Winners from Across Entertainment at the '2011 Do Something! Awards' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 19th 2011 3:53AM
Jimmy Fallon & Stephen Colbert, '2011 Do Something! Awards'It was a star-studded affair at the 2011 Do Something! Awards' (Thu., 9PM ET on VH1). The show spotlights and awards people for making a difference in their communities and in the world.

And of course it also spotlights celebrities who take the time to reach out as well. How else are you going to lure in as many viewers as you can? With the likes of Bieber, Gaga, Colbert, Fallon, Ferrell and Wilde, of course.

It was a star-studded event, and all the cool kids were there to accept awards. The show also accepted plenty of rocking musical performances by Foster the People, Demi Lovato, One Republic and B.o.B, and Jane Lynch took to the stage to perform 'Hold On' with Wilson Phillips.

Gordon Ramsay Doesn't Like Jimmy Kimmel's Jokes About Victoria Beckham (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jun 16th 2011 9:12AM
Gordon RamsayGordon Ramsay may be a big chef now, but in his youth he was known for being quite the soccer player. So it's not that surprising to hear that he and his wife like to go out for dinner with their friends soccer legend David Beckham and his wife Victoria -- a.k.a. Posh and Becks -- from time to time.

Ramsay was telling an anecdote about one such outing on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) when he lost his cool after host Kimmel kept interrupting him. It was a lively night for the person with their finger on the ABC censor button as the potty-mouthed chef started cursing.

The problem was that Kimmel simply couldn't get his head around the idea of the famously super-skinny Victoria actually letting food pass her lips. (And we're sure he's not the only one.) When Ramsay -- let's face it -- rather implausibly claimed that Posh "eats like a horse," Kimmel said, "What kind of a horse? A very thin horse. ... One of those carousel horses?"

David Beckham on Raising His Sons as Athletes (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 26th 2010 11:30AM
Soccer star David Beckham dropped by 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC) and discussed raising his three sons as potential athletes. According to Beckham, his children have shown an interest in soccer just like their dad, but they're also involved in a wide range of other sports as well.

Beckham said it's not important that his children pursue careers in soccer, as long as they're involved in sports in some way. "They're really into playing soccer, but they're also into playing other sports. Now, obviously, living in the U.S., they're playing football, they're playing basketball, baseball. They're talented little boys, but, whatever they want to do, it doesn't matter ... but it'd be great for them to be involved in sports, because it's such a great thing," Beckham said.

Couple Gets Makeover to Look like David and Victoria Beckham (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Mar 19th 2010 3:30PM
Rachael Ray takes a husband and wife from her audience and gives them a makeover to look like celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

The couple is outfitted in clothing similar to what the Beckhams have worn in the past, and the wife receives an angular hairdo. But, sadly, the similarities post-makeover seem to end there.

Victoria Beckham Disapproves of Men's Figure Skating Fashion (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Feb 17th 2010 2:30PM
Guest host Victoria Beckham and the ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) discussed the fashion of male figure skaters today, with Beckham strongly disapproving of the outlandish garb they typically wear.

"I have to say, in my opinion, there is nothing good about those outfits," Beckham said. "I wear the feathers in my relationship. If David came home dressed like that ... I mean, can you imagine?"

Jimmy Kimmel to air primetime specials

by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 4th 2008 3:03PM
Jimmy KimmelThe late night comedian will be appearing during your primetime schedule. Starting tomorrow, Jimmy Kimmel LIve will run special half-hour shows each night that ABC airs the basketball finals. Special guests include: David Beckham, Edward Norton, Charles Barkley, Liv Tyler, Adam Sandler, Eminem, Shaquille O'Neil, Magic Johnson and New Orleans Hornets guard and 2008 MVP contender Chris Paul, among others.

Out of the celebrities mentioned, I'm most interested to see Eminem. I haven't seen the Real Slim Shady on TV in awhile. He's always a good interview though -- all that contrived hostility and testosterone in overdrive. Who are you looking forward to seeing? Or is Kimmel's fabulousness enough to get you to tune in?

The schedule is after the jump.

Stupid rumor of the day: David Beckham joins Desperate Housewives

by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 6th 2007 5:22PM

David BeckhamOh, come on, do they actually expect us to believe that David Beckham and Robbie Williams will play the gay couple of ABC's Desperate Housewives this season?

As Paul mentioned recently, a new gay couple will move into Wisteria Lane this fall. And now Digital Spy says that soccer star David Beckham has chosen singer Robbie Williams to be his partner on the show if it were to ever happen. The site also says that creator Marc Cherry says that Beckham picked Williams over new friend Tom Cruise.

Yeah, OK...

Hey, Brigitte here with TV Squad Daily. I'll be covering the TV stories I find interesting each day, Monday through Friday, in this video blog.

Today on TV Squad Daily:
  • It's becoming pageant tradition. Miss New Jersey is fighting a photo blackmail battle.
  • David Beckham is definitely filming his own separate reality show now, and I bet they'll be able to get more than one hour's worth of footage from him (sorry Posh.)
  • Is it personal or political? The creator of The Simpsons says there's no way the new British prime minister will follow in Tony Blair's footsteps with a guest appearance on the cartoon.

Beckhams filming separate reality shows

by Anna Johns, posted Jun 13th 2007 2:41PM
victoria beckham; david beckhamVictoria Beckham and her soccer player husband, David, are currently filming separate reality shows about their move to Los Angeles. Posh is all over Los Angeles this week, filming her series, which will air on NBC or Bravo. She's doing things like throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game and "accidentally" bumping into Perez Hilton at a coffee shop.

And David Beckham is making his own reality show for British network, ITV. Producers say it's not so much about his wife and three sons, but about soccer. There's a great quote in the article about the driving force of this reality show, "David's move to LA Galaxy is an historic event... Viewers will get an amazing insight into his thoughts about the story that shook the world of football."
