by Jane Boursaw, posted Apr 1st 2010 4:03AM
Dog the Bounty HunterJust because Duane 'Dog' Chapman bursts into your house and grabs someone else, that doesn't mean you're in the clear. Oh no, not by a long shot.

"Harboring a fugitive? They'll come to get you next," he assures the folks on 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' (Wed., 10PM ET on A&E). And Dog knows what he's talking about, so you'd better listen up!

"Dog" the Bounty Hunter returns

by Brad Trechak, posted Feb 20th 2008 7:42PM
Dog the Bounty HunterYou can't keep a good dog down, even after he's been outed using a racial slur about the woman his son is dating. Duane Chapman is returning to the airwaves.

I didn't think they'd cancel his show forever, any more than Imus was kept off the air for a similar remark. He did apologize to the African-American community. I recognize he used a racial slur in talking to his son, but his son then his turned around and sold the tape of him doing so to the National Enquirer. Also, the man has been married five times and has twelve kids. It sounds like a pretty f**ked up family to me.

I think the Chapman family should have its own reality show, a la The Osbournes. Perhaps he could hunt down escaped convicts during the day and return to his family at night where hijinks would ensue. It's a cross between the Brady family and the Manson family. There's my pitch. Think the networks would go for it?

Sidekick of Dog the Bounty Hunter found nekkid in his truck

by Richard Keller, posted Jan 6th 2008 1:07PM

Spill a juice, get naked in your truck. This is Tim Chapman's excuseAnd the good luck for Duane "Dog" Chapman and his acquaintances continues. Back in November of 2007 his A&E show Dog the Bounty Hunter was halted after some pretty racist comments he made to his son were publicized. Now, it looks like one of his sidekicks is in hot water for something else that came out in public.

Last Friday, Tim Chapman (no relation to Duane Chapman) turned himself into Honolulu authorities after a shopping center security guard found the reality star naked in his truck allegedly performing a lewd act. Once discovered, the guard asked Chapman to put on his clothes and get out of the truck. Instead, Chapman put on his clothes, started the truck and drove away, nearly hitting the security guard in the process. Police are investigating whether or not to charge Tim for his actions.

Appeal filed on Dog the Bounty Hunter case

by Richard Keller, posted Aug 6th 2007 9:31AM

Duane Last week Adam reported that charges had been dropped against Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane "Dog" Chapman, his son Leland, and work partner Tim, in a case involving illegal detention that took place in Mexico. Well, it looks like Dog and his bounty hunter friends aren't out of the woods yet.

According to AETV.com criminal prosecutors have filed an appeal to overturn the decision of the Puerto Vallarta First Criminal Court. According to Mexican legal law rulings against the prosecution are generally appealed as a matter of principle. However, despite these proceedings, the cancellation of the original arrest warrant for Duane and his posse still stands.

This all stems from a 2003 incident where Dog captured Max Factor heir and convicted rapist Andrew Luster in the Mexican resort town. He originally spent three days in a Mexican jail for that capture.

by Adam Finley, posted Aug 2nd 2007 5:00PM

dog the bounty hunterThis week, the First Criminal Court in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico dismissed charges against Duane "Dog" Chapman, who was arrested in 2003 on charges of illegal detention after capturing Max Factor heir Andrew Luster. The arrest eventually led to the A&E series Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Last September, Mexican authorities requested Chapman, his son Leland and his work partner Tim Chapman (no relation) be extradited to Mexico to face charges of leaving the country instead of staying for their court date. Chapman has said in interviews that they left the country on the advice of their legal counsel.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is headed back to Mexico

by Anna Johns, posted Feb 16th 2007 2:24PM
duane chapman; dog the bounty hunterDuane Chapman, known as Dog the Bounty Hunter and star of his own show on A&E, is probably going to be extradited to Mexico to face criminal charges of kidnapping.

He'll face charges of "deprivation of liberty" in Mexico for his 2003 capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster, who fled America after being convicted of 86 counts of rape. When Dog got him, Mexican authorities arrested Dog for kidnapping and returned Luster to the U.S. themselves. Chapman was released on $300,000 bail. He could spend up to four years in a Mexican prison if convicted. Although, it's hard to imagine how anybody could send a guy to prison for trying to return a serial rapist to America for justice. When Mexican authorities raided Luster's hotel room, they found his date-rape drug of choice, GHB, and plans to get revenge on those who testified against him.

By the way, it's this Luster case that got Dog so much attention in the first place and led to his reality show on A&E.

by Adam Finley, posted Mar 21st 2006 1:34PM
dog the bounty hunterA third season of Dog the Bounty Hunter kicks off on A&E this evening at 9 p.m. EST. Besides the usual captures and tough guy pontificating from the show's titular hero, our ol' pal Dog will also be getting hitched to Beth, his common law wife of sixteen years. The wedding episode is set for May 20 and will include guest stars Hulk Hogan, Danny Bonaduce and Wynonna Judd. Wait, is this a wedding or an episode of The Surreal Life? Anyway, Duane "Dog" Chapman says he wants to finally marry Beth "the Christian way."
