'Modern Family' Going Hawaiian
by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 27th 2010 5:36PM
Gidget did it. Elvis had a special there. 'Lost' calls it home. CBS is even bringing it back with a modern take on 'Hawaii Five-O'! Well, the Dunphys, Jay and Gloria, Cam and Mitchell are the latest. That's right, 'Modern Family' is going to Hawaii. It's not a permanent relocation. At the Paley Festival on Friday night in Los Angeles, 'Modern Family' executive producer Steve Levitan revealed that that show is being filmed next week. He explained why the family is all going native, saying, "Jay thinks that he and Gloria are going by themselves for this romantic getaway, and she surprises him by inviting the entire family."
What You Missed Last Night: the world remembers the Taco Bell dog
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 24th 2009 12:27PM
Larry King hasn't done a show about the death of Gidget, the Taco Bell chihuahua. Sure, he can do 20 shows about Michael Jackson but not even one about the famous fast food mascot? Luckily we have Conan O'Brien, who shared this clip on The Tonight Show.
Yet another television icon has fallen: the Taco Bell chihuahua
by Brad Trechak, posted Jul 22nd 2009 7:08PM
There have been a lot of entertainment deaths recently, but none have struck me as much as this one. Gidget, the chihuahua best known as the lead canine in those Taco Bell commercials (Yo quiero Taco Bell!) has passed away at the dog age of 15 (which is around 105 in human years).Gidget apparently suffered from a "stroke" (according to her trainer Sue Chipperton), but there are a few who know the entire truth. The dog raves and dog orgies that Gidget ran, the dog brothel she ran right outside of Las Vegas, the heavy duty dog drug use followed by the usual 4 A.M. Taco Bell run to satisfy the munchies... This was one sick puppy.
Okay, the last paragraph was a bit of a fib. Still, of all the celebrities to pass away recently, Gidget, I shall miss you the most. I shall think of you every time I drop the chalupa.

Gidget the complete series coming to DVD
by Adam Finley, posted Jan 9th 2006 12:26PM
"Wait'll you see my Gidget, you'll want her for your Valentine." Is
that how the theme to Gidget went? It's been awhile since I've seen the show. Of course, I didn't watch
it when it first aired since my hearing and eyesight were kind of bad due to a disease I suffered from called "not
being born yet." At any rate, the complete series of the late sixties show featuring Sally Field in the titular
role comes out in a four-disc set on March 21. Oh yeah, and so does The Flying Nun (first season only). It's a
double shot of Sally. Be sure to drink it in slowly, or you'll get dizzy.TV Squad Hot Topics
