Hoda and Giada Are Not Fans of the 'Miranda-rita' on 'Today' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 29th 2011 4:30PM
Hoda Kotb and Giada de Laurentiis don't like Miranda Lambert's History was made on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) when Hoda Kotb found a cocktail she didn't enjoy. It came courtesy of Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annies, who were featured in a pre-taped segment singing while they were making mixed drinks. Back in the studio, Kotb and guest host Giada de Laurentiis tried out the pink drink Lambert had made, called the "Miranda-rita."

"It's got Crystal Light in it," Kotb explained. "And some, uh ... booze." Kotb and de Laurentiis grimaced after tasting the drink. "I don't like it," de Laurentiis said. "Sorry, Miranda." Kotb thought it had too much Crystal Light in it. "If it had less it would be more delicious," she said.

Penny Gets a Scolding But Stays in the Competition on 'Food Network Star' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 11th 2011 6:30PM
'The Next Food Network Star'Penny blew up at her competitor Mary Beth on 'Food Network Star' (Sundays, 9PM on Food Network) Sunday night, and the judges took note. She was scolded in front of the rest of the contestants, but luckily for her, she makes a mean filet mignon kebab and Greek salad wrap, which eventually saved her.

"You know, Penny, if we had to pick one person who has the most animosity towards them, it has to be you," said judge Bobby Flay. Fellow judge Giada De Laurentiis was similarly umimpressed with Penny's attitude, but loved her food. "We are a Food Network family -- you have to get along with people behind the scenes," she said. She also said her wrap was "the best on the truck."

According to a press release, the cable company has reached a deal with Scripps Network Interactive to allow its Food Network and HGTV programming to return to its subscribers, starting today.

Six do-it-yourself TV hotties

by Kristin Sample, posted Nov 27th 2007 8:01AM
Constance Ramos from HGTVAOL TV releases their next ten Sexiest Women of TV this week. I figured I would add some more of my own television hotties to the list. For my list, I decided to pay homage to some of the beautiful hosts of Do-It-Yourself television (networks like Food Network, Fine Living, and The Discovery Channel).

You may think that this list is way too obscure. But these men and women and totally hot and they teach us how to do stuff like make roasted asparagus or build rocking chairs or pick a color scheme for our homes. I think they deserve some attention.

Feel free to add your own favorite Do-It-Yourself Hottie in the comments. (By the way, my picks are in no particular order. I just couldn't choose who I liked the best.)
