Erin and Maksim Get in Trouble With a Judge on 'Dancing With the Stars'Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy remain coy about whether they're dating or not. But on 'Dancing With the Stars,' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), the pair stood together. Judge Len Goodman was not a huge fan of their latest dance. Goodman said this to Andrews: "I've given you a '7' every week. ...You're going to get another '7' tonight." Chmerkovskiy did not seem pleased, and threw part of his costume in the direction of the judges' table. (Read what the stars had to say in our performance report.)

(S10E10) With Kate Gosselin gone from 'Dancing with the Stars,' the show can finally get to actual competition. by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 16th 2010 7:04AM
Erin Andrews and Maks on 'Chelsea Lately'It's what everyone wants to know: Are Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy more than just 'Dancing' partners? They didn't outright deny a "hot romance" on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show' yesterday. Comedienne Chelsea Handler tried her best -- in not-so-subtle language -- to get the pair confessing on 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!).

'Dancing with the Stars' - 'Performance #3' Recap

by Michael Pascua, posted Apr 13th 2010 1:34AM
Jake trips on Dancing with the Stars(S10E06) The format of 'Dancing with the Stars' continues to borrow from other reality shows by creating different themes each week. This week the contestants will be scored by both technique and performance. The scores are still out of a 30. For the rumba and the tango, the judges will be looking for three specific dance moves.

As the couples walk down the stairs, Maks tries to signal someone by tugging his ear and almost trips down the stairs. Kate continues to tell her children that she loves them via bad hand signs.

I had a problem with Brooke tonight. Not only did the crossing ribbons on her midsection make her look fat, was she pronouncing celebrity names incorrectly? Luckily, the filler this week were very interesting demos from professionals that didn't make the cut this season.

Why Are So Many Creeps Drawn to Erin Andrews?

by Joel Keller, posted Apr 5th 2010 7:28PM
Erin Andrews on 'Dancing With The Stars'There are plenty of attractive women on TV. Hundreds, in fact. But it seems that, through no actions of their own, some of those women get more undue attention than others. Currently, Ivanka Trump, Kathryn Erbe and Audrina Patridge are all dealing with their own stalker issues, and I'm sure there are more that we're not hearing about publicly.

But these cases, as scary as they are, feel like small potatoes compared to what's happening with ESPN's Erin Andrews, who is also currently a contestant on 'Dancing With The Stars.' An advanced kind of creep seems to be drawn to her.

Last week, just after the creep who took video of her changing through a hotel peephole last summer was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, we're now hearing that since September, Andrews has been receiving death threats that have been e-mailed into 'The Dan Patrick Show' on DirecTV. The threats were at first sexual in nature, according to the AP, but soon turned threatening. The threats have also mentioned the pervert who got caught for the peephole videos.

Erin Andrews Argues With 'Dancing With the Stars' Partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 26th 2010 5:06PM
Erin Andrews Fights with 'Dancing with the Stars' Partner Maskin ChmerkovskiyOn the latest episode of 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Erin Andrews talked about some problems that she's been having with her 'Dancing With the Stars' partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. First, there's the small issue of his accent. While talking about their dancing training, Andrews said, "And you're all flustered ... and he's like 'Give me your hand.' And I'm like, 'Here!' And he's like 'Your hand!' And I'm like, 'Here!' ... And he's like 'Your head!'" "How am I supposed to know," Erin said to Chmerkovskiy, "between your accent or not?" We can see how that could be a problem.

But then Chmerkovskiy rebuts Andrews. "She's doing an impersonation of a Frenchman. I don't speak like [that]." And on top of that, she thinks he's from Russia when he's really from the Ukraine. "You're giving me geography lessons, [now]," Andrews said.

Ah, dancing. It is difficult. But we still feel the unspoken love flowing between the partners. Check out the full video to see the love/hate dynamic in action.

'Dancing With the Stars': Who Waltzes Away With a Win?

Pamela AndersonIt's that time again. The celebrities have been gathered from across the sports and entertainment spectrum to show off their ballroom skills (or lack thereof) on season 10 of 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., March 22, 8PM ET on ABC).

This year, there aren't any outsized fan bases among the participants, as there was last season with Donny Osmond, who took home the show's mirror-ball trophy over competition that was a little more polished on the dance floor. Hopefully, that means the results will be decided more by dance ability than popularity. Here's how we rank the season 10 contestants and their odds of winning:

New Cast for 'Dancing With the Stars' Revealed

by Michael Pascua, posted Mar 2nd 2010 8:00AM

Kate GosselinThe celebrity cast of 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 10 has been announced. ABC wisely trimmed the cast down from 16 to 11. Hopefully this will get rid of the unnecessary double eliminations.

On paper, this season's cast feels like the celebrities have a higher caliber. They are at least closer to B-listers than just washed-up celebrities. This balances out the reality TV stars that stretch the definition of "Star." I have come to terms with the fact that Kate Gosselin will end up on my television in one way or another with the excuse that she's doing it for her kids. The full list after the jump.

Jillian Reynolds thinks Erin Andrews is "hot" - TCA Report

by Joel Keller, posted Jul 30th 2009 6:02AM
Jillian and Grant ReynoldsAfter Monday's Fox Reality panel on the new show Househusbands of Hollywood, I decided to ask Jillian Reynolds about her take on the Erin Andrews peephole fiasco. Her responses surprised me a bit, mainly because she's been in the sports reporting world as much as anyone, but she was still surprised that something like that would ever happen.

"She's gorgeous. People want to look at her. She's hot," says Reynolds. Still, it's no excuse. "This was obviously an inside job; someone knew her schedule. That's kinda creepy. I worked for the NFL for ten years, and I trust everyone there implicitly. And for that trust to be broken is kinda creepy."

ESPN bans New York Post over Erin Andrews peephole photos

by Joel Keller, posted Jul 23rd 2009 6:00PM
Erin Andrews: Post reporters banned from ESPN over peephole photosI wouldn't say that we here at TV Squad have been purposefully silent about this Erin Andrews peephole mishegas; there's just been more interesting stuff going on. It seemed like a small, albeit creepy, story on the surface: popular sideline reporter and object of the blogosphere's affection gets shot naked in her hotel room through a peephole.

Without a doubt, it's a depressing story, both for Andrews, whose privacy was violated on many levels, and for the sports blogosphere, who have to endure yet another accusation that their frat boy shenanigans helped foster this kind of behavior. But it was still a small story. That was, of course, until The New York Post decided to make the oh-so-classy move of publishing stills of the video in print and on their website.

Now it's getting serious: ESPN has banned all Post reporters from appearing on any of their shows.

The spelling bee kids don't need the pressure of prime time

by Joel Keller, posted May 29th 2009 1:07PM
Spelling Bee winner Kavya ShivashankarFlipping around last night, I caught the last half-dozen or so rounds of the National Spelling Bee on ABC. It was all there in primetime glitz and glory: bright lights, flashy ESPN graphics that show the participants' best finish in previous bees, the lovely Erin Andrews prowling the backstage area, and Tom Bergeron making lame quips during the "play by play."

It was quite a slick production. Then I remembered something: They're kids.

I mean, they're under enough pressure as it is, and it's not always from the competition itself (ever see Spellbound, the movie that spurred the bee's popularity? Some of those parents were pretty harsh). Why add to the pressure by having them try to spell these difficult words on live primetime television?
