Huey Lewis' 'Heart of Rock & Roll' Can't Take Victoria's Costume on 'Hot in Cleveland' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 18th 2011 4:15AM
'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land) added a framing sequence to this episode, that actually worked pretty well. Sure, it was just a fun nod to 'Sex and the City,' but framing it with an article Melanie was writing created a nice cohesiveness to the tale.'Sex and the City' permeated this story of hooking up in Ohio. While Melanie sought to see if she could have sex with no strings attached, Victoria is surprised by Johnny (Huey Lewis). Her entire relationship with him has been no strings attached, but after he suffers a heart attack on the front porch, he changes.
That front porch is turning into a dangerous place, between Joy shooting her son there and Rick seducing the women there, they should consider maybe never using the front door again.
Huey Lewis Sings 'I Am the World' (VIDEO)

Having been left out of the 'We Are the World' remake to benefit Haiti, Huey Lewis recorded a solo version of the song in a parody shown on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC).Lewis, a participant in the 1985 original, changes the lyrics of the song to "I am the world," sings backup to himself and mimics various other singers while wearing a variety of outlandish wigs.
Watch the video after the jump.
Sit Down, Shut Up: Back in Time

(S01E04) So it's bad when a comedy makes you want to cry, right? I mean, it's not their fault, I'm sure that when they animated the scene of the Knob Haven High staff sitting around eating cheese cake, Bea Arthur was still alive. But when they played the Golden Girls music, I couldn't help but think that was a much better show.
The whole Golden Girls thing was just many of the random, awkward 80s parodies they did this episode. I liked the cold open where they were initially assigning themselves parts in 80s teen comedies, and the later Huey Lewis payoff was pretty funny, but I need help.
I'm not sure if I missed it, but I did not get the bagel thing. For the life of me, I just couldn't figure it out; and no matter what the show said, it wasn't funnier on re-watch.
