by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 5:00AM
For Shailene Woodley's twentieth birthday, she got to spend it talking to the press. That's because the day coincided with the Los Angeles premiere of her new film 'The Descendants.' But, George Clooney wasn't going to just let the day go by, as we learned on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!).Whereas many young women might love the idea of George Clooney leading the premiere crowd in a rousing rendition of the 'Happy Birthday' song, Woodley agreed with Chelsea Handler that the moment was best described as embarrassing. We suspect, though, she'll remember it fondly in years to come.

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 6th 2011 3:00AM
George Clooney loves playing pranks on people, and it apparently doesn't matter how venerable you are, or even how old you are. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he detailed a pretty involved prank he played on then 90-year old Walter Cronkite.Cronkite was invited over for a dinner gathering, and Clooney told him they dressed up for it. But when Cronkite came out dressed nicely, he was shocked to see everyone else sitting in their robes. But when he left to change, that's when Clooney's prank really kicked into high gear.
"It took him a while," he said of Cronkite getting changed. "And while he did we all ran upstairs, changed and put on suits."

Colbert Wants George Clooney to Invite Him for Skinny Dipping (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 5:00AM
Is it too much to ask George Clooney to invite you over to their place so you can take off all your clothes and go skinny dipping? It sounds weird, but on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), Stephen Colbert only got upset about his lack of invite after hearing about all the other political pundits who've already done it."You're a middle-aged pundit-chaser," Colbert said of Clooney. "Well I'm 47. Challenge my masculinity. I will drop trou' and scramble over any fence. There doesn't even have to be any water there."
Clooney is famously active in politics, so maybe he should consider inviting all the Republican presidential candidates over for his next naked swim party. All the political pundits will already be there, so they'll be able to provide first-hand coverage -- though go light on the details, please.
