Tuesday's season finale of '16 and Pregnant' (Tuesdays, 10pm on MTV) took a look back at some of the young girls and their families from season three, including an emotional interview with Kayla and her mother. Kayla said her mother neglected her, paying more attention to her boyfriend and ignoring her during her time of need."There was a point where she moved away from all of us kids, and that was hard," said Kayla. "It was so easy for her to pick up and leave." Kayla also said her mother left her in the apartment with no heat while she spent the night with her boyfriend, telling Kayla to get a hotel.
Adam Carolla: Dr. Drew Was My Inspiration for 'In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 9th 2011 6:15PM
Adam Carolla thinks men are getting too soft. That's why he wrote his book of humorous essays, 'In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks ... And Other Complaints from an Angry Middle-Aged White Guy.' But there's one man in particular Carolla thinks needs saving from his softer side, he revealed Thursday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). And that's his 'Loveline' co-host, Dr. Drew Pinsky, whom Carolla said was the inspiration for him to write the book. The inspiration comes from a single incident, when Pinsky showed up ten minutes late for 'Loveline' one night because he'd had a flat tire. He had to wait for AAA to come fix it, Pinsky had explained. What shocked Carolla was that Pinsky had gotten the flat in his own garage. "I said, 'You called AAA to come to your house, to your heated garage and change your tire?'" Carolla remembered incredulously. That, he said, is when he knew it was over.

On '16 and Pregnant,' Ashley Is Reunited With the Baby That She Gave Away (VIDEO)

When you're pregnant and have just entered your teenage years, all choices must seem like hard choices. And on '16 and Pregnant,' high school senior Ashley Salazar has to deal with the consequences of her choice.Ashley lives in a suburb of Dallas, Texas. She has dreams of moving to Manhattan and becoming a photojournalist. But those dreams changed, once Ashley became pregnant at sixteen. Justin, her ex-boyfriend, didn't stick around -- so Ashley made the hard decision to give up her daughter Callie for adoption.
On the new episode (Tue., 10PM ET on MTV), Ashley got to hold her daughter for the first time in months. After giving birth, Ashley gave up Callie, letting her aunt and uncle care for the child. She went on to pursue her dreams of attending college in New York City. But did Ashley make the right choice? And was there ever a one hundred percent "right" choice for the teen to make?
Dr. Drew's Stalker Charged
by Danny Gallagher, posted Mar 5th 2010 7:36PM
It turns out that Hollywood's man for the mentally dysfunctional and perpetually codependent has someone who is addicted to him. Police have charged Charles Pearson on suspicions that he stalked and threatened Dr. Drew Pinsky and his family on more than one occasion.
Pearson stands accused of posting threatening messages towards the doctor. He also showed up at a radio station event in Los Angeles where Dr. Pinsky does his nationally syndicated "Loveline" show on KROQ.
TV's Dr. Drew saves a dying high school football player
by John Scott Lewinski, posted Nov 3rd 2009 8:34AM
On TV, Dr. Drew Pinsky saves people from drugs and sex. But, the Celebrity Rehab host came out of the stands at California high school football game last weekend to save the life of a dying player.Pinsky was watching his son Doug play football at Pasadena Polytechnic when a Poly player took a shot to the head. I played football for years, and these things happen. There's no indication that malice was involved in the related hit.
The injured player, Jackson Allan, came off the field and headed to the bench to talk to his coaching staff and teammates. But, as is often the case with concussions and other head injuries, the brain can be deceptive. The condition quickly grew more serious, and paramedics were called.
But, Pinsky got there first to find Allan in a coma -- no longer breathing.
Lindsay Lohan to visit Dr. Drew?
by Brad Trechak, posted Jun 10th 2009 1:01PM
She's been criticized on and thrown off movie and television sets. She did a mock-ad on eHarmony. She's gone through a lot of pain (mostly self-induced), but Lindsay Lohan hasn't quite bounced back yet. Perhaps she should appear on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew like her father suggests. It says something about her father that he would suggest going on television to solve her problems. Hasn't he noticed how television has treated his family?
Lohan is doing the smart thing by avoiding the spotlight as she works through her issues. Going on Dr. Drew is akin to Dr. Phil's sad attempt at helping Britney Spears with her issues a little while back. It's easy to tell what Pinsky is actually after when his initial attempt at contact was through Parade Magazine.
On the other hand, the acquisition of Lohan would be a ratings bonanza for VH1. I can just imagine Lohan having one of those inscrutable Jeff Conaway moments.
