Larry Platt Brings 'Pants on the Ground' to 'The View' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Jan 19th 2010 10:01AM
'American Idol' hopeful "General" Larry Platt performed 'Pants on the Ground' on 'The View' yesterday, and explained how his song against droopy drawers came about.

The spry 62-year-old Platt, who became a sensation after appearing on last week's 'American Idol' auditions, looked as dapper as ever as he rapped in front of 'The View's' studio audience, then took a moment to describe to Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck what inspired the song.

It's been less than a day since General Larry's Platt's hysterical performance on the Atlanta auditions of 'American Idol,' and the ladies of 'The View' already have their pants on the ground.

Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck gleefully belted out a refrain from Platt's 'Pants on the Ground,' an original composition which disapproves of low-slung pants and rap/hip-hop fashion in general.
