How long will Khloe and Lamar's marriage last?

by Jane Boursaw, posted Sep 30th 2009 12:02PM
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar OdomIt's getting harder and harder to keep up with the Kardashians. I know - why bother, right? But that krazy klan does keep me company while I work into the wee hours.

But when I heard that Khloe and her beau, Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom, were getting married after just one month of seeing each other, all I could think was, really? And the kicker is that Khloe is all huffy over Kourtney getting back with her baby daddy Scott (at this writing anyway), and here she herself goes and gets hitched after knowing the guy for only one month.

Now E! is planning on airing their wedding in a special, hour-long episode of the family's reality show, titled "Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The Wedding." The pair were married earlier this week; the episode will air in November.

How long do you think the marriage will last? I say they'll split up before the the wedding airs.

Chelsea Handler inks new deal with Comcast - I'm saved!

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 24th 2009 8:08AM
Chelsea Handler and ChuyI cover the night shift at TV Squad, which means I edit and schedule posts in the blogging queue from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. I actually like the quiet time to work, since my household is pretty noisy during the day.

But one thing that gets me through the night is Chelsea Lately, the late night talk show featuring comedian Chelsea Handler and her little nugget Chuy. In my neck of the woods, her show airs at 3 and 3:30 a.m., just the exact moment I need a boost to carry me through to morning.

So I was pretty excited to read that Chelsea's inked a shiny new deal with Comcast Entertainment Group. The agreement includes continuing to exec produce and star in her E! show, Chelsea Lately, through 2012. She's also establishing a new company, Borderline Amazing Productions, which will have a first-look deal with Comcast's cable networks.

Style Network tries to make Soup

by Kona Gallagher, posted Jul 31st 2008 1:02PM
Danielle FishelNo doubt envious of all the buzz The Soup is getting, E!'s sister channel, Style Network, is planning their own version. Premiering August 16th, The Dish will cover more topics than The Soup including TV, celebrities, fashion and beauty. Here's the kicker though: The Dish is set to be hosted by Topanga herself, Boy Meets World's Danielle Fishel.

Style executive VP Salaam Coleman sums up The Dish's appeal, saying, "What's great about The Dish is that it takes a not-so-serious look at the often very serious world of fashion and finds the comedy in celebrity lifestyle." Well yes, that would be great--in theory.

The problem is, this is a type of show that is very difficult to do well. You need a strong group of writers and a charismatic host. While The Soup may be the toast of the town now, it kind of sucked when it first aired. While two of The Soup's executive producers are behind The Dish, I'm not sure if Danielle is going to quite have the "pop" that this show is going to need.

Super Skank Wednesday: Dina, Denise, Byata, & Rece - VIDEOS

by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 11th 2008 12:38PM
Serch & YoYoWelcome to Super Skank Wednesday. This is where I celebrate the awesomely skanky people on the following shows: Miss Rap Supreme, I Love Money, Charm School, New York Goes to Hollywood, and The Surreal Life. Basically, I'll discuss the skankalicious shows that make VH1 the network it is today.

Notice how I've changed my introduction? I almost added Living Lohan and Denise Richards: It's Complicated but I realized that would compromise my integrity. I did, however, watch both of those shows Sunday night. I'll tell you about them and the finale of Miss Rap Supreme after the jump.
