Message from Evel Dick, Eviction and New Head of Household on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 15th 2011 1:57AM
It was a jam-packed hour of 'Big Brother' (Thu., 9PM ET on CBS) as Julie Chen presented the Houseguests with a message from Evel Dick and put Daniele in an awkward position. And all of this before the live Eviction and HOH competition.Dick's message didn't offer any more details to what we already knew, which was that he left for a personal emergency not directly involving his immediate family. He apologized to Daniele for not getting to spend the summer with her, saying, "We seem to get along the best when we're on 'Big Brother' playing together, and that's a big loss in my life."
A Sudden Disappearance Leads to Chaos and Panic on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 14th 2011 1:47AM
The veterans of 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) were riding high and feeling good after Rachel became the first Head of Household, assuring safety for her and Brendan, and giving them the ability to nominate another couple for elimination.Outnumbered eight-to-six, they nevertheless put their plan into motion, nominating Keith and Porsche. Even the addition of the Golden Key -- granting the non-eliminated, nominated partner immunity until ten houseguests remain -- did nothing to sway their swagger.
But one call to the Diary Room changed all that.
'Big Brother 13' Kicks Off With Returnees, Coupling and Twists (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 8th 2011 3:42AM
The producers of 'Big Brother 13' (Thu., 9PM ET on CBS) definitely found a way to make these first few weeks of the season more compelling and interesting. And we're not even talking about the twist of returning houseguests to stir things up.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
In fact, this 13th Season Premiere featured two twists that left the eight new players with eight jaws hanging on the ground. The first twist threw opening strategies out the window, and the second one threw elimination strategies out the window. Now no one really knows what to do.
Big Brother 11: HOH #11 part one finish, HOH #11 part two
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 11th 2009 12:29AM

(S11E28) They say to "expect the unexpected" on Big Brother 11. Well, tonight showed that the viewers can expect an unexpected scheduling of events. Here I was expecting to see the hamsters dwindled down to two tonight. But that wasn't to be the case. However, I did expect Kevin to dress up all spiffy and funky. Sure enough, he did. He had matching red sneakers to complete the outfit.
Big Brother 9: PoV Competition #7
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Mar 26th 2008 7:25AM

(S09E21) You know Big Brother 9 isn't the best of seasons when Evel Dick, winner of BB8, comes across as a breath of fresh air! I do think that the season picked up a bit more steam when they dropped the couplings and the "'Til Death Do You Part" bit from the title. But the damage was already done. They started the season with some odd half-cocked porno theme, condoms in a bowl and all, then backed off when it started bombing. At least we're back to the game of Big Brother.

Seven notable villains of reality television
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 24th 2007 11:05AM
It's no secret that I'm a fan of the reality television genre. I think why I'm enamored with reality television on the whole is because I'm a people-watcher type of person. Sort of like Sylar on Heroes, I like to see what makes people tick. And what better television medium is there to watch them tick, scheme, plan, and more than the reality genre? For me, the villains come in two categories -- the few whose appearances on the shows I've just outright loved because they were thoroughly entertaining even though devious and sneaky, then the ones who irked me to no end and I wanted them to go away.
I don't watch every show out there, but here are my sinister seven of reality television. After all, Spider-Man had his Sinister Six ... I want seven!
Can't get enough Evel Dick and Daniele?
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 20th 2007 1:51AM
Well, it seems that people just can't get enough Evel Dick. If you're not a fan of Big Brother 8, that sentence might sound just a tad odd. No, I'm not into soft porn although I've heard it can be a fairly lucrative pursuit. But that's not what I'm here for, not at all.I'm here because the folks at TV Tattler have a new interview with both Dick and Daniele Donato, first and second place winners of the recently ended Spool of Lies. The ex-estranged, now just bickering on and off but much closer father and daughter duo answered some of the questions which are in the hearts and minds of the forever faithful Big Brother viewers.
Um, well ... it's kind of a schmaltzy situation, so I feel the need to schmaltz!
Big Brother 8's Evel Dick and Daniele after the win
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 19th 2007 3:21PM
It's the day after the big (and often controversial) Evel Dick Donato first place win on Big Brother 8, as well as his daughter Daniele's second place win. Together, they won $550,000. Not chump change for sure, but I'd like to see this show increase its grand prize to a million like other reality shows of its ilk.Julie Chen interviewed both Dick and his loving Evel Spawn on The Early Show -- the CBS website has an extended version of that interview available online as well as the initial interview itself.
But the kicker is a set of video interviews with all of the houseguests posted by the CBS affiliate in Los Angeles. Those took place in the yard before the wrap party and include such treasures as Amber telling us she taught America it's okay to cry. Yeah, right. [A tip of the hat to commenter OrkMommy for the link to the CBS backyard interviews!]
Big Brother 8: Season Finale
by JJ Hawkins, posted Sep 19th 2007 12:42AM

