Ivanka Trump is sticking up for disgraced former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who on Wednesday was sentenced to 14 years in prison on corruption charges. Blagojevich was a contestant on the last season of 'The Celebrity Apprentice,' and during his sentencing, the judge admonished him for appearing on the reality show while he was out on bail.

On 'Good Day New York,' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) Ivanka said the sentence was too harsh. "Fourteen years seems pretty excessive ... that is one stiff penalty. We'll see what happens, but I am definitely thinking of his family at this point," she told Greg Kelly.

Judy Greer went on 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to talk about her new film 'The Descendants,' but Greg Kelly told her that he liked her best as the voice of Cheryl Tunt on FX's animated series 'Archer.' As she was describing Cheryl's penchant for being strangled during sex, Greg interrupted her with a strange, guttural noise. "That was weird," she joked, as Kelly laughed awkwardly.

Rosanna Scotto stepped in and changed the subject to 'Two and a Half Men.' Greer talked about playing Bridget, Walden Schmidt's ex-wife, who he's still pining for. Kelly seemed to find an on-screen romance between Greer and Ashton Kutcher hard to believe. "Ashton Kutcher is?" he asked incredulously.

Regis Philbin may be retired from 'Live!,' but he's hitting the talk show circuit to talk about his new memoir 'How I Got This Way.' On Wednesday, he stopped by 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) where he reminisced about his days hosting the wildly popular 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' and joked that the show had saved ABC.

Regis recalled his personal crusade to get the British-born game-show on the air in the America. "When I saw that show ... I said this is dynamite, this is great, people walking in from the street and walking out millionaires, if they can only answer 15 questions. It wasn't even on the ABC short-list, they were calling everyone else in town. But I kept pursuing it, pursuing it, and then finally it came my way ... and then it caught on, bigger than I thought it was gonna be."

Mark Consuelos came on 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to talk about his new Fox sitcom called 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter,' and to speculate on who his wife Kelly Ripa's new 'Live' co-host will be.

In 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter,' he plays a Spanish teacher who asks Jaime Pressly's single-mom character Annie out on a date. Greg Kelly was interested in the possible sexual tension on set, and asked, "When you kiss somebody who's not related to you, it's hard to not start feeling something, right?" Consuelos laughed and used his Ripa as an example of how professional on-screen kissing works, saying "She kissed Regis a lot on that show. I can guarantee you she was feeling nothing." Somewhere, the Reeg shed a lonely tear.

Cyndi Lauper visited 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) to talk about the PBS documentary 'PBS Arts from Cleveland: Women Who Rock,' which she hosted. The documentary is a companion to the exhibit 'Women Who Rock, Vision, Passion, Power,' Greg Kelly asked Lauper if she was in the Hall of Fame herself. "I am, in this women's exhibit," she replied. Kelly was outraged at the injustice. "You're like in the Cooperstown Museum, not in the Hall. That is wrong," and Lauper agreed.

In the wake of the Oscars hosting scramble that developed after Eddie Murphy dropped out last week, it was only fitting to get Jane Lynch's take on the drama. As the most recent host of the Emmys, and an openly gay actor in Hollywood, she's in a unique position to comment on the brouhaha.

On 'Good Day New York,' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) Lynch said she's not holding a grudge against former Oscars producer Bret Ranter for his controversial comments that started it all. "I don't think he meant to say that gay people are bad," she said.

Getting lampooned on 'Saturday Night Live' is a rite of passage in Hollywood, a sign that you've arrived as a public figure who's well-known enough to be ripped to smithereens. And part of the deal is that afterwards, you have to maintain that you were flattered by the mockery and found it hilarious.

Kris Jenner demonstrated this principle earlier in the week, and now Dr. and Lisa Oz are saying the same thing, after Bill Hader parodied the TV doctor in a sketch that showed him demonstrating the science of pooping in your pants.

"He could not have been happier. It was like, you know what, I've had a #1 daytime show, but the day he was on 'SNL' that meant he was successful," Lisa told 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox).

Caroline Manzo was driving the crew of 'Good Day New York' (Weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) absolutely crazy with her interview. They were hoping for the same kind of juicy gossip that permeates 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' but she wasn't offering up much.

They even tried to goad her by talking about Teresa Giudice, with whom she had a pretty big falling out during this past season. Manzo admitted the two have a "non-existent" relationship right now, but refused to gossip about Giudice, or her husband in any way.

Theresa Caputo is a "psychic medium" who's the star of a new TLC reality show called 'Long Island Medium.' She's kind of reminiscent of a 'Real Housewife,' except she claims to talk to dead spirits.

Caputo went on 'Good Day NY,' (weekdays, 7AM ET on Fox) where she explained her psychic history, and miraculously determined that host Greg Kelly recently got a creepy note from a guy named Frank.

Well, not really. But she felt the presence of a spirit named Frank, and Kelly offered that he received a strange note from a man of the same name a few days earlier. Maybe Frank died shortly after he penned this mysterious missive? Or maybe the Long Island Medium was just having an off-day...

Tatyana Ali became famous as Ashley on 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,' but Lil' Ash is all grown up now, and Tatyana is starring on 'Love That Girl.' Ali stopped by 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 7AM ET on Fox) to talk about her character Tyana and an upcoming cameo from Jaleel White.

"We have great guest stars this season. [Jaleel White] and I worked together on 'Fresh Prince' and haven't worked together since ... so that was so much fun," she said of White's guest-spot.

William Shatner's interview on 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) got off to a strange start when co-host Greg Kelly's cell phone rang. In typical Shatner style, it only got weirder from there, as he speculated that the basis for his long-running feud with 'Star Trek' co-star George Takei was that Takei was secretly in love with him. For good measure, he also recited a few lines from 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'

Shatner's comments on his feud with Takei probably won't make a reconciliation any more likely. "I don't know whats the matter with him ... he just won't make up. I think secretly he was in love with me, the fact that I kissed him on the lips gently on occasion seemed to inspired him," Shatner said. In his new book 'Shatner Rules,' he writes that he believes Takei couldn't handle not being the one in the 'Star Trek' spotlight.

Aleksa Palladino stopped by 'Good Day NY' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) to talk about her 'Boardwalk Empire' character Angela Darmody, one of the Prohibition drama's most modern women.

"She's sort of a controversial one too, because she has ambitions that are still very unique for the time. She's a painter and she's exploring her own sexuality ... with women and with men," Palladino said, much to the intrigue of host Greg Kelly. "Why haven't I been told about this before?" he asked incredulously.

Many Americans were undoubtedly horrified by the male flasher on 'The X Factor' premiere, but judge Paula Abdul was actually made physically ill by the spectacle. With her stomach settled, she went on 'Good Day New York' (Weekdays, 9amET on Fox) to reflect on the harrowing experience.

Apparently the guy wasn't totally nude, but still, there were bits and pieces flying everywhere. "He had some very loose things that were flailing all over the place," Paula said. "People were leaving the building."

Paula didn't know why the man wasn't arrested for indecent exposure. We're not sure why he wasn't pulled off the stage sooner. Then again, if he was, what would we be talking about today?

La La Anthony said Friday on 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) that she loves New York, and it loves her back, even if parts of it want to imply that her husband has a secret baby. She previewed a bit of 'La La's Full Court Life' and talked about New York embracing her and her husband, Knicks star Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony said that the next episode will deal with the New York media claiming her husband has a secret baby. When asked if there were any truth to the rumor, Anthony said, "Absolutely not." Is she sure? "Positive," she said. "Very positive. Unless you know something I don't know."
