George Clooney Embarrassed Shailene Woodley on Her Birthday (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 5:00AM
Shailene Woodley, 'Chelsea Lately'For Shailene Woodley's twentieth birthday, she got to spend it talking to the press. That's because the day coincided with the Los Angeles premiere of her new film 'The Descendants.' But, George Clooney wasn't going to just let the day go by, as we learned on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!).

Whereas many young women might love the idea of George Clooney leading the premiere crowd in a rousing rendition of the 'Happy Birthday' song, Woodley agreed with Chelsea Handler that the moment was best described as embarrassing. We suspect, though, she'll remember it fondly in years to come.

George Clooney Talks About Pranking 90-Year Old Walter Cronkite (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 6th 2011 3:00AM
George Clooney, 'Late Show with David Letterman'George Clooney loves playing pranks on people, and it apparently doesn't matter how venerable you are, or even how old you are. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he detailed a pretty involved prank he played on then 90-year old Walter Cronkite.

Cronkite was invited over for a dinner gathering, and Clooney told him they dressed up for it. But when Cronkite came out dressed nicely, he was shocked to see everyone else sitting in their robes. But when he left to change, that's when Clooney's prank really kicked into high gear.

"It took him a while," he said of Cronkite getting changed. "And while he did we all ran upstairs, changed and put on suits."

Elisabetta Canalis was the second contestant voted off 'Dancing With the Stars,' but the Italian actress is still in good spirits. On 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) she reflected on the 'Dancing' experience and thanked her ex-boyfriend George Clooney for standing up for her against a false tabloid report.

"Dancing may not be the best thing I can do in my life, but I had this great opportunity to go to 'Dancing With the Stars,' and I had a great experience, so I can't ask anything more," she said.

Colbert Wants George Clooney to Invite Him for Skinny Dipping (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 5:00AM
'The Colbert Report'Is it too much to ask George Clooney to invite you over to their place so you can take off all your clothes and go skinny dipping? It sounds weird, but on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30PM ET on Comedy Central), Stephen Colbert only got upset about his lack of invite after hearing about all the other political pundits who've already done it.

"You're a middle-aged pundit-chaser," Colbert said of Clooney. "Well I'm 47. Challenge my masculinity. I will drop trou' and scramble over any fence. There doesn't even have to be any water there."

Clooney is famously active in politics, so maybe he should consider inviting all the Republican presidential candidates over for his next naked swim party. All the political pundits will already be there, so they'll be able to provide first-hand coverage -- though go light on the details, please.

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 13th 2011 3:29AM
Roseanne Barr, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Roseanne Barr has admitted she was difficult to work with on the set of 'Roseanne,' but she was also right about its potential as a hit show. She talked to David Letterman on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:37PM ET on CBS) about the "hit list" she compiled of naysayers who didn't believe in the show early in its run.

Barr said of the list, "When this show goes to number one, these are the people who's a**** are gonna be canned." She was proven correct right away as the first season wrapped at number two, and the show hit number one in its second year. As for the people on her list?

"The show went to number one and a year later they were all gone and it was just fantastic!" she said.

Catherine Zeta-Jones on Looking Good for Leading Men (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Mar 15th 2010 1:30PM
Throughout her career, Catherine Zeta-Jones has worked with her fair share of handsome leading men, including Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Antonio Banderas. The only downside is that it puts pressure on her to look good all the time, even at early-morning makeup sessions before filming, she said on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

"The worst thing is... when you're really tired ... and you think of the solace of a makeup room," said Zeta-Jones. "Sitting next to Brad Pitt and George Clooney when you look like you-know-what, it's not nice at 6:00 in the morning. I don't think any woman should have to do it."

Zach Galifianakis: 'George Clooney Says I'm Not Beautiful' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 5th 2010 6:34AM
Jimmy Fallon, Zach GalifianakisAwww ... you are so beautiful, Zach Galifianakis, and don't you believe anything that grumpy old George Clooney tells you. You're both beautiful in your own way. There, all better?

And Jimmy Fallon is right. You've had a great year, and 'The Hangover' was by far the funniest thing to appear on the big screen in 2009.

As for that bit you and Fallon did on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (weeknights, 12:35AM ET on NBC)? We're already attempting to erase that from the hard drive of our brains. You big, beautiful teddy bear.

George Clooney's Bad Hair Days on '20/20' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 3rd 2010 4:35AM
George Clooney's Early Years George Clooney had some dorky looks growing up, and we got to see a lot of them on '20/20: Before They Were Famous' (Tue., 10PM ET on ABC).

He suffered with a bout of Bells palsy as a kid, so we won't comment on the crooked smile (even though it's kind of cute). But if you look at his career from 'Rosanne' to 'Baby Talk' to 'E/R' (not the popular one; the 1984 sitcom), this dude had some baaaaadddd hair days.

But my how things have changed. Some people just get better looking as they get older, and Clooney definitely falls into that category.