(S08E33) After 33 episodes of psychologically draining television, Big Brother finally announced a winner tonight, and the results may come as a shock to some people.
Well, they came as a shock to me anyways.
I'm pretty sure most of the reading audience was astute enough to realize this is how things would turn out. Hell, there's probably even a little piece of me that knew this is the way things would turn out, but I didn't want to accept it - couldn't fathom this was even within the realm of possibility.
Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept. 18
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 18th 2007 10:22AM
Tonight, tonight, someone will win Big Brother 8 tonight! BB voice piped through house: "Jackie, knock it off."
But, but ... I thought feeds watchers were allowed to sing! I know the houseguests can't sing because it's considered broadcasting, but I'm sitting here innocently at home!
I have no earth-shattering spoilers for you today as the big news will be the jury vote on tonight's finale. However, there have been some happenings on the feeds which may or may not make it onto the show.
For possible mild gentle spoilers, read on past the jump.
Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept 17
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 17th 2007 4:23PM
There was a new development inside the Big Brother 8 house during last night and well into the wee hours of this morning. But I can't tell you about it. Well, to be more exact, I can't tell you right here about it. Y'see, it may be looked upon as a spoiler and I can't write about spoilers on the main page. If I do, the Spoilers Gods will rescind my license to spoil. I tried to get a license to kill, but the best I could do was get a license to spoil. If that's ever revoked, I will be bereft -- a woman without a cause, a princess without a purpose.
Have I wasted enough space to get the jump? Yes? Good, show spoilers for the finale can be read after the jump. You've been warned.
Big Brother 8: Season Highlights
by JJ Hawkins, posted Sep 17th 2007 12:18AM
(S08E32) We're one episode away from discovering who will win this season of Big Brother, but first, we've got to make it through the obligatory "highlight show".I'm not typically a big fan of recap shows, but this one was a little bit easier to endure because at least half of the sequences shown involved Dick belittling a house guest in one way or another.
While I wasn't a big fan of Dick's underhanded tactics, I have to admit that it made for some interesting, albeit uncomfortable television. Had Dick been eliminated early in the competition, this season would have ranked among one of the worst and judging from the comments in the posts this season, quite a few of you agree.
Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept. 16
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 16th 2007 7:36PM
While tonight's Big Brother 8 show will be a taped recap kind of show, the 24/7 live feeds have been the real and current deal. Now, mind you, that doesn't mean that it's been sit on the edge of your seat excitement with just the Donatos in the house since Thursday night. But in the wee hours of this morning, after the ShoToo feeds ended, we had what will probably be the most exciting news until next season on the real feeds. Oh, I don't mean we saw it, but we definitely witnessed the aftermath. Although blocked to the feeds, the jury questioning started at midnight Eastern Time.
For show spoilers, read on past the jump!
Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - Sept. 15
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 15th 2007 10:26PM
Yes, until the Donatos leave the Big Brother 8 house, I am so there! I live for the feeds and RealNetworks once again makes makes feed withdrawals an unnecessary trauma in my life! Once the feeds end, they're going to start them up all over again just like they did last year. Rerun feeds, what a marvel of modern technology, eh?Okay. You caught me. I'm being sarcastic. I will technically keep the feeds because I use the music download credit each month. But, no. I won't be rewatching the BB8 season.
There hasn't been a heck of a lot happening in the house with just the final two there, but jury questioning is coming soon. I'll give you the lowdown after the jump. At this time, very mild show spoilers ahead.
Big Brother 8: Final HOH Comp - Final Eviction
by Jackie Schnoop, posted Sep 14th 2007 5:20PM
(S08E31) Possibly the most controversial season of Big Brother is winding down, going out as controversial as it came in this year. We've had a rollercoaster ride with the houseguests this season. And, as tonight's three-part competition for Head of House was fought out by the remaining three houseguests -- Evel Dick, Daniele, and Zach -- the controversy just kept coming at us.
We last left them in the backyard, standing on carrot-stumps, jumping a bunny. Of course, there has been a lot of talk about the show jumping the shark this season, but that's a whole 'nuther story.
