'Human Target' - 'Corner Man' Recap
(S01E09) 'Human Target' jumped back to case-of-the-week mode after last week's back story-heavy hour, but I'm not complaining. Like 'Fringe,' this is one of those shows that constantly delivers solid stand-alone episodes. This week, Chance entered an underground martial arts tournament to get a fighter off the hook with a dangerous gangster. I was hoping this ep would exploit the 'Enter the Dragon' fighting competition gimmick a little more. I was expecting brutal hand-to-hand combat scenes, tense build-ups to each fight, and opponents that got bigger and scarier as the episode went along.
Instead, the fights kinda seemed to happen in the background. Chance fought a few guys who pretty much looked the same and seemed to go down a little too easily. The real intrigue sprang from all the high-stakes gambling and backdoor deals surrounding the fights.
Kandyse McClure Talks the Demise of Dee, 'Battlestar Galactica'

Kandyse McClure's 'Battlestar Galactica' character Lt. Anastasia Dualla was certainly behind the scenes to start, even though she played a crucial role. As the central person in the CIC (center-in-command) aboard the rickety battlestar, she was often first to hear the orders coming, and was always on top of incoming enemy Cylons. As the series progressed, she became more and more integral to the goings-on of the crew, and her character blossomed into one of the most riveting arcs of the whole series.
With a year gone by since the finale, McClure looks back on her 'BSG' run with a sincere fondness – enough to the point where she can hardly watch certain episodes. Now living in Toronto, and set to appear at Wizard World Toronto Comic Con, McClure sat down to talk with AOL TV about her life since 'BSG', what it was like being on such a groundbreaking show, and what she learned while walking the halls of the beleaguered battlestar.
Spring TV: Which Pilots Will Crash and Burn?

There are two groups of people who get really excited about pilot season: L.A. actors hoping for a break and television writers. Being a member of the latter category, I admit to a tingly feeling creeping over me as word of the shows in development at all the big networks are starting to leak out. While most people are attributing feelings of renewal to the change in the weather, I'm happily anticipating what J.J. Abrams has in store for us this fall.
TV Casting: Lindsey Vonn to Go for Gold on 'Law & Order'
Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn is eyeing another Gold medal-winning performance -- this time, on NBC's 'Law & Order.' Bob Costas broke the exciting news to her during an interview segment on Saturday, in which he revealed that she will play a jury foreman in a future episode. 'Law & Order' is said to be Vonn's favorite show. [TV Guide]More casting news after the jump.
'Battlestar's' Park Lands on 'Hawaii Five-0' Remake
Grace Park seems to have a thing for television remakes. She shot to fame as Boomer on 'Battlestar Galactica' and now she's going to have a role on the new 'Hawaii Five-0' on CBS. Granted, in between the two roles she also appeared on 'The Cleaner' on A&E with Benjamin Bratt. She's not the only ex-'Battlestar' babe to keep working. Tricia Helfer now has a steady gig on 'Dark Blue'. Katee Sackhoff just got cast on an unnamed ABC pilot (and had a memorable appearance on 'The Big Bang Theory'). Given both of their statuses on 'Battlestar' as ageless Cylons, it's even conceivable that down the road Park or Helfer will show up on the prequel series.
For those 'Lost' fans, 'Hawaii Five-0' also stars Daniel Dae Kim.
With the addition of Grace Park, are you planning on watching the remake of 'Hawaii Five-0'? Were you planning on watching it anyway?
Maxim is giving us half-naked Cylons
In celebration of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of the Battlestar Galactica movie "The Plan," Maxim is having a cover and series of photos of the two sexiest Cylons in the 12, Tricia Helfer and Grace Park. Not that we need anything to be released in order to appreciate the half-naked bodies of Ms. Helfer and Ms. Park. Dictionary Day would be an adequate reason for me to admire these hard-working actresses.Notice how all the female Cylon models are quite attractive and the males ... aren't quite. For the females, we have Grace Park, Tricia Helfer, Lucy Lawless, Rekha Sharma and Kate Vernon (who is older, but still quite the knockout). On the male side there are more attractive male-model types (Callum Rennie and Michael Trucco, most notably), but we also have folks like Dean Stockwell, Michael Hogan and Aaron Douglas. When will the latter three be posing for Maxim?
New Battlestar Galactica webisode, poster now online
Pity Felix Gaeta. First, he was almost shot out of an airlock. Then he lost a leg. Now, it looks like he's in for one long, terrible day in "The Face of the Enemy," the 10-part Battlestar Galactia webisode series that premiered today on SciFi.com. Click through for more, somewhat spoilery, info about the first chapter of "Enemy," written by Jane Espenson and Seamus Kevin Fahey. You'll also find the full webisode schedule and a larger version of the new Season 4.5 poster featuring Starbuck's, er, chest after the jump.
Rumors hit the set of Battlestar Galactica about TV movie
Fans of the almost late, definitely great Battlestar Galactica over at Sci Fi can keep their hopes alive that the series may return in the form of those oft-rumored movies. On June 27, Grace Park said that rumors of a Battlestar Galactica made-for-TV film have reached the set, where they recently had their wrap party for the four-year series. None of the actors have been contacted, and as we've been reporting all over the place here on TV Squad, the various actors and actresses are getting snatched up left and right for new shows.Park's rumor had shooting beginning in August, which seems a tremendous stretch, as most of the new fall shows the actors are appearing in will be filming at that time. It would make more sense to try and film it during breaks. Or maybe it's going to go the route of Razor and feature mostly non-regular actors. Hell, she may have heard about the filming of prequel series Caprica.
Who knows what the hell is going on, but this is the new media. Facts be damned, I love Battlestar Galactica, and if Park had said this shortly before vomiting and passing out drunk off her ass, it'd still be worth a post. Anyone hear anything more?

