Jon Stewart Refuses to Believe Diane Keaton That Woody Allen Is Handsome (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 4:15AM
When Jon Stewart was growing up there were two different worlds happening. There was the world of infinite possibilities in which Diane Keaton was dating Woody Allen, and then there was the more expected one where she was involved with Warren Beatty. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), she defended Allen, saying that he was handsome. This, Stewart simply couldn't believe. She didn't make it any more believable when she cited Woody's glasses as one of the reasons he was handsome. Because near-sightedness is what all the ladies are looking for, Stewart presumed. But everyone knows women aren't as hung up on looks as men are, and so maybe she was attracted to Allen's wit and charm.
TV Casting: Diane Keaton Eyes HBO Comedy
by Andrew Scott, posted Apr 13th 2010 10:12AM
The Internet is abuzz with rumors that Diane Keaton ('Annie Hall') will star in HBO's 'Tilda,' a new half-hour comedy from Bill Condon ('Gods and Monsters,' 'Dreamgirls,' Showtime's 'The C Word') and Cynthia Mort ('Tell Me You Love Me'). If cast, the Oscar-winning legend would play a "powerful and much-feared Hollywood blogger." Last summer, Keaton was attached to star in a separate HBO project, about a feminist icon who launches a sexually explicit magazine for women in an attempt to revitalize the movement. Diane Keaton launching a dirty women's magazine in new HBO series
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 30th 2009 2:03PM
I think HBO is getting turned on by tackling sex in unconventional ways. They've found recent success with Thomas Jane's male gigolo in Hung. And now HBO's nabbed the venerable Diane Keaton to star in an as-yet-untitled series about a feminist icon who tries to light a fire under the movement by launching a dirty magazine for women.Hell, the idea of a dirty magazine for women is taboo enough for a TV show. Aren't we led to believe that women are above all that; that only men are depraved enough to prop up that entire industry? Suddenly, in two different half-hour comedies, HBO is taking a long hard look at female sexuality in a way that's even more scrutinizing than Sex and the City.
The original idea was to have a young feminist work at an existing porn magazine. Thank god creators Marti Noxon and Dawn Parouse changed their minds. It's much more intriguing to consider an older woman spearheading such an enterprise. I am interested in what name they ultimately come up with for the show. What would you call it?

Diane Keaton drops F-bomb on GMA - VIDEO
by Kristin Sample, posted Jan 16th 2008 8:11PM
Diane Keaton totally dropped the F-Bomb on Good Morning America! And they didn't even bleep it. Keaton was being interviewed by Diane Sawyer, presumably about her new movie Mad Money. Sawyer is about to pose a question when Diane Keaton stops and compliments her on her lips (which are quite nice, I must say). Keaton laments that she doesn't have such nice lips cause if she did, she wouldn't have to work so damn hard on her "f*cking personality."
This is why I "heart" Diane Keaton. Of the two Dianes, clearly Keaton has the personality. She doesn't have to work on it.
