The Go-Go's reunited for a farewell tour last summer, which cut short when guitarist Jane Wiedlin fell and hurt herself when combining a hike with an homage to 'Star Wars,' as Wiedlin explained this morning on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM on ABC). The farewell tour was canceled, and now that the reunion is finally happening, the group is working on new music.

"I went on a midnight hiking outing with light sabers and had a light saber battle at the top of a mountain and then when I was coming down the mountain I fell off a cliff," explained Wiedlin. She got a knee replacement out of the experience, and the band got some new creative juice. "Last summer's tour was going to be the farewell tour, this tour is just the, ah, we don't really know what we're doing tour."

The band then showed off its renewed vigor with a version of 'We Got the Beat' that was somehow much more muscular sounding than when the song was first released 30 years ago on the Go-Go's debut album 'Beauty and the Beat.'

When asked if she wanted to be a judge on the show, Carlisle answered, "I really don't know. To be perfectly honest, it's just not my thing. I'd rather listen to music that comes from a more organic place. But you know, I just ... don't know if I would or not."