You have a toaster? Then you may win the 'Make a Cylon' contest
So, you're sitting in front of your flat-screen, watching your Season Three DVD of Battlestar Galactica, in anticipation of the new season starting April 4th, and you happen to glance over at your 2-Slice stainless steel toaster. As you stare at your reflection in the gleaming metal you think 'Hey, if I put some flashing lights on the face of that toaster it would look like a Cylon's head. But, who in hell would be interested in seeing something like that other than myself?'
Funny you should think that, because someone is interested in seeing your creation. In fact, three someones in the form of Scifi.com, dvice.com, and Make magazine are willing to judge your work, along with others, to see who can mod or make a Cylon from scratch. If they like what you made they'll give you a chance to show your creation on the SCI FI Channel.
And you thought putting blinking lights on your toaster was stupid, didn't you?
Battlestar Galactica panel at Sci Fi's digital press tour, part two - VIDEO

I'm finally through what's been a surreal yet exhausting couple of days in Vancouver. On my long trip back to Boston, I'll be preparing some stuff for you all to read, mostly dealing with how, as a fan of these shows, what it's like to step foot on the actual filming locations and touch things that, until now, we've only seen on television.
As promised, here's the second part of the digital press tour panel with cast members of Battlestar Galactica. I'm hoping to get the Atlantis and Eureka (and Flash Gordon) panels up within the next couple of days, as long as my new copy of the films work this time around. Enjoy!
Battlestar Galactica panel at Sci Fi's digital press tour, part one - VIDEO

OK folks, I'm a bit jetlaggy and all out of sorts, but this is the best I could pull together for you until I'm back on my game later today. As you know, I'm out in Vancouver at a "digital press tour" thrown by Sci Fi for several of its hits shows, including, of course, Battlestar Galactica. As part of the tour, we were all given DVDs of the interview panels we did for each of the shows (Eureka, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica).
I'd like to thank the folks of Sci Fi and of course the guys from Battlestar who took the time to come sit with us for an hour.
Part one of the panel is after the jump. I'll have the second part ready later today. Enjoy!
