(S06E10) Sun and Jin. Star-crossed lovers no matter what reality you're in. But their relationship certainly isn't at the same point on Oceanic 815 in the beta-verse as it was in the alpha-verse; despite things looking rather similar when Jin was yelling at Sun to button up her blouse. How dare she show her sternum! It is rather titillating, isn't it?

Korean was flying everywhere in both realities this week, as alpha-Sun and alpha-Jin continued their molasses-paced efforts to reunite on the island. Meanwhile, we got a hint as to what it's like to be inside alpha-Sayid right now, and it doesn't seem like a place I want to go anytime soon.

As expected, the beta-verse adventures of Sun and Jin coincided nicely with Sayid's beta-adventure, meaning that we got to see the other side of the story that led to Jin being tied to a chair in that restaurant storage room.

One of the best scenes in last night's 'Lost' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) occurred when Claire (or whoever she is) attacked Kate, as a dazed Sayid looked on. He's just not right, but some people on the show aren't getting that. Anyway, no one is who they seem to be.

Loved seeing Locke go off on Claire, grabbing her by the scruff of her neck (sort of), tossing her like a sack of potatoes, then slapping her. "I'll deal with you in a moment!" he said.

It must be loads of fun for these characters to play alternative characters on the show. They really get to stretch their acting chops.

They're anticipated, but sometimes dreaded. They can be just what a show needs, or a ratings killer. They can unite or divide audiences. What has this much power in television? TV babies.

Jim and Pam on 'The Office' are just the latest fictional couple to welcome a baby into their wacky fold in tonight's special one-hour episode (9PM ET, NBC). To commemorate the occasion, we're taking a walk around the virtual nursery, looking back at some of TV's most anticipated -- for both good and bad reasons -- babies.

(S06E06) In a season where all the answers are supposedly being given, I actually appreciate that I still have no idea what's coming next on 'Lost.' With twelve episodes left to go, it's certainly not necessary for me to be spoon fed all the answers right now. If they did that, why would we keep watching it for the next two-and-a-half months?

This week, in the alpha-verse we were treated to the promised confrontation at the temple. It certainly didn't go down the way I expected, but it still blew my mind. Claire and Kate wound up facing off, with all the expected tension, and all hell broke loose in the temple. As I said, from the closing seconds of 'Sundown,' I can't even speculate what's going to happen next, and I love that.

Sayid was the focus of the episode, both on the island and in the rewritten beta-verse reality. In both of them he seems to be fighting a darkness within himself. It was certainly the darkest flash-sideways we've seen yet.

Although Emilie de Ravin and Robert Pattinson shared good chemistry in the romantic drama 'Remember Me,' de Ravin said it was difficult working with the 'Twilight' star because of the public scrutiny his immense fame brings, she revealed on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC).

"It was challenging at times, because when you've got that many eyes on you ... and you're just trying to figure out a rehearsal, you just become so self-conscious of that," de Ravin said.

(S06E05) Jack took center stage this week, in more ways than one. The character of Jack has always been frustrating to me, and I've realized it's because he's so well written and well-rounded. With many of the characters, you can safely anticipate their behavior, but Jack has thrown in a few surprises along the way.

Yes, his default setting seems to be stubborn, bull-headed anger, but we see enough of the introspective and thoughtful Jack that it's frustrating to see him succumb so completely to that mule side of his personality. Through the use of the Jack story we saw in tonight's flash-sideways, we actually got to witness both versions of Jack in one episode.

Ah, Season Four. You were so good to us, even though you were slightly shorted by that pesky writers strike. Lost wasn't as impacted as a lot of other shows because the creators had already gotten the okay to do three shorter seasons before any of this happened. Sure they lost a little bit of time, but not enough to have really impacted the show.

And Season Four gave us such pivotal moments. The introduction of the freighties, including some really good and interesting characters. The return of Michael. The identities of the Oceanic Six. An in-depth examination of what happened to them after the island in more flash forwards. The man in the cabin. Ben moves the island. And the identity of the man in the casket. So much happened in fourteen short episodes, but still that's not enough. To fill out the set, we've got two full discs of extras.

(S04E10) The writers gave us a break after last week's action- and information-packed episode. While Jack struggled with appendicitis, we got another look at his future off the island. Three of the other members of the Oceanic Six turned up, and Jack learned that there's no escaping a love triangle. Back on the island, Claire had an unexpected visitor.

(S04E09) What a brilliant episode! At this point, I think all future Lost episodes should be either Ben-, Sayid-, or Desmond-centric. This episode had it all: tons of action, several big revelations, and more questions to ponder. Michael Emerson gave yet another award-worthy performance this week and showed off his action hero side.

(S04E08) We're going into a five-week Lost hiatus, and I'm extremely thankful that this wasn't the season finale. "Meet Kevin Johnson" wasn't a bad episode, but I couldn't have waited until 2009 for a follow-up. This episode did have its moments. We learned more about the island's connection to its inhabitants, Michael's time on the mainland, and there was (at least) one death. That should keep us busy for the next month or so, right?

(S04E07) Well, that episode was a real tearjerker. This week on Lost, we met a few more members of the freighter crew, Sun had second thoughts about joining Team Jack, and Bernard got a little screen time. We finally got a look at Ben's inside man on the freighter, too. Things are starting to get weird on the freighter, and I'm beginning to wonder if Sayid and Desmond were safer back on the island.

(S03E15) Some Lost episodes are stand-alone pieces of the show's mythology. Others are pieces of a larger puzzle, filling in gaps from past episodes and setting the stage for future episodes. "Left Behind" definitely falls into the second category. More of Kate's past was revealed, and new island loyalties were formed in what I am sure is a build-up to an Others-Survivors showdown (fingers crossed).

Emilie de Ravin, who plays Claire on Lost, married her longtime boyfriend on June 19. Her new husband is Josh Janowicz, who has had roles in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and The Chumscrubber. The couple met in 2000 when they both arrived (presumably from different places) in Los Angeles. They became engaged on New Year's Day in 2005.
