A Bananas Foster Food Fight Breaks Out on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 11th 2011 7:00PM
Leah Remini, Duff Goldman, and Holly Robinson Peete make up after a food fight on 'The Talk'Bananas Foster is tasty, and its ingredients are surprisingly easy to throw. That's what Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and chef Duff Goldman (from 'Ace of Cakes') found out on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) during a segment that was supposed to be about cooking. Or at least assembling deserts. But it quickly became more about disassembling deserts when Goldman started sprinkling some of the ingredients on Remini's head.

Remini wasn't having it. "You know what?" she said, turning to Peete, who was holding a frosting sleeve. "Don't play with me." Remini squeezed the sleeve to shoot whipped cream at Goldman. Then the whipped cream and bananas started flying everywhere as the trio declared war, and an honest to goodness food fight broke out.

Ludo Lefebvre, Holly Robinson Peete, and Leah Remini on 'The Talk'Holly Robinson Peete revealed a hidden talent and French chef Ludo Lefebvre revealed a crush Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). Peete, Levebvre, and Leah Remini participated in a cooking segment, making a special taco recipe with a French twist.

As they were setting up the segment, Peete let loose a stream of very convincing French, putting Lefebvre at ease, since, as he said, his English is not very good. High-fiving Remini, Peete said, "I paid attention in French class." It impressed Lefebvre, but perhaps he was predisposed to being impressed by Peete. "I'm shaking a little," he said. "Because when I was a young kid I had a crush on you. Always look at you."

The Women of 'The Talk' Debate Male Birth Control and Celibacy (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 26th 2011 5:45PM
Leah Remini talks male birth control on 'The Talk'With a male birth control pill reportedly well on its way to market, the women of 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) discussed whether they'd trust men to use it properly, and what the future would look like with more male options for birth control. What they foresaw was not pretty.

On the question of whether she would trust her man to take a daily birth control pill, Leah Remini gave a resounding "Hells no," adding, "I can just see our husbands with the little packet going, 'Uh, okay, missed, missed, missed, uh ... Dude, do we take 29 at the same time?'" Sharon Osbourne also thought less condom use could bring disgusting results. "Everybody would be covered, covered in herpes," she said.

The conversation then turned to celibacy, more specifically, women who have decided not to have sex. "The person really annoys me who says, I won't have sex, but I will do this, this, and this," said Remini. Holly Robinson Peete thought there were good reasons to have sex before marrying a partner. "How do you know if the guy is going to be delivering the goods if you don't take a test drive?" she said. Ladies just might want to check the guy's packet first.

Peete copped to her love of chicken and waffles, but seemed surprised to hear Raven-Symon describe her signature method of eating them in such vivid detail. "I will remember this forever," said Raven-Symone. "You take the waffle, you cut it in half, you dip it like a taco in the thing, and then you put your chicken inside of it. It was so weird to me. But I enjoyed watching it."

Tiffani Thiessen Had an Anthony Weiner-Style Stalker (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 16th 2011 6:00PM
Tiffani Thiessen on 'The Talk'Tiffani Thiessen revealed Thursday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) that she once received a nude photo from a man, Anthony Weiner–style, but wouldn't say who that person was. She did say he was a famous baseball player, more famous now than he was in the mid-'90s, when the man sent her a full-body nude photo of himself in an attempt to woo her into dating him.

Thiessen said she was talking about the incident for the first time in public, and hadn't even told her husband about it. "He's even more famous now, but he was somewhat famous then," said Thiessen of the man. "[He] sent me a photo, a head shot at first, asking me out. And then I guess because I didn't respond, he followed up with another sort of picture."

Thiessen said it happened while she was still on 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and that the player in question is still playing. That's as far as she would go, but Holly Robinson Peete vowed 'The View' team would crack the case. Hopefully Thiessen didn't keep the photos.

Jill Zarin Tells Leah Remini She'd Make a Great 'Real Housewife' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 15th 2011 5:10PM
Leah Remini on 'The Real Housewives of New York City' on 'The Talk''The Real Housewives of New York City' is missing its most recognizable face this season without Bethenny Frankel. But that hasn't hurt the show, said Jill Zarin on Wednesday's 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). Zarin said she was happy for Frankel and all of her post-show success, and then got into the details that make the show popular, the interpersonal friction between the different housewives.

At the insistence of Leah Remini, Zarin addressed her troubles with fellow housewife Ramona Singer. "Have you sat her down, seriously, off camera and said, 'Ramona, come and watch the show and look how you look," said Remini. Zarin said she was having problems with Singer lying about small details, like whether Zarin owned the Ferrari she drove in season one.

Remini was so passionate about the feud that Holly Robinson Peete asked Zarin if she thought Remini would make a good addition to the cast. Zarin said she would, and Remini seemed open to the idea, saying she loves the show.

Donald Trump's Ego is 'The Celebrity Apprentice's' Biggest Problem

by Joel Keller, posted Mar 15th 2010 7:29PM
Season 9 cast of 'The Clebrity Apprentice'
One of the mantras that any fan of 'The Apprentice' has heard over the show's nine Donald Trump-filled seasons is that "You never know who Mr. Trump is going to fire."

It's the aspect of the show that makes it unique in the sea of reality contest shows on the air right now. There's no panel of judges conferring on who should be eliminated, no one getting the ax because they came in last. No, the outcome of each episode is purely up to Donald Trump.

And that's where the show runs into its biggest problem, especially now that celebrities are involved.

It goes without saying that Trump's got an ego that's bigger than the tower that bears his name. But he's made firing decisions in the last couple of 'Celebrity Apprentice' seasons that really made me think he was acting more like a TV producer than a shrewd businessman. And if last night's season premiere is any indication of what Trump is thinking this year, 'The Celebrity Apprentice' is going to be tough to watch.

The action starts 9 PM ET Sunday on NBC. Before then, we've studied the field and calibrated who the likely winner will be.

See for yourself after the jump.

News from the yellow carpet: Simpsons ride launches at Universal Studios

by Kristin Sample, posted May 18th 2008 11:02AM
The Simpsons Ride
I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood on Saturday for the revealing of The Simpsons Ride. Celebs walked the "yellow" carpet. The mayor welcomed the crowds and led the countdown. A human cannonball was shot into the air. And a yellow sheet dropped to reveal a 32-foot Krusty the Clown face at the entrance to the attraction.

Despite the launch being for The Simpsons, there were hardly any members of the cast there on the yellow carpet. Kelsey Grammer (Sideshow Bob) was there along with creator Matt Groening and producer James L. Brooks but no other voice talents were anywhere to be found. See who I talked to and read more about the ride unveiling after the jump.
