The Boys Dress Up as Women to Help With Breast Exams on 'Good Vibes' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 2nd 2011 7:00AM
MTV isn't exactly known for subtlety with its sexual content, and 'Good Vibes' (Thu., 11PM ET on MTV) has certainly pushed that envelope with its perpetually horny protagonists. In this episode alone, they dart off twice to masturbate. But behind all the dirty jokes was a positive message. When Jeena needed volunteers to help with the free mammogram screening, Mondo and Woodie came up with the brilliant (stupid) idea to dress up as women so they could get hands on.
Unfortunately, they missed any opportunities they might have had to see or feel anything remotely pleasant. They stopped one another when Woodie's sister and Mondo's mom came in, but no one was safe when the kids' teacher rolls in and then her bra lost its battle to contain her breasts.
Woodie Introduces Mondo to California Beach Life on 'Good Vibes' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 28th 2011 2:45AM
Paired up with the return of 'Beavis and Butt-Head' is the new animated series 'Good Vibes' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on MTV). It's the story of Mondo, an overweight teen from New Jersey who goes to the one place a teenage boy will never get tired of ... the beach! There, he makes friends with Woodie, a local who clearly has never been outside of California. While he teaches Mondo some of the tricks of the trade as a local, he also seems to think that the businesses along the beach front are representative of any town in America.
New Fox comedy from Pineapple Express director
by Angie Argabrite, posted Sep 30th 2008 2:25PM

Since when is David Gordon Green a comedic director? I mean, sure the guy did Pineapple Express -- and it was funny, but have you ever caught any of his previous movies, like All the Real Girls, Undertow or Snow Angels? All of them have their merit (my personal fave is All the Real Girls, starring Zooey Deschanel and the undersung Paul Schneider), but there's really nothing in them that would hint that Green, who wrote and directed them all, had a comedic bone in his body. But apparently, not only is he a writer-director of funny movies now, but he's also a writer of animated sitcoms.
Or at least one -- the Hollywood Reporter's got word that Fox has picked up Good Vibes, which he's writing, about a "crazy group of high school students living in a Southern California coastal community." Huh? Green was born in Arkansas, raised in Texas and went to college in North Carolina. Where's he coming up with the inspiration to write about high schoolers in the OC? And where's this new comedy stuff coming from? Guess the guy's expanding his repertoire. If the series shows the comic chops of Pineapple, I wouldn't complain. I'm just a little puzzled, is all. What do you think?
