'Shameless' Season 1, Episode 12 (Season Finale) Recap
by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 28th 2011 6:40AM
['Shameless' - 'Finale']After twelve weeks of 'Shameless' enjoyment, we have, alas, reached the season finale of this ridiculously addictive show, and now our Sundays will be bereft of car theft, inadvisable sex, baby-stealing minors, and so many shots of William H. Macy's bare behind that the supermoon pales in comparison (unless you have a very colorful social life, I suppose). But what a ride these past three months have been ...
There's plenty of pressure on a season finale, which has the unenviable task of tying up the year's loose ends while unraveling some new ones for Season 2 (yes, the show has already been renewed, yay!). And while the ending wasn't quite as surprising as some of the earlier episodes have been, there was still a lot to love in the season's final hour.
Emmy Rossum Reveals the Secrets of a Safe Sex Scene on 'Chelsea Handler' (VIDEO)

Apparently, Emmy Rossum was the first celebrity willing to reveal the secrets of sex scenes to Chelsea Handler. The 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM on E!) host told Rossum that no one has been able to give her a straight answer to a question that's been bothering her for some time."How do you protect yourself from getting penetrated by accident?" she asked.
Fans of Rossum's new Showtime series, 'Shameless,' know full well that the actress has already had plenty of different sex scenes to get this process down to a science.
'Shameless' Confessions: Emmy Rossum Talks About Her Character's 'Crazy' Life

There are a lot of upsides to playing Fiona Gallagher, as far as 'Shameless' star Emmy Rossum is concerned. She gets to act alongside a top-notch cast that includes William H. Macy, who plays ne'er-do-well alcoholic Frank Gallagher, the head of a hardscrabble Chicago family with many kids but little money. The tough, spontaneous Fiona, who assumed much of the responsibility that Frank abandoned, is not remotely like the "princessy" roles she's played in the past, Rossum noted.
"I get cast 'princessy' a lot, and this is so down and out and edgy and not princessy. I really, really enjoy it. This is much more fun," said Rossum. "As an actor, it's very liberating to not have hair and makeup."
'Shameless' Stars Talk Drinking, Secrets, Love Interests & More (VIDEO)

Have you had a chance to catch 'Shameless' (Sundays, 10PM ET on Showtime)? If not, maybe the charming cast will convince you to give it a shot.

I caught up with stars William H. Macy (who plays drunk patriarch Frank Gallagher), Emmy Rossum (who plays his oldest daughter Fiona) and Justin Chatwin (her "stage-five clinger" of a boyfriend) to talk all about the Gallagher family dramas. Yes, you could say they're unconventional. And sure, their lives teeter on depressing every now and then. But there's more funny than sad, and you can't deny that the attitudes of the characters -- much like the stars themselves -- really win you over.
Watch to get a sneak peek at what's to come for Fiona and Steve -- including some more lies, some cheating and a little physical violence -- and Frank and his lady love, played by the fabulous Joan Cusack.

Emmy Rossum Complains About 'Shameless' Co-Star's Intentionally Bad Breath (VIDEO)

According to Emmy Rossum, knowing an actor prior to working with them doesn't necessarily make things easier. This is especially the case with friend Justin Chatwin, who plays her love interest on 'Shameless,' she said on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS).Emmy Rossum Got a Black Eye From a Drunk Girl on New Year's Eve (VIDEO)

When actress Emmy Rossum started talking about her Las Vegas New Year's Eve adventure on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC), we couldn't help but think of MTV's popular reality show, 'Jersey Shore.' Then she name-dropped the show herself and we couldn't have been more delighted.Apparently, her friends "accepted an invitation on my behalf," according to Rossum, and she found herself at the Coldplay and Jay-Z New Year's Eve bash in Vegas.
As Rossum was being very reserved and well-composed, Jimmy Fallon had to try and pull more information out of her. Finally, she casually admitted, "I have a little bit of a black eye, actually."
'Shameless': Drunken Dad Interrupts Intimate Moment (VIDEO)

In the mid-season premiere of 'Shameless' (Sun., 10PM ET on SHO) -- the Chicago-set black comedy adapted from the U.K. series -- Fiona (Emmy Rossum) has made a new, er, friend. And they're getting to know each other. Really getting to know each other.Things are getting hot and heavy when there's a knock on the door. She stumbles upstairs; he answers the door, shirtless and panting.
It's the cops. They drag in a drunken man who has peed on himself. Who's the loser? Her father (William H. Macy).
William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum Are 'Shameless' in New Trailer
by Jean Bentley, posted Oct 20th 2010 7:00PM
When Hollywood remakes perfectly good -- or, in the case of 'Shameless,' perfectly amazing -- shows, they don't often turn out the same caliber as their originals. But, judging from the first trailer for the new Showtime version of the popular British series 'Shameless,' that might not be the case here. William H. Macy stars as the drunken patriarch of a large, working-class family, with Emmy Rossum as his eldest daughter (and the main source of order in the household). Watch the trailer after the jump.
