Kristen Bell is one of the Heroes
by Varun Lella, posted Aug 20th 2007 12:19AM
It's casting drama times two! Heroes casting news is the Paris Hilton of TV news, you just can't go three days without hearing about it. If you haven't heard about it, you must not come to this website often. Just last week, we heard that our favorite superpower drama was adding a little old school flair with some new school brattitude. Forgive me for saying brattitude.
It seems that Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars fame, who stirred up her own drama when rumors said she was going to join Lost and again when she decided against it, will be the newest edition addition to the Heroes cast -- which has now been recognized as its own country.
Potential spoilers after the jump.
Project Runway: Finale (Part II)
by Annie Wu, posted Oct 19th 2006 7:34AM
(S03E14) After minimal drama (drama that totally didn't live up to the previews), Jeffrey's outsourcing scandal was over and he was let off the hook. However, he was slightly over-budget, so he had to cut the blonde wigs out of his collection. I honestly thought the wigs would have negatively impacted his presentation, so it was probably lucky for him that he had to take away a couple hundred from his budget.Project Runway: Reunion
by Annie Wu, posted Oct 5th 2006 7:57AM
(S03E12) Another season, another reunion episode that attempts to re-ignite flames from drowned embers. Could they have been any more desperate to start shit again? Seriously. Heidi and Tim were practically begging for Keith to have an embarrassing freak-out... for Angela and Jeffrey to throttle each other's throats... for Malan to get really self-conscious about his funny little laugh and shoot somebody in the face. (Un)Fortunately, none of that happened. There was a wee bit of heated discussion, but I didn't think it really lived up to the drama the previews promised.Project Runway: Black and White
by Annie Wu, posted Sep 14th 2006 6:57AM
(S03E10) Damn those Project Runway producers. Damn. Them. To. Hell. How dare they bring back Vincent and Angela?... In the same episode?! I almost threw up on myself, I was so furious. I thought my Runway-related anger was ready to retire, but I guess it was too soon. No. The producers just had to make my blood boil one more time and now I've learned not to trust them. I'm ready for absolutely anything now... Go on, producers. Do your worst. Bring Wendy Pepper back and stick her in the final challenge.I take that back. Please, please, please, for the love of everything that is good and holy, do not bring Wendy Pepper back.
Project Runway: Couture du Jour
by Annie Wu, posted Sep 7th 2006 12:04PM
(S03E09) To finish up their stay in France, the designers were challenged to create a dress employing various couture methods, including hand-sewing, beading, and embroidery (learn more about haute couture here). Although their budget was considerably higher ($375 American), their time limit of two days left everyone in crunch-time from the get-go.Daniel Franco's not so crazy
by Annie Wu, posted Feb 28th 2006 4:14PM
On the first season of Project Runway, just one
episode was enough to convince me that Daniel Franco was a little loopy. A little too much craziness and dancing but
not enough talent to back it up. When he returned for another season, he definitely toned it down a little (good for
you, Daniel!) but the folks at Project Runway still managed to portray him as the token weirdo. For example,
when the designers had to show Heidi their sketches and ideas for the lingerie competition, Daniel whispered to her,
"I want to show you something beautiful" and gave her this really weird smile. Whoa, buddy. Awkward. Well,
giving him the "auf wiedersehen" didn't end the creepiness because on the latest episode (the reunion one),
he said, seemingly out of nowhere, "I love you, Heidi".Olsen twins in Badgley Mischka ad campaign
by Anna Johns, posted Feb 16th 2006 8:05AM
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, a.k.a. "Michelle"
on Full House, have transformed themselves into glamour girls. They're the faces of the Badgley Mischka ad
campaign. Photos of the twins in expensive gowns will appear in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Elle, and InStyle magazines this
Spring. Mark Badgley and James Mischka, creators of the fashion line, said the Olsen twins represent the edgy look
they're going for. "They have an amazing sense of fashion and individuality that intrigued us," said the
fashion duo in a statement. The New
York Times coined their style as "Bobo", or Bohemian Bourgeois, where they pile on a bunch of clothes that
don't match, but cost a bundle.TV Squad Hot Topics
