The long list of shows that may not return in the fall

by Anna Johns, posted Mar 10th 2006 9:28AM

With the rotating cast and drooping ratings, media watchers say this one is likely on the chopping block (the other two are safe, though). Things aren't looking good for Commander in Chief, either. And, of course, we already knew that there is a good chance Scrubs will be... scrubbed (but possibly get new life on ABC).

Here are the shows (on all networks) that media buyers think are in danger of cancellation:

NBC Fall Preview now online

SurfaceOne of the many great things about the web: you can see previews of the new fall season any time, night or day! NBC has several videos up at their site (hosted by Vanessa Marcil and Nikki Cox of Las Vegas) that give a sneak peek at new shows such as Surface, The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, E-Ring, and My Name Is Earl. Surface looks like B-movie fun, but E-Ring seems like West Wing lite.

You have to sit through a Toyota commercial (and one that's a couple of years old at that), but you get to see some longer previews than what we've seen on TV so far.
