Rachael Ray Gets a New Catchphrase on Funny or Die (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted May 23rd 2011 5:30PM
Does Rachael Ray need a new catchphrase? Probably not, but the good folks at Funny or Die tried to find one for her anyway in a new video, which received its "world premiere" today on 'Rachael Ray' (weekdays, syndicated). The video featured actors playing marketing folks tossing out ideas for Ray's new catchphrase while Ray batted them down, one by one. Some of the contenders? "Where's the beef?" "Mmm mmm goody foodie scrumptious time, I'm Rachael Ray, let's have dinner soon because my tummy is a-growling and it's already eight o'clock." Also, just the word "catchphrase."
In the end, Ray came up with the winner herself. "Shove It" is her choice, and it appeared with Ray's smiling image on the Jumbotron in Times Square at the end of the video. In the image, Ray is holding a bunch of carrots. We prefer "goody foodie scrumptious time."
FunnyOrDie Video Features 'SNL' Presidents Reunion
by Chris Harnick, posted Mar 3rd 2010 5:30PM
Holy 'Saturday Night Live' presidents reunion, Batman! FunnyOrDie.com is famous for its riotous celebrity videos, but this one featuring current star Fred Armisen and 'SNL' veterans like Will Ferrell, Dana Carvey, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, Darrell Hammond and Maya Rudolph, as well as an over-the-top performance by Jim Carrey, may take the cake.
In a dream, Armisen's Barack Obama is visited by Hammond as President Clinton, Carvey as President Bush Sr., Aykroyd as President Carter, Chase as President Ford, Ferrell as President Bush Jr and Carey as President Reagan.

Tim Allen is Douglas Fir in the new Disney movie Arbor Daze
by Bob Sassone, posted Jan 6th 2010 3:01PM
Funny or Die has become one of the top destinations where TV and movie stars can go to make fun of themselves. Tim Allen spoofs himself and Disney films in general with this trailer for the fake movie Arbor Daze. From the plot to the narration, this is all too real.
Hey, we've already had a movie where Michael Keaton comes back to life as a snowman, so is this so far-fetched?

Can you count the Kramers? I couldn't
by Danny Gallagher, posted Nov 17th 2009 5:02PM
Hey there gentle TV Squad reader! Have you got nothing but time on your hands right now? Do you need a healthy activity to occupy your time? Have you completely lost the will to go on living? Then put down that suicide cocktail and pick a pen or pencil for this "Kramer Counting" challenge!
Someone at Funnyordie.com has compiled all of Cosmo Kramer's entrances from all 174 episodes of Seinfeld into one viral video. I've tried counting them and got three different totals on three different tries. See if you can count the number of entrances. As an added challenge, the only rule I made for myself is that they must include the actual Kramer played by Michael Richards coming through the door, not the guy playing Kramer on Jerry's show-within-a-show, Jerry. I also counted scenes where someone is opening the door for Kramer but not the final scene were Kramer is running out the door.
I gave up during the fourth try since my eyes completely melted out of their sockets, a sign that I should really stop doing something. The same thing happened when I tried to do a review of Michael Strahan's Brothers.

Zach Galifianakis interviews Conan and Andy (between two ferns)
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 17th 2009 2:03PM
Conan O'Brien is a better interviewee than interviewer, as this "Between Two Ferns" interview with Zach Galifianakis shows. He and Andy Richter sat down to chat with Galifianakis at FunnyorDie.com and they touch on everything from The Tonight Show to whether or not Conan touches himself while watching himself. It seems to be all scripted but it's funny (not die). There's a surprise guest star too.
Did you know that Brooke Shields' eyelashes are funny?
by Allison Waldman, posted Oct 9th 2009 10:02AM
Have you seen the Brooke Shields' commercial for Latisse? Were you as confused by it as I was? It sounded like a cosmetics commercial, which I think was the idea. They soft-sold the whole pharmaceutical angle because of the side effects. After all, getting longer eyelashes is worth risking red and itchy eyes, or "eyelid skin darkening," isn't it? Generally speaking, I like Brooke. I watched Suddenly Susan. I even watched Lipstick Jungle. But I don't like this commercial, even if she's endorsing the best eyelash growing stuff in the world. The way it's put together is deceptive. It looks and sounds like she's selling eye makeup, which she's not.
So what's Baywatch's Nicole Eggert up to?
by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 8th 2009 8:06AM
Full disclosure: back in the day, Baywatch was a guilty pleasure of mine.
Having said that, I certainly don't want it to return, either as a TV show or a big screen movie or a video game or even a set of glassware. But I do like this Funny or Die video below, which shows the return of Nicole Eggert. Hey, she still looks OK to me!

Casey Wilson: all she wants to do is dance!
by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 16th 2009 8:03AM
So Casey Wilson is gone from Saturday Night Live. I don't think she was a good fit there, but I have no doubt she'll turn up some place else and do just fine. This video from Funny or Die is actually pretty amusing. It's called "Charla Loves To Dance" and features Casey trying to find other people dance with at a bar. I wonder if she wanted to do this on SNL and it got voted down?
Tiffani Thiessen has a sh*t ton of stuff to do and can't go on Late Night
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 29th 2009 3:30PM
Just the other day I was wondering what was up with Tiffani (no Amber) Thiessen. And now we know. She's so busy she can't do that damn Saved By The Bell reunion on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, so don't ask her anymore, OK? She has a live-action cat comedy to direct!
John Oates teams up with his mustache to battle evil (or something)
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 22nd 2009 5:29PM
I had forgotten about J-Stache. It's been several months since we first heard about it. But now FunnyorDie.com has the trailer for the web show. It's about Hall & Oates' John Oates and his mustache (yes, you heard me right). They team up to battle evil and score chicks. It's all done like a 70s cartoon. I think the part that had me laughing out loud in this trailer below is when Geraldo Rivera shows up.

Fake Kate answers fake Jon on fake Match.com
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 13th 2009 11:24AM
We've already shown you the FunnyorDie.com video that shows "Jon Gosselin" and his Match.com profile video. You knew it was just a matter of time before "Kate" got her response. This probably works better if you watch Jon & Kate Plus 8, but I don't watch it and I still found it funny.
Jon Gosselin goes on Match.com (via FunnyorDie.com, that is)
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 2nd 2009 4:33PM
This is pretty funny: Funny or Die has created a Match.com video for Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin. Now that he's going to be free from Kate, he's looking for a date. Didn't mean for that to rhyme.
The funniest part is the screen name they give Jon.
