Major Flirting With Gerard Butler and Whitney Cummings on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 3:45AM
The sexual tension hanging in the air during Whitney Cummings' interview on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) was so thick that Jay Leno could barely fight his way through it to get a word in edgewise. It's all Gerard Butler's fault for choosing to stick around for Commings' interview. She immediately perched on his lap and asked if she could do the interview from there. The pair went back and forth cracking jokes about erections, sitting on faces and more before Cummings had to lay down the law.
"Do not fall in love with me," she declared, only to find out that it was too late.
Ellen DeGeneres Gets Gerard Butler to Wear a Kilt With Her Face on It (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 24th 2010 4:58PM
Ellen DeGeneres is really good at embarrassing her guests. Just this past week she made Betty White submit to a male stripper lap-dance. And on the latest episode of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), she made hunky star Gerard Butler put on a kilt. For the record, Butler is actually Scottish and has worn kilts before. Still, he seems a little bemused at DeGeneres' request -- and at the bizarre kilt that she wants him to wear. "It's like the Argentina [flag] with your face on it," he says. To add insult to injury, DeGeneres then gives him a pair of skimpy underwear with her name on it. Yikes!

Gerard Butler Sings on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 24th 2010 10:00AM
Gerard Butler admits he has a penchant for singing everywhere. So, as any good host would do, Jay Leno called him on it last night, asking him for an impromptu performance during his visit to the 'Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).In honor of the Los Angeles location (and several women's squeals from the audience), Gerard rocked out to The Doors' 'L.A. Woman.'
Is he a talented crooner? You decide. Check out the video after the jump.
Gerard Butler and Sofia Vergara Flirt on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 24th 2010 7:00AM

Just what was going on between Gerard Butler and Sofia Vergara last night: chemistry, or just plain fun?
When the two sat with Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Jay mentioned they'd met before.
"Yes," said Sofia, with a toss of her hair.
"That was the weirdest 'yes' I've ever heard," said Gerard.
Sofia responded coyly, "You know why."
They cleared things up for the audience, but the flirting continued. Get the who, what, when, where and -- most importantly -- why after the jump.
Gerard Butler on Jennifer Aniston: She Likes to Party and 'Let It Rip' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 18th 2010 11:30AM
Gerard Butler got revenge on Jennifer Aniston for revealing he has a sweet tooth on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) earlier this week. Butler told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa today that Aniston likes a smoke every now and then, and occasionally tosses back a few drinks and lets loose on the dance floor."She likes a smoke at night," Butler said of his co-star in 'The Bounty Hunter.' "And every now and again ... she likes to let it rip. On the weekends our director would have fun barbeques and she would have a few and get crazy and be on that dance floor."

Gerard Butler Describes His Ideal First Date (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 17th 2010 1:30PM
According to Gerard Butler, his ideal first date involves either a spur-of-the-moment helicopter ride to an exciting destination, or something reminiscent of the Mike Myers film 'So I Married an Axe Murderer,' he said on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM on ABC). Doesn't that sound like fun, ladies?Butler clarified the latter scenario by describing a charming scene from the movie where Myers and Nancy Travis go on a date in San Francisco and use everything they come across as part of their night out.

Jennifer Aniston Watches Gabourey Sidibe Hit on Gerard Butler (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 17th 2010 12:13AM
Jennifer Aniston missed the footage of Gabourey Sidibe hitting on Gerard Butler at the Oscars. But all is well, because she had a chance to watch it on 'Access Hollywood' (weekdays, 12:30PM ET on NBC), while the two were promoting 'The Bounty Hunter' (in theaters Friday). It's pretty funny, too. On the red carpet, Sidibe said, "I kinda said I'd hit that," referring to Butler, who seemed at a loss for words, but managed to choke out, "I'm here. I'm available."
It was awkward, and continued to be awkward when Aniston and Butler watched it back again like deer caught in the headlights. You've gotta hand it to Sidibe, though, who doesn't shirk from anything. "I like where this is goin'," she said. "Maybe we should get a bottle of champagne and see where the night takes us."

Jennifer Aniston Dishes on Gerard Butler's Sweet Tooth (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 15th 2010 12:30PM
Jennifer Aniston appeared today on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) and revealed that Gerard Butler, her co-star in 'The Bounty Hunter,' has a sweet tooth that he struggles with regularly while trying to stay in tip-top shape."He likes sweets. It's really kind of cute. It's just cake, and he just gets so excited," Aniston said, mimicking Butler's Scottish accent. "And then he had this one scene where he comes out in a towel after the shower. So I guess he'd been extra good, and at the end of the day I see Angie, his assistant, walking by with a cupcake."

What's Hot on Inside Movies: Kooky Christmas Capers and More
by Chris Jordan, posted Dec 18th 2009 7:00PM
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas over on Moviefone's Inside Movies. That's because the busy elves over there have re-imagined classic Hollywood movie posters as inappropriate holiday movies. Hey, you looking at the Christmas-themed movie poster for 'Taxi Driver'? Then we have Christmas classics re-imagined as action flicks. Take a gander at Rambo as Scrooge.
Also on Inside Movies, Ivan Reitman confirms that there will be a Ghostbusters 3 and that Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver are on board -- but not in a way you'd might expect.
Review: Saturday Night Live - Gerard Butler/Shakira
by Annie Wu, posted Oct 18th 2009 2:03PM

(S35E04) I remember sitting down and staring at Gerard Butler as he made funny, smarmy faces at the camera. And then I blinked, only to see Butler was thanking the cast and viewers for a wonderful show. I looked on the computer screen. There were half-remembered notes haphazardly tapped out at some point.
Somehow, I had jumped forward ninety minutes. Had I finally mastered short-term time travel? Or did I just watch an incredibly forgettable episode of Saturday Night Live? Probably the latter. However, I vaguely recall a destructive robot adorably struggling through a wall. If that was actually a dream and not real life, please don't tell me.
Leno Weekly: Jamie Foxx, Wanda Sykes & more!
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 9th 2009 6:30PM
Welcome to the inaugural edition of "Leno Weekly." As you may have noticed, there were no daily reviews of The Jay Leno Show this week. We felt that while it was important to cover the show for the first few weeks, the time for daily reviews has passed. NBC had promised that this would be a bold new comedy venture for prime-time network television. It's not. That's not to say that it doesn't have its value or historical significance. Whether it succeeds or fails, it's still a big deal that NBC abandoned scripted television at 10pm. It's kind of like when ABC threw Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on fourteen times a week to prop up their broken schedule a decade or so ago.
For those of you still interested in how the experiment is playing out, "Leno Weekly" will be a weekly roundup of the highlights and lowlights of Leno's primetime show, including clips. For those who don't think The Jay Leno Show deserves any kind of coverage at all on TV Squad ... now you only have one article a week to ignore!
Right now on Cinematical

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their latest musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- When I was younger, I went through weird movie phases. When I was about 10, I decided that I needed to see every single Friday the 13th movie; so I did. Suffice it to say, I'm psyched about An Obsessive-Compulsive's Guide to the Friday the 13th Movies.
- Am I the only one who feels like starring in a movie based on a video game is beneath Gerard Butler? Check out an early review of his upcoming movie, Game, and decide for yourself.
- The film, W., is obviously not a documentary, but while Oliver Stone took dramatic license with the material, he did do extensive research as well. Check out the fact guide for W.
- Do these Hollywood director attack ads make more fun of John McCain, or directors like John Woo and Wes Anderson? More importantly, are they funny?
