Giuliana Rancic Looks at the Bright Side of Her Fight With Cancer (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Dec 6th 2011 2:45PM
Giuliana Rancic somberly announced Monday on 'Today' that she would be getting a double-mastectomy in her fight against breast cancer. Rancic and her husband Bill stopped by 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) on Tuesday, and tried to look at the bright side of her scary health situation. Rancic talked about the disease and her path forward, and had a few laughs about her treatment and Kim Kardashian's wedding.

As part of Rancic's double mastectomy, which will dramatically reduce the chance of the cancer's recurrence, she'll also be undergoing a breast reconstruction. "I'm doing reconstruction at the same time, so they might come out looking even hotter ... Bill helped pick them out and everything. I'm like, 'Bill, that big, really?' He always said he wasn't a boob man, but that's not true," she joked.

Giuliana Rancic Will Undergo Double Mastectomy in Battle Against Breast Cancer (VIDEO)

Giuliana Rancic, the E! host and star of the reality show 'Giuliana & Bill,' announced Monday on 'Today' that she would be undergoing a double mastectomy in her battle against breast cancer. The surgical procedure is more drastic than the course of treatment she had planned initially, when she told 'Today' in October that she would treat the disease with a double lumpectomy and six weeks of radiation therapy. But after the lumpectomies failed to remove all of the cancer cells, she changed course, and updated viewers on her treatment plan.

Bill said they're both doing okay, and that Giuliana expects to return to work next week. He also thanked viewers at home on her behalf for all their support: "It's definitely helped Giuliana get through this." The two-hour surgery went well and Giuliana is now recuperating at home.

Bill said that although it was "heartbreaking" to see her have to undergo the surgery, "we're looking at this as a gift" because the cancer was detected in the very early stages. He also said it's helped the couple focus on what's important in life.

Sarah Hyland Apologizes to Lea Michele on the Emmys 2011 Red Carpet

by Crystal Bell, posted Sep 18th 2011 8:30PM
Sarah HylandSarah Hyland upset millions of Gleeks on Saturday's 'Fashion Police' when she poked a little bit of fun at 'Glee' starlet Lea Michele and her pouty red carpet poses.

Hyland's seen Michele work her red carpet magic -- and when Joan Rivers asked the young 'Modern Family' star if she could do it herself, Hyland went a little Regina George on Michele.

"So it's like a slow-motion picture kinda thing," Hyland told Rivers. "It's just like, she puts her hands on her hips like this and sticks out her collarbone-I don't know if you can see-she sticks out her collarbone to make her look skinnier and she goes [pouts lips] sticks out her lips."

Seeing as the 'Glee' fans were not impressed, Hyland had to do some damage control on the Emmy Awards red carpet.

Don't Tell, But 'Giuliana & Bill' Are Going to Try Again to Get Pregnant (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 13th 2011 7:06AM
'Giuliana & Bill'Four years after they tied the knot, Giuliana and Bill Rancic returned to the church in Italy where they got married on 'Giuliana & Bill' (Mon., 8PM ET on Style). There, the couple discussed wrapping up their "year of fun" and moving on with the rest of their lives.

"Maybe it's time to kind of start thinking about having a kid again," Giuliana said.

Bill's response was a little odd. "Whatever you want to do, I support," he said. But isn't he supposed to want it as much as she does when it comes to having a baby? That's not an endeavor you support your wife in, it's one you participate and commit to as fully as she does.

Giuliana Cries During Speech at Bill's Surprise Party on 'Giuliana & Bill' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 30th 2011 7:30AM
'Giuliana & Bill'Giuliana Rancic is giving a speech again, except this time it was in a smaller and more intimate venue. She threw a surprise 40th birthday bash for her husband on 'Giuliana & Bill' (Mon., 8PM ET on Style). And while she'd prepared a longer speech, she got too emotional to finish.

She didn't tear up talking about her love for Bill, or his love for her, but rather Bill's love for Chicago and his friends. As the part was scheduled for after his actual birthday, apparently Bill was a little sad.

"Bill never said, 'I want some gift from my mom'," Giuliana said. "It was always, 'I just want to see my friends.' ... Bill loves you guys so much, and he loves Chicago so much, and everywhere he goes in the world he can't ever get Chicago and his friends out of his heart."

