'Arrested Development' and 'Retried at 35' star Jessica Walter is heading to CBS's 'The Big Bang Theory' for a guest role.

According to TVLine, Walter will play Barbara, a donor whose grant to the science department hinges on Leonard. Walter will also reprise her role on FX's 'Archer' this season.

'West Wing' veteran Josh Malina will also appear in the February episode as university president Arlo Seibert.

In other casting news ...

• Melora Hardin is returning to 'The Office' as Jan. Hardin will appear in a number of episodes, the first one airing in February. In the episode titled 'Threat Midnight,' Michael Scott finishes his screenplay and films it. Hardin's character Jan plays Jasmine. [TV Guide]

• Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey will guest on 'Hawaii Five-0.' In the February episode, Minnillo will play Susan, a deckhand whose cruise ship is taken hostage by pirates. Lachey will play her fiancee, Tyler. [PEOPLE]

• Adrian Pasdar is heading to 'Castle.' The 'Heroes' star will play an Eric Fallon, an FBI agent who assists the NYPD during a terrorist threat. Look for Pasdar in the Feb. 21 and 28 episodes. [TVLine]

Sometimes, it's hard to let go of the past. And sometimes, there's a good reason for that. On 'Lie to Me' (Mon., 8PM ET on Fox), Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) tries to treat a new client who is scarred by memories of what he's done. The client in question is an Iraq War veteran named Sgt. Jeff Turley (played by Enver Gjokaj). Sergeant Turley is tormented by his recollections of the war. But what actually happened over there?

[Spoiler alert.]

(S02E11) This was an episode that went from zero to sixty in under a second. So much was thrown at the viewer in both backstory and current happenings that everybody watching was suffering from dizziness and possibly nausea. But it was the good kind of nausea.

It's a fair bet that this episode and the subsequent ones were written (or re-written) after learning that the series wouldn't be renewed. Alternatively, perhaps Joss saw the signs in advance having worked in television for so long. After the jump, the real spoilers of the episode will be discussed. Those who wish to remain unspoiled can move along.

(S02E10) I KNEW IT! I knew Adelle was faking it. It's classic Whedon. If anyone is operating on an apparent motive, then their true motives tend to be the opposite. How will she reconcile with Topher? Even if she was faking it, it would have been easy to not give Rossum the keys to the Kingdom. Did she figure that Rossum would eventually discover the technology anyway? Was she betting on Echo?

When Echo first appeared in the snow with the tree in the background, it seemed like she was trapped in Narnia. I was half-expecting Aslan to walk up and start talking to her.

Please note that since we've learned that Rossum is the evil sort of corporation that permeates science fiction, this make Laurence Dominic a good guy now. It's a good thing November killed Sierra's rapist of a handler rather than Adelle putting him in the Attic. Adelle must be feeling at least a little guilty regarding putting Dominic there.

At first, I couldn't tell if the shadowy figure was named Arcade or Arcane (it's the latter). This is before he became Clyde.

(S02E09) Adelle has really begun her descent into Hell, hasn't she? I haven't seen a turn this bad since Angel lost his soul in Buffy Season 2. I wonder if she feels a twinge of jealousy that Sierra has won "Roger."

Enver Gjokaj should get his own show. Simply his "goodbye" to Sierra when he was about to be released had me in stitches. At the same time, it somewhat broke my heart when Sierra sat at the dinner table waiting for Victor to join her.

Admittedly, the show wasn't clear on the exact circumstances that brought Sergeant Anthony Ceccoli to the Dollhouse. Near as I can tell, he was a soldier in either Iraq or Afghanistan (or both) and he joined the Dollhouse to escape the war. He obviously underwent shellshock or some such trauma. Did he go AWOL? Usually when people join the Dollhouse they're running from something. The exception to this is Priya who was the victim of a scumbag who couldn't take "no" for an answer.

(S02E03) It looks like the production schedule had this one slated to be the second episode of the season, rather than the third. It was a little odd how much time was spent in showing Ballard getting used to the complete process in turning a Doll into an Active. I kept thinking, "He was fine with last week's mommy engagement?" Knowing that this was intended to be the first episode after he took on the role as her Handler makes more sense.

It also means FOX is screwing around with Whedon's intended schedule on his show ... again! I can't understand how network executives think narrative flow between episodes means nothing. Do they think that fans are so stupid we can't follow a thread between episodes, nor will we notice when things are out of whack?

This would probably have worked better as a second episode anyway, because it got a little more into the technology behind the Dollhouse, as well as how it can go wrong.

(S02E02) So, um, what happened? Dollhouse came back last week and posted its lowest ratings to date. It's a shame, because the show continues to find its footing. What was impressive this time was that the episode was compelling and dramatic, and it had virtually nothing to do with the overall story-arc for the series.

Just like some of the best episodes of The X-Files were "monster-of-the-week" installments, this "imprint-of-the-week" chapter was simply brilliant. It explored the full capabilities of the Dollhouse technology, where we got our first hint that Topher's genius can sometimes push him to doing things he shouldn't. At least not without testing. It's this character flaw that led to his failures in "Epitaph One."

(S01E13) This episode of Dollhouse never actually aired on Fox, and in fact, it's not going to. I'm not sure why, though, because I thought it was fantastic. Yes, it was a dramatic departure from what had gone before, but despite its unique presentation, it offered some amazing insight into the world of Whedon's Dollhouse, and its future.

"Epitaph One" will be available on the Dollhouse: Season One DVD, available July 28, 2009. It was also screened this past weekend at Comic-Con. Even though I wasn't there, I did manage to get my hands on it, so join me, if you will, for a very spoilery look at the true season finale of Dollhouse.
