredulous. "So these statement are all false. All of these women are lying. They're all lying. They are all lying," he repeated.

Today is Regis Philbin's last day co-hosting 'Live! With Regis and Kelly,' but it seems as though thoughts of retirement are still far from the 80 year-old's mind. Talking to reporters after Thursday's show he said "I feel pretty good," but he did admit that he may not feel quite so good next week when the show carries on without him.

"I wasn't looking forward to this moment," said Philbin. "You never are in your life when you're leaving a success that you worked your tail off to make." However, the hardest working man in television won't be idle for long. He's embarking next week on a US book tour to promote his new memoir, 'How I Got This Way,' and he's already been toying with the idea of making his own reality show.

However, he told 'The New York Times' that what he'd really, really like to do is host 'Saturday Night Live.' Saying it would be "irresistible" if he got the call, Philbin quipped "It's come up in my mind, but not theirs. I think the audience for that show would rather have some young guy playing a vampire somewhere."

David Letterman and Regis Philbin have been friends for years, so Letterman stopped by 'Live' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) to bid his dear buddy farewell, and to tease him about his Newsweek cover-shoot with Jerry Seinfeld.

Holding up the cover, Letterman joked, "You've been on my show, what, about a million times? How many times has Jerry put you on his show? Oh I forgot, Jerry doesn't have a show."

Letterman then payed Regis a high compliment, putting his legacy in the same sentence with TV legend Johnny Carson, who was known as the King of Late Night. "When Johnny stepped down ... it was, who's gonna be the guy? Well lord knows it wasn't me ... and it's certainly not Leno ... so Regis, we realized, sitting right under our nose, here's the guy," Letterman said.

Regis PhilbinThe stars are lining up to say goodbye to Regis Philbin.

The 80-year-old entertainer is leaving 'Live! With Regis and Kelly' on Fri., Nov. 18, but not before some old friends -- including former 'Live!' co-host Kathie Lee Gifford -- return to pay tribute to the talk show host.

Gifford will appear on Thurs., Nov. 17, Philbin's second-to-last show. Additional guests include: Don Rickles (Nov. 14), Jimmy Fallon (Nov. 14), Donald Trump (Nov. 15) and David Letterman (Nov. 16).

Singers Tony Bennett, Bret Michaels and Josh Groban will also stop by for special musical performances.

Johnny Depp, 'Late Show'Johnny Depp knows a thing or two about being a teen heartthrob, so who better to consider the phenomenon known as Justin Bieber? The first time Depp came across the Bieb, he told 'Late Show' (Weeknights., 11:30PM ET on CBS) host David Letterman, was when he was doing press interviews for his movie 'Rango.'

When a journalist acted Depp if he was "a Belieber" the actor was at first confused, and he thought maybe the guy either had a speech impediment or had downed a few drinks. But then the old synapses fired off and he realized what the guy was talking about.

So Depp said, "Of course, I'm a huge Belieber." And then, as if by magic, Bieber himself appeared in the room. "I don't know if we summoned him up?" joked Depp.

Chris ChristieDuring his lengthy press conference yesterday to announce that he's still not running for President, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie answered dozens of questions from reporters on a variety of topics.

He even addressed how he's become such a figure of fun for late night TV hosts.

'Two and a Half Men' Top TenSince production on Season 9 got underway the 'Two and a Half Men' set has been shrouded in secrecy. Promos have teased that all will be revealed in the premiere episode.

Last night, however, we got a sneak peek at the new Sheen-less 'Men' courtesy of David Letterman and 'Late Show.' And there was not a bowling shirt in sight.

Series stars Ashton Kutcher, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones presented last night's Top Ten list on 'Late Show,' which, fittingly enough, was The Top Ten Reasons to Watch the New Season of 'Two and a Half Men.'

Ashton Kutcher, 'Late Show with David Letterman'When David Letterman had Ashton Kutcher on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he had one thing on his mind: find out how Charlie Harper dies in the upcoming season of 'Two and a Half Men.' By now everyone knows that Charlie Sheen's character is being killed off and he's being replaced by Kutcher, but we don't know how he dies.

David LettermanScary news for David Letterman: a website frequently used by Al Qaeda has posted an assassination threat against the 'Late Show' host.

According to Entertainment Weekly, SITE Intelligence Group, a private company that tracks extremist activity on the web, said a frequent commenter on Shumukh-al-Islam, a site that frequently received messages from Al Qaeda in the United States, has called on Muslims to kill the CBS talk show host. Why? EW reports Letterman mocked the death of accused terrorist leader Ilyas Kashmiri.

Kashmiri was killed by a US airstrike in Pakistan in June 2011.

"Is there not amongst you a Sayyid Nosair al-Masri (may Allah release him) to cut the tongue of this lowly Jew and shut it forever," a poster who calls himself Umar al-Basrawi wrote. "Just as Sayyid (may Allah release him) did with the Jew Kahane."

The Marvel movie staple dropped by 'The Late Show With David Letterman' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) to chat about a star-studded golf game that Trump invited him to play in.

Trump asked Jackson to join a game with a few friends, and one of those friends just happened to be Bill Clinton. Which brings me to my next question: Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are golfing buddies?

Perhaps golf is a more important sport than we thought it was. Maybe, one day, golf will be the one interest that all men will have in common.

While Jackson himself isn't a pro at the sport, he says Clinton isn't exactly gonna be seen wearing a green Masters jacket anytime soon either.

Ray Romano on 'Late Show With David Letterman'Ray Romano shared an interesting theory about evolution and growing old, on 'Late Show With David Letterman' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS).

Romano told host David Letterman about how a recent game of hoops with his kid resulted in him "taking a shot to the groin."

As Letterman grimaced and the men in the audience groaned in sympathy, Romano came out with one surprising benefit to getting older. Having said that a shot in the groin is the worst pain imaginable for a man, he said that this one, well, "It didn't hurt as much."

And here's Romano's explanation why: Evolution. Yep, the 50-something actor reckons that when a guy gets hit "down there" in his 20s or 30s the ensuing agony is nature's way of telling him to be careful with his man parts because he and the species needs them.

'The Colbert Report'If you're going to be covering flooding on your television show, make sure you have an empty bladder before you begin. That's a lesson we all learned tonight on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central). Also, know where the bathroom key is.

Stephen Colbert stopped mid-story to announce suddenly that he needed to go to the bathroom. It was all to set up some fun sight gags, like him standing in the corner of his set, and then making his way over to the set of 'Late Show.'

He walked in during David Letterman's monologue, or at least Letterman stammering and not saying anything during it, and proceeded to go over to his desk.