Giuliana Rancic Drops the Award She's Presenting to Kara DioGuardi (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 23rd 2011 9:40AM
Kara DioGuardi, 'Giuliana & Bill'Public speaking is a very difficult thing for some people to master. There's something about all those faces staring back at you that can cause your body to freeze and your brain to push the flush lever on everything you were planning to say. We saw it last week on 'Giuliana & Bill' (Mon., 8PM ET on Style) when Giuliana bombed as host of an awards show.

This week, all she had to do was present a Lifetime Achievement Award to her good friend Kara DioGuardi, but nevertheless Bill was nervous for her. We all were.

Giuliana started off shaky, but surprisingly dropping the award turned out to be the best thing that could have happened for her. She got the audience laughing, and that seemed to help her calm down. That and actually getting some laughs for her jokes had to help.

Giuliana Rancic Relives Bombing as Host of the 'Young Hollywood Awards' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 16th 2011 9:20AM
'Giuliana & Bill'Giuliana Rancic clearly isn't as popular with "young Hollywood" as she might have thought. Either that or they don't watch E! News and had no idea who she was. On 'Giuliana & Bill' (Mon., 8PM ET on Style) we got to see her bomb horribly as host of the 'Young Hollywood Awards.'

It was like watching "The Situation" bombing at the Donald Trump roast all over again, except there was at least some sort of reaction from the crowd for the 'Jersey Shore' cast member. It wasn't a positive response, but he at least knew the crowd was there.

Giuliana's 'Domestic Dispute' on 'Giuliana and Bill' (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 9th 2011 2:10AM
Giuliana and BillMore often than not, reality shows can come off sounding like a sitcom gone wrong, and that was definitely the case for 'Giuliana and Bill' (Mon., 8PM ET on Style) tonight, after our leading lady got a little confused over the meaning of the words "domestic dispute."

The couple were debating the merits of opening their new restaurant, Mama DePandi's Pasteria, in Los Angeles, where they currently live, or in Chicago, where Bill thought it would have more chance of success.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic Have Talked About Adopting an Italian Child (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 21st 2011 7:30AM
Giuliana and Bill RancicChelsea Handler jumped right on the rumor floating around that Giuliana and Bill Rancic are about to adopt a baby on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!).

"That story is definitely out there," Giuliana agreed, but she didn't say definitively that this is something they were going to do. She did, though, admit that it was one of several things they were considering, as nothing else has been working and they do want to have children.

Specifically, Giuliana would like to reach back to her own roots. "I'd love to adopt from where I'm from," she said. "I moved from Naples, Italy when I was a little girl and we were there recently, and I thought it would be really special to adopt an underprivileged kid from there."

Handler turned her attention to Bill and asked about his upcoming show, 'America Now,' with Leeza Gibbons. Bill describes it as a "news-you-can-use show," but that's not what Handler was wondering about. Why's he doing a show in LA if he doesn't like it in LA?

"Do you still hate LA?" she asked.

"I don't love it here. But if I'm gonna be here, I might as well make some money, right?" Plenty of people go to undesirable places for jobs, though most people wouldn't consider sunny Southern California so undesirable.

Rancic said that she and her husband have considered many options, including surrogacy, after she suffered a miscarriage and another attempt at fertilization didn't take. "We've considered everything at this point," said Rancic. "Let me tell you something, infertility stinks. It is the worst thing in the world. It has not been a pleasant experience."

However painful and difficult the process has been, Rancic said it has not hurt the marriage. It has actually helped. "Bill and I are stronger than ever because of this," she said.

'2011 Miss USA Pageant''E! News' co-anchor Giuliana Rancic was beside herself with excitement about the fact that the top two contenders for 'The 2011 Miss USA Pageant' (Sun., 9PM ET on NBC) turned out to be best friends. She was co-hosting the event with Andy Cohen of 'Watch What Happens: Live' and kept repeating "they're best friends," until Cohen picked up the call.

Before announcing the eventual winner, Cohen then said the phrase no less than four more times. "I just want to point out that if for any reason the new Miss USA cannot fulfill her duties," he explained with laughter, "Her best friend, the first runner up, is going to take over, okay?"

It made for a bittersweet finale to a night of beauty and talent. Each of the women would be thrilled for the other, but of course each wants that special moment on the stage with the crown and the tears and the sash and the walk. So who took it home?
