Duff Goldman Bakes Halloween Cake to Look Like Ozzy Osbourne's Zombie Head (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 14th 2011 5:00PM
With Halloween around the corner, former 'Ace of Cakes' and current 'Sugar High' star Duff Goldman stopped by 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to bake some spooky goodies. Working with Sharon Osbourne and guest-host Wayne Brady, Goldman demonstrated how to ice cupcakes to look like ghosts and brains. For his cake-de-gras, Goldman unveiled a creation he'd baked to look like Ozzy Osbourne's severed zombie head. While Sharon was wowed, we were somewhat disappointed Ozzy's cake likeness wasn't munching on a bat.
A Bananas Foster Food Fight Breaks Out on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

Bananas Foster is tasty, and its ingredients are surprisingly easy to throw. That's what Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and chef Duff Goldman (from 'Ace of Cakes') found out on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) during a segment that was supposed to be about cooking. Or at least assembling deserts. But it quickly became more about disassembling deserts when Goldman started sprinkling some of the ingredients on Remini's head.Remini wasn't having it. "You know what?" she said, turning to Peete, who was holding a frosting sleeve. "Don't play with me." Remini squeezed the sleeve to shoot whipped cream at Goldman. Then the whipped cream and bananas started flying everywhere as the trio declared war, and an honest to goodness food fight broke out.
Bake-Off! 'Ace of Cakes' vs. 'Cake Boss'
by Marina Zogbi, posted Nov 19th 2009 9:00AM
In this corner: Champ Duff Goldman, star of the Food Network's custom cake show 'Ace of Cakes.' Every week at Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, Md., Duff and his team of hipster bakers build confections that defy both imagination and gravity for events such as weddings, movie premieres and the Super Bowl.
And in this corner: Contender Buddy Valastro, star of TLC's 'Cake Boss.' Each week at Carlo's Bake Shop in Hoboken, NJ, Buddy and his crew (most of whom are family members) create equally elaborate cakes for customers ranging from Sweet Sixteens to the American Museum of Natural History.
Surely there's room on TV for two wildly creative cake artists? Yet fiercely partisan fans of each show have been taking sides and letting their preference be known. (Just Google "Ace of Cakes vs. Cake Boss."

If you think this image of french fries looks delicious and appetizing, this post is for you.
There are so many cooking shows and food competition shows, everything from Hell's Kitchen to Top Chef to Man v. Food, but there's a new one that started up recently that I'm really, really enjoying. Maybe because it's just about the joy of eating! Whatever the reason, The Best Thing I Ever Ate is a winner.
